Gotta love how they just deduct points from you for having a disconnect in a Salmon Run while also warning that they will block you from playing if it keeps happening. I'm pretty sure these disconnects aren't my fault, cause they don't seen to happen on any other online gane I play

I know in splat zones people want to get into the action so they super jump, but it takes like three seconds to swim there safely as opposed to near guaranteed death

why

It’s all based on retweets I believe. You have to be social media popular to get in on Inkopolis Square.
Oh...that really sucks. =/ Welp, I'm never spending hours on a Splatfest post again then... >_>

EDIT: Are we sure about this, though? Like, is it for sure based on retweets, not likes? Or do likes matter too? And does that mean that on Facebook it's shares that matter? Had I known this ahead of time I would've used Facebook instead of Twitter since I'm more active there... But I can't seem to find anything confirming any of this. Wish we knew more about how it works...

Anyway, if it is indeed based on retweets/shares, here's my tweet if anyone wants to help out~

I see I have enemies here and should just join Ketchup.

Not trying to derail the thread too much, but what's wrong with miracle whip?
Don't listen to those fools. They're just behind on everything.

Ketchup has it's own set of enemies too. So far I've seen interesting battles in other gaming websites between Ketchup and Catsup. Also Mustard.

This splatoon switch pro controller is sweet. Great feel in my hand and liking all the details on It, matches nicely with the Switch with the neon colored joycons attached :)

Gonna have to take it for a spin later.

I'll retweet and like it, as it's a much better version of my garbage Kirby post.

Is it even possible to get out of C- while solo queuing?
Yes. You need to be prepared to do a lot of the heavy lifting on your team especially in modes like Tower Control and Rainmaker. If you can handle yourself in fights and can nudge your team into focusing on the objective, it's not too bad. I find Splat Zones the easiest to carry a team in since one really powerful player can shut down a disorganised team of rookies solo.

I got my first snail, can I pay for extra slots after using it?
HOW

Did anyone else get just ruined in Salmon Run this weekend? in one match I played the water was up with very little platform available, their were more "grates" you could fall through in Squid form, than solid platforms and my team got smoked in the first round with one egg collected. My online rank took a dirty beating this weekend.

Find the thing that glows the most. Don't open those things at random or you'll be overwhelmed by salmonides very quickly.

This one is easiest when at high tide because of very small number of choices, so it's quicker to know which one has the boss.

What is "glows the most"?

I still can't tell which valve is the proper one in this wave. :(

Judd gives you a Super Sea Snail once you reach Level 30. He gives you another at every level afterwards (up to Level 50).

I've definitely seen more Team Mayo posts and no Team Ketchup ones, but is that because I joined Team Mayo? (under the assumption that the Pearl team will again be less popular so i'll have more matches that count compared to last time).

I get to one win away from either A or A+ splatzones and then lose 6 in a row, 3 of those losing at the very last second or overtime. So dejecting.....I really hate pump track now.

Yeah I've never been able to tell any difference between the glowing things on that one. When I play that one with friends we just start opening them and hope luck is on our side.

On the plus side, my sniping skills saved my team's ass three times with the giant long skeleton boss and the dude with the green thing emitting from its head.

Lots of players don't know how to safely use super jump yet. It's one of the most common mistakes I see when playing. I'm assuming these are new players who don't know better yet but will learn in time.

Don't look at the glow, look at the flow. Much easier to judge. If nothing else, learn that if the flow's smaller than Pearl, go to the opposite side of wherever you are right now.

Yes. Learn how to flank and setup an ambush, and you can wreck the opposing team and clear a path forward for your own team. If you treat Splatoon like a normal shooter and expect to win just by pointing your weapon in the general direction of the objective, without thinking about controlling the rest of the stage via paint, then the C- rating is unfortunately accurate. If you learn how to setup flanking paths and ambush (without getting ambushed yourself by people running from the spawn) then your ranking should rise accordingly. :-)

(Alternately, pick up a slosher and slosh the hell out of the objective ... I like to harry and harass, but there are several legitimate roles on each team.)

The game can't determine whether it was accidental or intentional and that's mainly for people who intentionally do so

So gear no longer has unique main abilities tied to it? The Salmon Run polo has a random main ability and the splatnet orders have different ones as well compared to the ones you can buy in game?

No, gear still has set main abilities, anything you buy from the shops will have always the same ability, it's just the Splatnet shop (aka Anniezon) and the Salmon Run gear that can have different abilities.

Gear in the shops have specific primary abilities. Gear from amiibo and the hero replicas can only ever have their set primary ability.

Gear from Salmon Run receives a random primary. However, I haven't seen a shirt exclusive primary roll on the polo so I dunno if it can even get them.

Gear from SplatNet have a random primary and definitely can include the exclusive primaries as proper for the gear class.

Exclusive primaries are:

Headgear: Opening Gambit, Last-Ditch Effort, Tenacity, Comeback
Shirts: Ninja Squid, Haunt, Thermal Ink, Respawn Punisher
Shoes: Stealth Jump, Object Shredder, Drop Roller

Ability Doubler is exclusive to splatfest tees.

Cool, thanks for the clarification.

How are people getting such intricate art done on their tags in the game? Some of them look way too fine and detailed to be using a finger with Switch's touch screen. Is there a compatible stylus or something?? If it's just uploaded images, how's that done?
