Uncharted: The Lost Legacy |OT| Ladies Trip

I did beat the game 2 days ago, took me 8:30 hours to do so. And imo this is the best Uncharted that i've played so far. The game is well balanced and the art direction is so good.. I will be satisfied if we kept getting mini Uncharted adventures from ND.

Chapter 9 was awesome!! Reckon this topped it for Naughty Dog so far in the Uncharted series. 12 hrs to wrap it up.

For their next title i'd like to see a high frame rate (60fps) mode on the pro as well as their quality mode.

Just finished it. The last chapter was so damn good. Hated the open world driving india chapter 4. So boring. But everything else was great. Highly recommended.

Edit: why are the ending credits taking so damn long. Unskipable. It’s been like 15 min of credits. Gonna quit the game. Hope it doesn’t lose my progress.

Don't quit the credits. Just let it play out and do something else.

Just finished it. Took me 6 and a half hours (I did skip the open world side quest but I have a save file so I can go back to it).

I enjoyed this game more than Uncharted 4 on a gameplay and level design standpoint. I liked U4's narrative more, but that's not to say this game doesn't have a strong narrative too. The last chapter hit Uncharted 2 levels of awesomeness. Really enjoyed it.

You sound like me so yes, the final set piece is really awesome among the best in the franchise.

Finish Chapter 9, and then we'll talk ;-). Chapter 9 wipes the floor with anything ND has done setpiece-wise in the past, imo.

Yep - no spoilers, but looking back on it, I think that I'd have to agree.

Just finished Chapter 9:

I figure if you accept that you're not going to get many set pieces besides the big one, then it's easy to accept.

For me... I accept it. That was the ultimate chapter and a love letter to the series.
It took the best parts of UC4's biggest set piece, which was my high bar before this game, and took UC2's best set piece, expanded on them, and made you appreciate everything Uncharted brought to the world of gaming.

Also, the last line in the game is fantastic. Perfect. Perfect!

This game also
made me like Sam a lot more. I liked him before, but what a character he was in this game.

So yeah, when you accept that it's mostly some arenas and exploration, nicely built, for most of the game, followed up by
possibly the best chapter of any Uncharted I've played,
then this game is totally worth it.

UC4 still easily has my favorite narrative and villain overall. It's probably still overall my favorite Uncharted, but this game is great regardless as to the fact that it was made in a year. Well done, Naughty Dog.

This was an absolute delight. But the Uncharted formula needs a serious shakeup. I hope this is the last great sendoff until they rework the series deeply - or simply move on to something brand new.

So happy you enjoyed it. Everything Uncharted means is so well-assembled in that chapter and is completely knocked out of the park. It left me gobsmacked.

Can't wait for TLOU 2. TLOU is easily me GOAT.

Just beat it

Absolutely phenomenal. As others have said, it was all the best parts of Uncharted distilled down into a single 8 hour, sublimely paced experience.

I would certainly buy and play another game with these characters as the leads. I surprisingly did not catch myself missing Nathan Drake at all, and that's not a knock on his character at all.

I generally play Uncharted games on Normal, but I may want to extend my playtime by tackling this on Hard. How does it compare, difficulty wise, with UC4?

I had the same thought, though I've tackled previous Uncharteds on hard/crushing. I rage quit in Chapter 8 and haven't been back. I'd advise normal as the difficulty scaling seems to pretty busted...

I just completed my play through, clocking in around 8 hours, including exploring for treasures and enjoying the scenery.

Overall, this game is terrific. Going in, I expected a drop-off in storytelling but nope, they completely outdid themselves. They did a great job of providing insight to Chloe while making sure it all made sense.

Visually it is a beast and the gameplay is more of the same (which is not a bad thing)

My only gripe is I wish they did more with the h
helicopter set piece
but that's just a small complaint.

Cannot wait too see where the series goes next, I'll definitely be there day one.

Finished it yesterday and really enjoyed it. Those last few setpieces were incredible, especially the
train segment. Easily better than Uncharted 2's train setpiece for me.

The main characters were handled really well. Chloe is one of my favorite Uncharted characters, and she was awesome here. Great dialogue and an amazing performance by Claudia Black. Nadine was pretty good too.
I liked those moments where she dropped her tough exterior, like in that area with all the monkeys. They did a great job of making her a likable character after just being kinda there in U4.

And then there's Sam. I didn't really care much for Sam in Uncharted 4, but I actually kinda liked him here since he didn't have as much of an impact on the plot. He works a lot better as a supporting character than as a main character. His dialogue, especially with Nadine, was pretty funny.

Asav was kind of a weak villain, but I guess that's par for the course with Uncharted. They did do a good job of making him intimidating though. I got pretty nervous when I saw him easily overpower Nadine during the first fight against him lol

I also really liked the semi-open world area. Hunting for those tokens and taking down enemy outposts was pretty fun. I hope TLOU2 has something similar.

