Got a few losses in a row while ranked 1st in the team.
Strangely enough I think it's partially my fault. I'm new to Splatoon; and I think if I have better map awareness I could help the team more in that aspect.

1. Dualies are fun but they're probably also safe.
2. Rollers and Paint Bucket people are my enemies.
3. The music is incredible.
4. Green seems to be the superior color in this game. Both Marie and Marina are green.
5. Splatfests can be cruel with their choices.
6. I love it when my Inkling says "Excuse me" as he lands after doing a super jump.
7. The female Inkling has the most adorable voice I've ever heard in a video game. Seriously why is she so cute?!
I mean listen to this!

Good chargers are annoying to deal with, you can find many good spots in the maps where you can't be reached easily so people don't really like 'em.
I don't have any tips I can give, I suck with them too. Even the shooting range targets prove too difficult for me to hit with a charger..
The second scroll in the game has a picture of the final battle of Splatoon's Hero Mode, where you see DJ Octavio and Agent 3 fighting it out. You can clearly see Agent 3 with long hair, so that playable character is a she. :>
Also, a younger Marina can be seen in the audience, so you know the reason why she wanted to become a DJ.

You can see Agent 3 wearing the original Heroe's Gear, as Callie and Marie had their own outfits as Agent's 1 & 2.
In the original, I wanted to switch to a playable octoling. I'm hoping that there is a chance for the sequel, a la a future update.
I know they probably have to design a male octoling to complement the female design, but I want to play as one, gosh darn it!

There's a billboard to vote for mayo in the middle of the plaza.
If you want to vote for ketchup, however, you have to power off your Switch and throw it in the trash, and then sit on your couch twiddling your thumbs, waiting for Reggie to arrive with a clipboard for you to check saying "Ketchup."

I'm level 11 and still using Aerospray. I haven't touched Salmon Run or Ranked mode lol. Maybe one day I'll try them. I like Turf War too much.
Your MMR sucks and you get matched with better lower level players maybe?
You should give the other modes a shot, as I personally love Hero Mode & Salmon Run. Also, the boss at GrizzCo is a riot to listen to.
I'm currently working to max out the Hero gear with the best stats, but I'm trying to find a weapon that complements the abilities. Any suggestions, guys?

small question about super jumps :
sometime people put a point where you can super jump at it, without the need of a palyer to be there.... i absolutely don't know how to select it on the map!

I've heard that gyro is best but I prefer handheld with no gyro.

Aim with the gyros. Just like with teamates.
If you have been using the dpad to launch to teamates instead of superior gyros then I'm sorry.
In other news: I reached 75 hours. I'm starting to crash hard tho. Only played 4 hours today lol.

Motion seems far more accurate, the right stick has some weird drift acceleration so I had to suck it up and go motion.
I'm so far using +5 motion handheld and +2 when on TV, seems pretty good, but I still can't seem to lock aim the way I am used to in FPS games lol
Are you using default with no gyro in handheld? I couldn't get the right stick set to a spot that felt "accurate" =(

I should've clarified I'm on World 3 of Hero Mode. I go back and forth.
I'm not an ace sniper, but I did pretty well in S1 until I dropped them for Octobrush and have trying to learn to use them again in the last few days, I'm now consistently getting 5 kills each match reaching 10 fairly often, 0 deaths and ranking 1st or 2nd in turf painted. Though I'm still far from being able to carry a team like I can do with other weapons and still miss a lot of easy shots. Anyway, what I've found has helped me improve my results a lot:
-Don't camp. That makes it easier for the enemies to avoid you. So try moving around a lot. As an exercise, force yourself to change location after firing 3 shots, even if there aren't enemies around and you're just painting turf. Shooting reveals your location and that makes you vulnerable. Changing locations frequently makes it harder for the enemy to avoid you, how will they do so if they don't know where your shots will come from?
-Try to stay alive. One thing that makes snipers a great asset for a team is that they provide a safe jumping spot, but this only works if you manage to keep that spot safe from enemies and aren't constantly respawning.
-Always have a path to escape. Snipers either shoot or move, so if an enemy is getting close just flee to another location where you can snipd him before he gets in range.
-Take the center. If you can hold the center of the stage you'll become an awesome asset to your team: you'll stop the enemy from advancing and you'll provide a very nice jump spot. Besides, you'll get a lot of opportunities to snipe people coming at you from the front and be constantly repainting turf. This is where a sniper truly shines.
-Lay down roads for your teammates and block the enemy. Maybe you see a friend fighting someone but you can't snipe the enemy. Try laying some ink to increase your teammate's mobility, or shoot right next to the enemy to impede his movement.
-Aim away from the enemy as the shot is charging, then put the crosshair on them and shoot. This way they won't see your line of sight until it's too late.
-Use your specials, Ink Curtain helps a lot to stop enemy advance and hold the center, basic bomb is better to deal with enemies who are too close (in these situations use them to help you escape).
-Aim where the enemy is going, not where they are. The best snipers read enemy movement and anticipate it. This will make your shots hit much more often.

Yeah I think it's the other way around. Agent 3 is two years older and has better hygiene.
Those are created by one of the sub weapons/throwables.

i know that, what i asked is how i select them on the map to super jump on them.... and apparently you can only do that with the gyro... which is pretty dumb
