Well this certainly got a whole load of people talking didn't it, all I see on Twitter is people asking the YouTube/Twitch people for their thoughts on the whole thing.

The safest thing would be for them not to even say anything I think.

I take it there is still no response from PDP or even any comment from YouTube etc about all this?

I try my hardest to remove myself and the things i work on from these toxic behaviours and PDP comes around and fucks it all up.

I feel ya man. You keep doing what you do best and not let these vile people fuck it up for you. This has to be a collective response from everyone because slowly (depending if PDP doesn't drastically change his ways) this will escalate to a major problem where video games will turn to something disgusting that everyone will associate to.

Just look at all the stigma certain sports have when it comes to racist, violent hooliganism behaviour. Yes, not every football fan partakes in that behaviour but there's no denying that they haven't shaked off that image yet. At least football clubs ensure that they don't tolerate this by advocating No racism/violence whatever campaigns to ensure to the public masses that this is not what the sport is about.

So PDP's behaviour seems to have caught the attention of my other non-gaming friends and colleagues that now see the gaming culture/scene as a harbour for childish, sexist, closet racists. Now I know that not everyone in the industry behaves like this and a lot of fantastic work by hard working creators and developers have been put in make the video game industry a lucrative and successful environment. But when you got these "Famous Youtube Gamers" types waving the "I'm a gamer" flag spitting this vile stuff then it paints a really bad image. It was bad enough with Gamergate and the sexist remarks chucked around back then. All that hard work put into moulding video games into a media platform that's for everyone (all genders, ages, races, languages, nationalities) is slowly being chipped away by horrid, ignorant two faced (and to some extent childish) people like PDP, like Boogie, like Faze who are casting a dark storm on this industry. Gaming companies need to distance themselves from these guys. No more endorsements, no more invites to E3 or any other major video game expos, no more mentions. Make this a "Youtube" problem and not allow them to further defecate on the video game industry and culture.

And yet people question why one would make a deal about this.

Cos not a deal about this is basically saying you feel the likes of Mr. "Stuck in the Middle" Boogie is our representative of this hobby.

I think the problem is that people have kind of forgotten that a lot of these video game 'celebrities' aren't the smartest people, they're the kind of people who have done nothing with their lives but play games and spend time on the internet

Always found it odd how much stock people put into these youtubers. We still see it with h3h3, some still want to know what he's saying. Before people turned on him he was their fountain of knowledge or some kind of oracle.

Saw it with Palmer Luckey, you couldn't have a bad word said against him yet it was clear he was a liability early on, would get into knee jerk reactions. This idea of fuck the media, these people in their sweaty pits have it covered or are arbiters of truth is laughable.
