I have zero faith in the Bubble wand being useful because it looks like it requires a bunch of team coordination to be good, and there's none of that with randoms.
Compare that with the Ink Jet where you get a couple of kills by yourself, no help required.
As someone that suffered from RSU placebo back in Splatoon 1, I can tell you that No, RSU still doesn't affect the walk speed while firing for any slosher.
My first 3 round were rousing successes, but the next few were awful. One team that managed to get 30 eggs in round 1 didn't know what to do in a Goldie Rush so we didn't hit quota in round 2. And this was on profreshional.
After I posted that I won 4 in a row
Granted that was on Overachiever, but I'm now back to profreshional. Phew. I don't pretend to be good at this, but I can tell it will be a tough match when I'm the only one inking the walls...
I thought for sure that the night version of Manta Maria would involve lights along the masts and rigging, but I suppose the nighttime cityscape is pretty sweet too.
Gonna be a weird splatfest having Forge Pros everywhere. Good opportunity to practice getting in on ranged fighters, I guess?

I doubt that'll be the case for the whole Splatfest. I think once people see that you can't get crazy points with a Pro they'll go back to their Aerosprays and it'll be status quo all over again.
Wow, I bet people would still use chargers if we had those maps.

I have had a terrible streak in Salmon Run lately too. Dropped a rank and a half... cant help but feel partially responsible
Seems like they're using Spltfests to playtest the Shifty Station map. That's a super cool idea, I hope they continue doing that with more maps! Gives you a fun insight into how the maps are developed over time
They said at the beginning that it would be available in Splatfests only. I kind of doubt it will ever be anything else.
How are you supposed to use it? I'm awful with it...

I wouldn't be shocked if we wind up receiving some kind of "final station" version of it permanently added after the last splatfest is over with, but otherwise yeah, they've said since the start that it's going to be an event-only map with a new layout each time it appears. I'm guessing they developed some sort of easy/standard tileset so that it's fairly easy to rearrange, since otherwise two years of unique maps would be awfully hard to pull off very well. I do think it's possible though that some of these ideas will show up in altered form and with new backgrounds in future permanent maps.
Don't take my advice, but I get the best use by shooting out the umbrella to ink a path. In tight corners you're right, you're screwed.
Overall a mixed day of Salmon Run. Some good rounds, some terrible. Like the team who refused to communicate during a Goldie Hunt... Not that I'm blameless. I'm useless with a charger during a Griller round. At least I ended the day where I started at Profreshonal. Plus I now have a lifejacket with inksaver sub.

Brella is so fun to use in Salmon Run.
Its so clutch reviving teammates you can't reach. Or quickly making a path of turf.

That's not exactly exclusive to the brella.
I love how even if you start with a disconnect, they'll still spawn the same amount of bosses. Yeah, that makes perfect sense, game.
Having to shoot them individually with such a slow rate of fire is exclusive to the brella tho, even chargers are better in those cases

Griller rounds are really starting to piss me off with how dumb the other players handle them.
The Grillers do not need all of us to swarm it. Smallfry are the main threat. Rapid fire or quick kill weapons focus on small fry and the heavy weapons eat the grillers.
