If this is a passive aggressive whinge about NI getting banned ages ago then fuckin lol @ Yoshi
If you have a good laugh if it is, how ruthless would it be for me to say it is not? Laughing is good for your health afterall.

True but it's pathetic. This isn't the army
I would ban for neither, in isolation, but of course you can use e.g. smilie-only postings for spam. Spam can take other forms, as well, but smilie-only postings are spam most of the time. A reaction system like NeoGAF has it can of course help limiting this specific form of spam though.

That thread is fucked. After dog piling on milquetoast Greg Miller of all people and calling him the most outrageous shit ever for not strongly denouncing something they expect him to lick their balls and offer some sort of apology or he is a Nazi and always had a bit of that in him. I can't imagine being that self righteous over someone, not endorsing but simply not coming down hard on someone saying "its ok to be white".

Never apologize to these sad fucks or they expect you to slurp up their piss the next time they throw a tantrum. Greg already grovelled to the altar of puritanical justice warriors over a benign tweet made by someone else in the Colin incident and this is where it landed him.

Did he apologize?

I quickly drove by and I think I saw Greg's head on the ground drown in purple piss. Next to him NRS's entire team and Ed Boon were being fucked.

Got the fuck out of the hatred-filled hellhole immediately.

Did he apologize?

He has gone into the thread and said fuck nazis and stuff but it doesn't matter, the shame train is all aboard, guilty by association, insufficient hatred for the right. He's also guilty of joking about a woman who took naked photos in 2012. Perhaps if he was making pedo jokes like a real hero like James Gunn he would be ok but nope joking about a real woman who took real photos is verboten. bye

It just puzzles me why these people want every single person who covers mass media to be a dyed in the wool activist. Like this is just some fat white guy paid to talk about video games. Why not just let him be that?

Hard to feel sympathy for Greg Miller. He threw his best friend away in order to appease these people, and now they've turned on him. You reap what you sow.

Who? This story sounds interesting.
Colin Moriarty made a joke on Twitter awhile back about his girlfriend. She had gone out and he said something along the lines of "ah peace and quiet" during national women's day.

Your usual suspects were up in arms and calling for his head, but funny enough the women in Colin's life, the ones that mean the most to him, weren't offended in the slightest. He didn't apologize, so Greg Miller and the rest of Kinda Funny threw Colin under the bus and basically kicked him out.

Now you're not allowed to mention anything Colin Moriarty related on ResetEra as they refuse to be used as a platform to discuss his content.

Muggles

The YouTube life is a hard life.

If you haven't seen the real world yet. hehe

I was watching this guy named Keemstar who reports the news and went back to skim through a few videos uploaded the last two years, YouTube celebrities don't even know what walking across the street looks like half the time, they are all overly spoiled, surrounded by a bubble.

I've also seen many YouTube celebs, specially in gaming, break up over very silly things that normal people would just talk about and get over. No wonder very small things cause massive outrage with these people..

As for this thread, I've actually never gone to Resetera outside the first or second day it was up, the whole thing was pointless and apparently there was some in fighting about how the money would be split. They had the chat up before people even started accusing Evilore of not responding, it was the fastest I've seen anyone thrown under the bus online.

From what I understand, the Resetera it's basically what would happen if Buzzfeed had a forum. So I'm not interested.

Honestly never even heard of these people's names or Kind Funny, but sounds like a bunch of REEEE to me. It was clearly a joke toward his girlfriend and girlfriend only, the only ones related it to women are the people claiming to be defending women.

feel like if you decide to make a living and have it be a show that is just all about you, you might be a narcissist. the format at least attracts those kind of people, who inevitably find a following (cos it's like TV, you throw someone on TV enough times, they will get famous), and are of course overly dramatic and insecure and incessantly self-promoting.

but it's a bubble for real, and that bubble includes the fans. it is funny to see youtube celeb fans IRL, standing outside concerts or whatever, almost like seeing cult members. Warhol was right.

The Tanacon crap and Foussey Tube Concern/Bombscare shit is like another dimension to me. These people aren't even aware of their surroundings and are spoiled by their middle class or richer families and neighbors to where your parents will help you buy a ticket, to fly to Californian, to see random YouTube celebrity.

You see these people believing Drake is going to be at random YouTubers concert. which guy organized by renting out a stadium, "it's the happiest day of my life" this is all so bizarre. Being a YouTube celeb looks horrifying.

It also makes me wonder how much YouTube is paying these guys, many of them barely have 1 million subs and have 100K views per video on average, yet somehow they are causing all this ruckus, while some guys with 3 million subs are claiming YouTube is skimping them or that half their videos can't even be monetized.

For real?

This sounds petty as fuck.

Can you link the source because I would avoid anything related to Greg, not that I even pay attention to Colin.

Ed Boon would literally decapitate anyone from resetera within 10 yards of his house. Have you seen the new story today about NRS staff yelling at their contractors during Injustice 2? Thats some hardcore shit man, niggas were crying. Also keep in mind NRS are Chicago mofos...

Most of that was right, but some details were a little off. On national woman's day a few years ago, the hashtag "a day without women" was trending, and people were being encouraged to think about how bad things would be if all women everywhere did nothing on that day. The sensible way of looking at that would be "yeah, if 50 percent of everyone in the world refused to do anything all day, that would be pretty bad."

Colin made a joke on twitter that was basically "a day without women: ah, peace and quiet." His girlfriend didn't care, and likely gave the same eye-rolling chuckle than men give when people joke about the wife always being right or whatever.

Well to be fair, he did do something that would ether upset or alienate a lot of progressive liberals, and they demanded action. Kind of Funny distanced themselves from the comment immediately, but in doing so, none of them defended Colin as a person or as a friend. Clearly hurt by this, he was the one who chose to walk away.