Im convinced that
having to take down the helicopter
is impossible on crushing. Its just like never ending enemies

It's a hard fight, but there are only 2 reinforcement waves that spawn at specific triggers. A hint:
Use the water to lose aggro when necessary and it is manageable. You can even shoot a single enemy dead and jump in the water and repeat if you want, but it is easier to use stealth kills.

Should I collect all the tokens before completing the
3-4 symbol waterfall things
? Kinda digging the mini puzzles that each one has.

OK, so gotta say this is better than Uncharted 4 in my opinion. No filler, just fun and awesome set pieces. More of this please ND. Chloe is the GOAT. One of the best games I've played all year, also looks amazing on the Pro.

Man, this game is ridiculous on Crushing. I hate the combat changes that 4 made.

Thought it was way easier than 4. The silenced pistol and being able to avoid most encounters makes it laughable in places.

If you want to make it even easier then auto-aim is your friend. With the silenced pistol it targets the head automatically.

I didn't mind using this method because Crushing in these games are so poorly balanced to begin with. 4 almost had me pulling my hair out.

Glad there's already a guide up on finding the exact location of the tokens. Most of them have been relatively straight forward, but think I probably would have wasted a lot more time looking
for that hole to dive under in front of the elephant statue. Kept thinking I had to climb up the statue to find it or approach from the top of the nearby tower, but the solution was literally beneath me. Really was not expecting that as the opening is so hidden by the water.

I'm liking Chapter 4 overall, reminds me one of my favorite parts of Uncharted 4.

This game is amazing. I'm really impressed with how quickly while still adding a few new features to the single-player and adding a new mode to the multiplayer. I really hope that we get more of these.

Dishonored: Death of the Outsider seems to be a similar idea. I'm also picking that up too.

This is what uncharted 4 should have been...it's likenitntook the best of uc2 and uc4 and welded them together. And that ending along with the music!

Just got some time to put a few hours into the game and have been
spending time in the open area with the jeep.
So far I'm really enjoying it and Chloe is great fun to follow around.

I really liked that they kept the running gimmick of Nadine being able to just fuckin' WASH fools no matter how many there are around her like when she 1v2'd Sam/Nate and beat both their asses

Asav giving her that work got me worried until her and Chloe got their Dramatic Battle combos on lock and bounced his head off that bomb like 85 times

Ending set piece is also better than U4's big set piece which I never thought would be topped

Absolutely loved this game. Perfect balance, combat, story, everything.
Oh and it's gorgeous of course.

I do wish it were several chapters longer, because I never wanted this to end. I know it was never meant to be that way though.

In some ways it's better than Uncharted 4 or any of the other games really because of how it expands upon what makes the series great and lets you enjoy that. It has a more open feel to it despite being so linear. But again, the overall length to the game blunts some of that momentum, but understandably so.

I really hope ND keeps making Uncharted games, and by that I mean full length ones too.

Finished it earlier today. I love that we got a spiritual successor to the UC2 train set piece on modern hardware--it was absolutely incredible. I may play the next Uncharted adventure on easy though. Normal difficulty doesn't even allow you to play the game like the blockbuster it is.

Lost Legacy ended up getting an album of its own: http://www.romanmf.com/uncharted-the-lost-legacy

EDIT: Thanks for the heads up LiK

Endings (What's up with that?)

I've had that song on repeat since I finished.

Great pop tune and sadly even more politically relevant two years after its initial release.

Chloe playing the hero! Nate would be proud.

Really enjoyed that a lot. I want to play through it again right now but there's so much stuff to play that I'm at an impasse.

I love this series so much. I just beat lost legacy and I really hope it spins off into it's own thing. I wish a wrestling game would mimic the tag team stuff it just felt so good in this.

Nadin and Chloe dialogue spoiler:

Chloe: "It was as if Samuel Drake appeared out of thin air."

Translation = Naughty Dog being self aware: "Sorry for the random Sam push."

For those going for it, you have to say no to carrying your stats over for the chapter 1-5 without using a gun or grenade trophy or it won't unlock, make sure all stats have a 0 at the start.

Not so - I carried over stats to my Crushing run and just got The Way of the Warrior at the start of chapter five.

That was damn hard at times in chapter four, but all the more satisfying as a result!

Edit: just looking through some of the concept art - this game deserves an artbook, there's some fantastic stuff here... even before considering that from Janice Chu in the ending credits! Did she contribute ore widely to the game?

Just finished it.That was an almost perfect experience, another puzzle or two and it would have been perfect for me.The ending chapter was absolutely brilliant.I can't believe they made this in just over a year, fantastic work by naughty dog.
