Don't use Tri Slosher

I am surprised I dont see it more often because it is that good. However any weapon with range usually has the upper hand.

I've actually been wondering what the value to Splatoon's economy actually is, considering you can't trade with anyone.
It's just always felt like an additional hurdle to getting the look you want with the stats you want.
Some kind of clan, they were all over the place in Splatoon 1 too.
I played against quite a few people with that in their names during the Splatfest.

Alright, this isn't really related to this game (well, I AM going to download it), but there's no other good place to ask.
I live in Sweden (EU). Does anyone know if I'm able to redeem download codes from Amazon UK (also EU), or are they strictly tied to countries? Or is it all region-based (PAL, NA, JP)?

20,000 to wash your gear is expensive. I don't have to buy every weapon and every outfit tho but still, you already sacrifice the XP why the need to pay![]()
Ability chunks are incredibly hard to collect, right? To the point of being a useless game mechanic?
Like, you have to scrub gear for 20,000 coins. And that gets you three random ability chunks. And you need 20 of a single kind to use to effect.
So it's like a million coins and 100 hours to eventually get there?
I'm not getting it.

You also get to keep the ability chunks you scrubbed off. Splatfest Tees are only 2000 to scrub so is an opportune time to farm some chunks.

Thats how progression works in most multiplayer shooters though. If it were just a deep character creation screen and abilities you could change at any time there would be no reward for playing the game.
That's good to know for the future.
The downside to scrubbing Splatfest tees is that (at least with this last 'fest) the t-shirt was branded so you were way more likely to get certain chunks that others. Which wasn't too bad because I was getting Ink Resistance left and right and that's a great ability to get, but still. Don't expect to farm tons of different kind of chunks from your Splatfest tee.
Considering in most cases you're paying 20k for one ability chunk you want, that price sucks. Especially considering you need 60 for a gear with triples.
I think the system overall is fine though. Everyone doesn't need completely maxed out gear a month after launch
I'm not asking for that either. There's other ways to reward gameplay than constant XP bars or skinner boxes anyway.
I'm fine with putting in little work to get ideal gear/stat loadouts, but the current level of randomness and cost is almost at gacha levels.
The whole gear system is complicated and labor intensive enough for me to not care that much about it. I also haven't really seen measurable differences in gameplay based on which abilities are equipped on my gear.
I usually just wear what looks cool and has decent abilities tied to it.

Now I have to find that beret. Have the jacket and the boots as well.I definitely choose gear by look first and foremost. Rocking a military beret, leather jacket, and punk boots. That's a badass looking inkling girl.

Count me inAnnouncing it early, to hopefully have a team by that time.
I'm planning on doing League (Team of 4), tonight at around 7:30 PM Est.
Ideally, I would like to to have a group that can be on the discord Splatoon server, and voice chat. Although not required.

I found exactly one (1) inkling in my plaza that was ever wearing one. That was yesterday.
Bought it even though the ability was something I'm unlikely to ever use.
I am def adding this to my list of needed abilities.![]()
When you order an item an inkling has, you always get the same main ability right?
Say if you order an Anniezon version of a hat, you'll get that one and not the default?
Yeah, I bought the Beret even thought it has Opening Gambit it doesn't seem like a fantastic ability for Turf War. Ranked modes maybe.
Still waiting on it to pop up on SplatNet with something like Ink Saver Main or Ink Resistance Up.
Would have definitely used it if it had the opposite one to Opening Gambit. (Is it just called Closing Gambit?) That's the better of the two for all modes.
Last-Ditch Effort. That one's way better for Turf War at least, though I'm still iffy on losing a main ability for most of a match.
I did try out Opening Gambit once and holy shit the speed boost was something else. I had a hard time noticing the effect of one Run Speed Up or Swim Speed Up, but Opening Gambit's Boost was like both of those on steroids. I could easily see a really good player using that to get to an objective super fast.

Sturgeon Shipyard is an awful fucking map.
LDE was eventually patched in the first game to include quick respawn to the list of perks, and also set it to activate not only on time, but if the opposing team reached a certain score threshold (30 iirc). Fot those reasons it became really useful in tight matches actually.
As for how it works now, I don't know if they rolled back the QR addition but I'd guess they still have the conditions for ranked activation still available.
Sturgeon Shipyard is the best map.

Lol, just saw this in game.

You also get the ability chunks from rerolling and replacing. So them sea snails are good for farming ability chunks too.
Abilities? Did you quote the wrong post maybe?
Ninja Squid is exclusive to shirts, so no.Can you roll Ninja Squid on head gear? Also - is stealth jump that good? Cant i see the enemy landing site if they have it equipped?
And this is exactly why we should be able to buy sea snails. X gold for 1 snail
It's a french youtube channel of a couple playing games. They ask the kids who watch their videos to put G&K in their handle...I'm now seeing more posts related to whatever the fuck "G&K" is than furry posts.
Who or what is G&K? Sometimes its also just GK too.
Can't you reroll with money? I'm not high enough level to know for sure.
League might be the solutionKeep getting on teams that blow the match at the last minute Port Mackel. Stop taking defeat from the jaws of victory.

I had a team on turf wars that dominated for 2:30 of the match and decided it was time to push into the enemy spawn. Problem was, they let the whole team slip through to the middle of the map with only me back to defend it.
We ended up losing because we controlled the two spawns and they had the entire center.
Closest I've come to throwing my controller in years.
