Gran Turismo Sport - Interlagos Circuit trailer

I think the whole Vision Gran Turismo thing is dumb. It feels like race car fanfiction.

I personally don't care for concept cars (I didn't in Driveclub), but I get it that some people do. It does however bother me that vision models can participate in races alongside GT3, GT4 or LMP1 cars.

Car video is nice, very clear. Well done

Doesn't bother me as long as they're balanced right - it's a game after all. I'm more concerned about fantasy tracks like that mess of a Tokyo highway lol.

Anyway, earlier slides showed Groups further divided into virtual and real cars. Can't see PD doing this for Sport mode, but maybe they could add it to lobbies.

EDIT: anything new/notable in that car list?

I hate all the fake cars in this game. I'm fine with concept cars once all the main real car staples have made it in.

"Over 150 Cars"

Yeah, you might want to remove that part from your trailer, Sony lol. That's pathetic in this day and age.

Would you rather 600 standard and premium or 150 super premium?

In the age of weekly DLC we can expect alot more surely?

Maybe something in between? Is it really that important to have cars with tiniest little details for the scapes and photo modes? Besides it's going to make introducing new cars a pain in the ass if they are to maintain similar quality. Also it's not really 150 if you count the duplicates (just like it's not 700 cars in Forza 7 ;)).

So which game should be more realistic? This or Forza? I'm really liking the look of this game, but something about the presentation is intimidating to someone who doesn't play these types of racers.

I would like, however, to pick one of these and try to get really good at them on hard settings!

The car and track list are disgusting as expected. Fake crap central.

Also no Lotus listed on the official list. Did they remove the Evora?

I pre-ordered just a couple hours ago after being on the fence if I should wait a bit before buying and then they release that great cars video, full car and track lists. I am pumped for the demo and the 17th!

Actually this game is basically a how to driving guide should be less intimidating.

Well there is this from the blog post today at least...

"different times of the day and through varied weather conditions"

The thing is this has already been shown, it shows a time, and some variation on 'Clear' and 'Cloudy'.
Precipitation hasn't been confirmed for launch but the presence of wet weather tyres implies it's planned for.

Great they mention the weather! I was getting worried a bit there. I also FULLY expect a sensational weather trailer is about to hit....And it will be the best thing since square wheels...

Clear and Cloudy would not be "varied" in anyone's book

I have zero faith on PD putting out consistent content updates. I would really like to be proven wrong.

Whether it happens remains to be seen, but Kaz has been pretty insistent that they're going to be aggressive with the DLC for both tracks and cars once the game launches. Most notably pointing out recently that they'll be adding a lot more cars that you associate with the series like traditional road cars.

Are these cars really different or lots of them are duplicates? For example, are these unique cars?
Lancer Evolution Final Edition - N300
Lancer Evolution Final Edition - Gr3
Lancer Evolution Final Edition - Gr4
Lancer Evolution Final Edition - Gr.B Rally
Lancer Evolution Final Edition - Gr.B Road Car

Or these?
Ferrari 458 Italia - N600
Ferrari 458 Italia GT3 - Gr3
Ferrari 458 Italia - Gr4

And these:
Peugeot RCZ Gr.3
Peugeot RCZ Gr.4
Peugeot RCZ Gr.B Rally Car
Peugeot RCZ GT Line
Peugeot RCZ Gr.3 Road Car

If they're duplicates, GTS have a little more than 100 unique cars.

Can't wait to see DAIHATSU COPEN RJ Vision Gran Turismo!

"different times of the day and through varied weather conditions"

It boggles my mind why information about Gran Turismo is always so hard to come by. It's less than 2 weeks from release, we should honestly know everything there is to know about the game by now.

Kind of reminds me of GT5 when it was delayed just 3 weeks before release. Everybody online was confused why we just didn't have much info on the game but it was within a month of release, so a delay wasn't even considered until we were hit over the head with it. When they finally announced a new release date at a later time, it was just 3 weeks past the original date.

The Gr3 and Gr4 are the so called racing (full & entry level) version, so at least the aero parts should be different I would think. And the interior should also be different, racing version usually are more barebones with added rollcages and stuff.

My thoughts on the cars, PD really nails the look and quality, but they really need to hire more modelers lol. I never thought I'd say I want more Nissans, but I want more Nissans XD

On the tracks, I guess it's good that there are still a number of new fantasy tracks, as PD tracks are usually great.
But still, I really want to see the PD classic tracks recreated in current gen hardware. SSR11, Deep Forest, Trial Mountain, Grand Valley, Tokyo R246, Seattle.. in addition to the still missing real world circuits such as Laguna Seca, de la Sarthe, Spa.. :\

I hope they're hard at work creating more cars and tracks and will be updating them for free :x
