Honestly the Squid Sisters kinda look like classic Mobsters/Maffia a bit clothing wise.

Pearl and Marina look more like gangsters or from a motorcycle club.

We're such horrible people!

Marina and Pearl are probably just hanging out, drinking some soda and listening to music having a great time. While millions of people are pitting them against one another.
 
Thanks for the help Charger guy with one kill. You're an asset to every team you're on in Turf War. If I never see Chargers in Turf War again it'll still be too soon, because every time one's on my team they're the most inept garbage players imaginable, but when I'm going against them they actually know what they're doing and cover a huge amount of space for there team.

Also just played my first 3v3 match. Real fun stuff right there. Not like it didn't start off as 4v4 but God forbid people don't practice basic online gaming etiquette and not rage quit after they die once or twice.
 
I was kind of intimidated by ranked mode, but bit the bullet so I could unlock league play and finally play with my friend. Went 6-2 in ranked splat zones and got B- really quick. Friend and I went 5-2 in league match rainmaker (my favorite mode so far). Playing on the same side as my friend for once made the game 20x more enjoyable.

A couple questions about league play

Do I lose the ability to do league play if I rank down from B-? What happens if I team up with a different friend now and then team up with the original friend later, does my first "group" lose their rank?
 
After getting to level 24 and B- on Tower, I feel like I've hit a wall. Superfreshed the NZap, Aerospray, and freshed a couple other weapons. But the games lately have either been completely awful for me or I'm on fire...not sure if that's me or my team. Either way, it's become more frustrating than enjoyable. Feel like I'm hitting my head against a brick wall.

Thinking of taking a break, but I'm hoping it can be enjoyable again. Right now, online is either bliss or frustration. Nothing in between. Is it more fun with a team you know? I'm hoping yes.
 
I now want a survival horror game where Pearl and Marina realize that the Squid Sisters have been slowly killing off the competition — literally — and that they're next on the hit list.

You'd have to use Pearl's diminutive size to hide from Callie and Marie, and as a last resort you could sacrifice Marina as a decoy or meat shield.

N Zapper for Rainmaker. I see it as a mission to kill one squid mostly.

Splat Zones and TC I use Tri-Slosher for both, because I need to rain death over some concentrated area people will rushing towards.

Chill, dude. Turf War is where people try new weapons, you're bound to run into people inept at their weapon - especially chargers. They have perhaps the steepest learning curve in the game.

Two things:
-The magic always seems to be back for this game after I take a bit of a break
-Yes, teams are really fun. Losing is a bit less frustrating too, as it often feels like you just got outplayed instead of everyone else being... Bad.

That's good to know. I think what appeals to me most in the game is being part of a team and playing a role. Weapons are fun because they change the role on the team. It's obviously hard to do that when it's solo. Maybe I'll take a break and then try to hook up with some regular people or something.

The best brands are probably:

Rockenburg, Krak-On, Splash Mob, Tentatek, and Squidforce (best brand in the game).

In the end the only thing that really matters is having a piece of gear that a) you like and b) has the right main ability, since those things you can't change, but having 3* stuff with the right branding means you get ability chunks of the right type faster.

Salmon run is really good right now. The Flingza is surprisingly good for splatting salmonids, I thought it was going to be awful when I saw it on the rotation, but it's totally competent once you start playing to its strengths.

Apparently people are saying splatfest was so onesided because of popularity of a choice, fucked up the results of splatfest?

Any takes on that?
 
So I was getting a bit nostalgic about the music from the first Splatoon, which had some hella fresh metalesque riffage going on at times (I absolutely loved it). Anyway, I stumbled onto this on Youtube and wanted to share because... Whoa!! Am I the only one missing this stuff? This is amazing!

People are salty and don't understand math. That's about it.

EDIT: I can't speak for Japan or Europe, but it wasn't even close to one-sided in the US. Battle results were almost as close to 50-50 as you could get.
 
That feeling when you buy a drink from Crusty Sean and then the piece of gear starts rolling a pure set.

My favorite hat is the Camo Mesh, with its Swim Speed + Ink Saver Sub brand. But after doing the Ink Saver Sub drink, the Swim Speed hat generated a Swim Speed in its first chunk. Now, I'm just like, do I stop and then drink a Swim Speed drink and start building a pure Swim Speed hat? Just one more Swim Speed would set it up. 15 more Ink Saver Sub battles on the drink. Maybe I'll just level other stuff and then do a Swim Speed run.

The amount of time it takes to level instead of rerolling makes the gear decisions tricky. I thought this game would have more freedom, but it feels like you gotta take what they give early on.

I don't think it was about the battle results

The explanation is, Marian had gotten a vast majority of the vote. So most people from what people were saying on twitter, played against mostly other ketchup people

When they played those people, that didn't count towards anything, what little battle's took place against mayo did.

That seems to be the explanation given

It doesn't really matter because "what little battles" ketchup had was "nearly battle Mayo had."

It adds up to the same amount every time. The only real problem is on an individual level, where you can say that perhaps better Ketchup players were too busy going against other ketchup teams and couldn't fight Mayo players. And the numbers are so vast that it doesn't particularly matter at that point. But BOTH TEAMS have an equal amount of battles with each other.

It did count towards something. Personal rewards (snails) basically boils down to how much you played to reach the "King/Queen" status, and even fighting fellow ketchup or fellow mayo folks still nets to individual points. Losing side does not really lose much snails compared to the winning side if their individual ranks are the same.

Ketchup vs Mayo were the only ones that count towards which side wins, that's true. But that's true for both sides. Mayo vs Mayo happened and also did not count. What counted was when Ketchup and Mayo teams met, Mayo team dominated the other side for more than 50% of the time.

If the popular team wants to win next time, then they better back it up by winning their turf wars against the other side lol.
