Absolutely. Anyone else old enough to remember a time in the late 80s/early 90s when damn near everyone you saw in public was wearing something similar to this? Those colors, that material... it looks fresh as the day is long on my Inkling girl, but maaaan it was rough seeing it on every single woman in my mom's aerobics class.

yep

I'm also from charlotte so I'd usually see them like this

Wow fuck that Salmon Run. Not only did one person DC on the second wave, but RNG decided to make it high tide with 2 then 3 flyfish from the start firing at separate times. The whole wave was literally us trying to us running from flyfish missiles. Obviously we lost.

Not liking these Salmon Run weapons at all!

Ridiculously short ranged weapons, and that charger(while they can be a life saver sometimes), I would rather it had no scope. Oh well... will have to see what I can do to adjust, cause I need dat cash!

I think it's a combination of both the loadout and stage that makes this Salmon Run feel pretty bad.

They made EU/NA version this time.

I know the stingray sucks but come on, where's the splat chargers...
Hey guy with the squiffer who's been on my team 5 straight rounds at the bottom of the scoreboard. Maybe try a different gun?

Him being on your team 5 games in a row is just bad luck.

Did you lose all 5? Is it turf war?

Every charger user in their infancy sucked mega ass. However the old ones such as myself had benefit of being raised during the period when rolling people over with the splat roller was considered viable. It wasn't such a matured environment.

Just had a Salmon Run match where during the mothership event the player with Stingray stood on the raised area right behind the basket and just surgically blasted the fuck out of each and every cooler trying to land on the large grated area. It was amazing! Just a sea of eggs there waiting to be grabbed.

Why has this strategy never occurred to me?? From now on, if I'm the guy with that special, that's exactly what I'm gonna go for. Made mothership easy as pie.

Honestly, Lost Outpost probably has the easiest Mothership rounds out of any of the three salmon maps so far.The map itself is fairly confined which means there aren't a ton of really out-of-the-way places for coolers to drop. One person monitoring each of the two sides and then two up the middle to help tackle the grates makes it pretty easy to reach just about everything and the basket's central location means it's also easy for everyone to convene to fight off the mothership itself. It's not like Spawning grounds where you can wind up with a bunch of stuff scattered back on the beach or going over the grates where it takes forever to reach and gather anything.

Yeah, I'd agree with that. In fact, I'd say it's the easiest with most of the events - with the exception of perhaps Goldie/glowflies during high tide. Grillers are pretty easy if you've got the person targeted basically swimming 'round and 'round the outside of the building, griller(s) chasing them and teammates either follow along behind you both to take them out or take potshots through the windows.

Goldie Rushes are extremely easy if everyone knows about the wall-hiding strategy. If they don't, it's a nightmare that usually requires everyone to use their specials.

Just gonna play the game on splatfests going forward unless at some point in the future start doing league. At the very least need that splat tee for farming abilities to be bothered. Given up on leaving A rank limbo hell lol and I hate turfwar matchmaking.

Griller's with greedy teammates or players who don't know what they're doing is really frustrating.

I haven't been doing any real work with the splatfest tee this time around and I wonder if anybody has been the same way with scrubbing it?

They're actually called abilities. Specials are the specials weapons (ink armor, baller, inkjet etc).

There isn't a best ability. It just depends on your playstyle and the weapon you're using. However things like ink main and swim speed up are universally useful. The best thing to do is just experiment with the different abilities and find what you like. Then worry about min maxing.

Ok, I will check this out

Just a heads up - this piece of gear is finally available with a main other than cold blooded (which is pretty useless in this game) so I highly recommend grabbing it while you can!

Bought it yesterday. :D

Just got my splatfest callie and marie, squideye black and another splatoon shirts (irl) from editmode.

But i have em tommorow cuz i need to pay extra import tax lol at the post office before i get the package and i don't have cash in house so the postman took it to the post office, Whatever tho will post some pics tommorow when that is handled.

It's not too bad tho i expected 70+ euro's tax cuz my country is pretty greedy on tax fronts (Netherlands) but it's 48 only.

Will get those white/black/red anchor shirts later cuz still not in stock + i need to budget a bit for the next few months:p

While not a hugely concentrated effort, I haven't taken it off since I got it aside from wearing a shirt for one round that someone wanted to order. I don't generally worry about farming for specific abilities, just throw on a semi-useful drink ticket for the exp boost while doing turf war things, and back out to scrub once it has two subs. I'm still kind of waiting to use most of my chunks for once I find out which weapon/gear sets I most want in the long run, so I'm mostly trying to generally stock up for now.

It hasn't been very obtrusive, just an extra little wrinkle for now.

They still fucked up and gave it the same brand as before, meaning if you don't spend drinks you just get a ton of Ink Resistance perk chunks.

I guess I'll work on it when I get the chance, but eh. Not really feeling it like I was before.

Got my 2nd triple.

You bastard. I tried to get that exact same jacket with those exactly same abilities and gave up on it because I kept getting stuff other than Ink Saver (Sub). I think it's sitting in my inventory now with like Special Up and Cold Blooded because fuck it apparently drinks and brands are completely useless.

Dang man that stinks :(
I'm having that issue when trying to farm for run speed chunks.

I know. Ninja Squid + a bunch of Ink Saver (Sub) is pretty much perfect for being a stupid asshole with the Octobrush.

I managed to snag some shoes from a guy in the lobby with Ink Saver (Sub) as the main ability, then two sub Ink Saver (Sub)s, so all is not lost. Didn't manage to get those perfect either, but I'm way too scared to scrub those and try again just for one sub ability, especially when they aren't even the brand that favors Ink Saver (Sub).

I mostly want to get a Ninja squid with swim up, as it's hard to play Ninja Squid without. I feel bonus is easier to have on shoes/headgear, especially since you can't use clothes for fests :/

Yeah those white sneakers I have gave me two swim speed ups naturally even though that brand wasn't biased towards them.

Those were the days, the wild west of splatoon. It was great being one of the only E-liters before they got popular.

OK, what does Run Speed up impact? I know it doesn't work with the speed at which you roll your roller (a damn shame), but I assume it works with how fast you move when fireing your guns, right?

I tried out the Dapple Dualies for a couple of matches just now, and I really like how mobile they are and how fast they kill dudes (seriously, they just delete people from the game if you land your shots), so I figure Run Speed Up would be good with them to make it so I'm even more mobile with them. I've got a bunch of Rockenburg gear with Run Speed and Swim Speed Up on them, so I should be good in terms of making myself move at Sonic the Hedgehog speeds.

Or are there other abilities I should focus on more? They don't seem to consume ink that fast, but what about buffing the Squid Beacon? I hear that buffing that lets you jump to it faster, but I never feel like I'm in that much of a rush.

Got my most insane victory in SR...

Midtime, only 2 eggs, I'm alone, with charger, Steel eels chasing me in house. I jump out of the windows, back in, and use the splashown to revive allies.

95s, 4eggs/10, alone again near the basket, I'm sure we lost, use the second special, plently of eggs and teammates and nearly no bosses anymore close.

We managed to grab 6 eggs in 4 seconds.

For once, I think I really did my job :)

I like having both if possible. This is my gotta go fast build. Gonna add one run speed to it.

Run speed up does affect movement when firing, though I always preferred swim speed with close range weapons but I hardly ever use close range weapons. So don't take my word on how useful run speed will be for the dapple dualies.

We did and yeah turf war. I should jump back to ranked. Just raging because he was level 50 (ticket exploit I'm sure) and had like 2-3 splats and like 300 points each time. I'm not saying I'm great at the game either but thats why I don't use chargers
