I mean all bs aside Sony first party devs always pass tht graphical benchmark amongst themselves. Their games usually look sublime between Naughty Dog, Sony Santamonica, Guerilla and Sucker punch, insomniac is also in tht convo. Ps3 had uncharted 2, killzone 2 and Gow 3 tht no one could touch graphically. Ps4 was no different.
The thing I love about their ecosystem is it seems there is friendly competition between the devs. When a game is released they all give congrats etc. but it is also a driving force it feels like where if they see a dev do something amazing then they want to sort of one up it by doing something just as amazing or improving upon what they saw.

Haven't you heard? 24fps is the new 30fps, it's even more cinematic!

I have a feeling certain people who constantly bark the loudest about this, are going to be super quiet (even giddy, already seeing it) about the "cinematic games" that will also coming out of a certain camp.

From Komachi today

Ariel = 13F9 = Navi 10 Lite (lite meaning non-discrete)

Ariel (13F9) is part of Gonzalo, Flute and Oberon.

Gonzalo codename matches Sony naming convention.

Ariel is GFX1000. Navi XT is GFX1010.

This does not mean Ariel is RDNA1 or without RT or VRS, but it does likely mean it was first chip. Hence the rumours about "AMD building Navi for Sony" might have come from.

For the end

Gonzalo FS score - 20K (~5700XT + AMD 2700X)
Flute benchmark (pulled from the site) - 16GB of RAM @ 528GB/s

Source plz for the "captured on a XSX part". Another than Digital Foundry of course.

The raw specs of the trailer file itself are intriguing. If you look at the metadata of the video - it is mastered at just 24 frames per second and the actual resolution of the rendered frame between the cinematic black bars is 3840x1608: so a little more than 74 per cent of a 'real' 4K in spatial resolution and at 80 per cent of 30fps. All together, that is 60 per cent of the amount of pixels pushed per second compared to 4K30 - and something that's decidedly easier to render than you may expect.

So you want me to give names to the people who told me that? Are you serious?

Didn't you say that you source at Epic said it was done on the PC and not XSX hardware a couple of days ago?

Not that it really matters, other than the how loose they use "captured" on'.

Yep. And that's why I said I was getting conflicting statements. Source at Epic wouldn't know the details like my other source. And evidently, DF concurs with my other source.. so ..

60% of 4K30. I was suggesting people calm down over speculating on RT performance on twitter due to the trailer, the industry is known for pulling fast ones on trailers, and the final game could be subject to change. Some people got a bit carried away, and further claimed industry sources, lol.

Console optimization are far beyond pc counterpart and as well know normally consoles (first party games) have the hard job to push game tech foward.

Lol 😂 😂 😂 oh lawddd is this dude serious? Talk about schilling.

not to mention I played part one and it was very repetitive and restricted even if it was doing all tht it doesn't really show what the system can do.

I can't say much about the this game because never played, but in the DF Alex show how much care they made on the main char, unlike the rest of the entire game.

How to know someone's "uncle from Nintendo" is a bullshit artist: He was claiming all this on the assumption that it was 4K60 in real time on the SX - it's 30% of that, at 60% of 4K30.

It may be ground breaking graphically, but "Dual Titans ain't shit" all based on a trailer and not a hint of caution, lol.

I bet the situation with VRS will be exactly the same as we saw with fake 4K in this generation - checkerboard, rendering, sparse rendering, temporar injection, temporal reconstruction, and so on - all different techniques, but similar concept and final result.

Hellblade 2 trailer was a "target render" running in real-time. So, we'll see how it will look when it launches

Oh sure. I think it'll look amazing.

The punchline though is the dude claiming industry sources saying it was running at 4K60 in real time on the SX, when it was running at 30% of that pixel pushing rate. Further, "Dual Titans ain't shit", lol.

Will Microsoft launch the new Xbox in Japan and Europe?
Seeing how this gen their late launch in EU was a bump in the already bumpy road for them, I hope for them that problem is fixed this time. Although JPN is not that big into console anymore, it still sells.. Although not that much. If they have some good JRPGS people will buy it.

so it sounds like the ps5 beats xsx when it comes to ssd speed and gpu.

will the ps5 also have more ram?

I for one don't trust it. Since Microsoft is noted to fix the price of their console higher. Microsoft is just developing a powerful console with no extra tricks. Sony is continuing the 400 dollar price well not a chance they outdo Microsoft. If they are a similar price range, the power will be about the same. Sony and Microsoft both receive their parts from AMD, so it is very tough to protect what they doing from each other!

The graphics were great in the first one and facial details, however the combat, levels, etc were very repetitive and limited.

It will be the Killzone 2 trailer of this generation. It was a cgi trailer with "in engine" tagged on the side. It doesnt matter for some, all they see is 12 teraflops and since there is no way to quantify that, anything Microsft showed could be true. If not for lockheart looming in the background id believe it myself. But some are convinced a gpu with 60 percent less power wont hold things back when designing next gen engines, right.

Klee just said Windows Central is the closest that any media has gotten to real SX.

EDIT: he just said "in other words, 2GB/s". So there it is.

KZ2 trailer was 100 % CGI bullshit/bullshot, not really comparable.

So I'm not an insider, obviously, but I had someone tell me that the PS5 SSD will have speeds of at least 4GB/s. That's pretty fast if true.

I wasn't told but I read it on one of these forums that it will be at least 2X faster than Xbox SX SSD. I'm pretty sure that's where the 4GB/s come from.

Anybody who thinks Sony would produce 600 dollar console and advertise it for 500 dollars it not residing in the real world. Neither of these enterprises has ever accepted profit hits to sell a console. What they do it is decide to scale down manufacturing costs to make profits. Sony is the market console leader so they absolutely need not worry about what MS is doing.
I suspect when Sony announces its console it is same power at 500 dollars or less power at a cheaper price?

The Series X sounds very powerful, PS5 being roughly the same as rumours suggest will lead to some amazing looking third party releases.

I'm currently playing AC Origins on 1X which already looks fantastic to me, I'm excited to see the next-gen Assassin's Creed.
