Tbf here in britbong land, a similar thing happened with my mate when he was watching it. Apparently someone said loudly " oh fucking hell" and everyone burst out laughing at the same scene.

That's how cinema is supposed to work. Sit silently and enjoy the movie in silence. Only times I've seen in my countly people reacting in a movie was during EndGame when Cap got the hammer and Return of the King after Theoden speech.

In most cinemas, if you don't like the movie, before 30 minutes you can walk out of the movie and they will give you free tikets for any other movie. You can do that silently and without yelling like crazy in a room where other people tries to enjoy a movie they paid for.

Sure TLJ could lead into an alternate EP9 where it is just nobody Rey killing Kylo, an invigorated Resistance beating TFO, and no need for another shadowy big bad.

Ep9 under RJ will be bland. At least Tros was power packed.
If you compared JJ and RJ Episodes, the energy level in JJ characters are way higher.
RJ characters portrayal were like going off some dead script. Besides RJ choice of acts in TLJ were no better - boring ass space chase, pointless casino plot, pointless rose, same plot holes banking on certain conditions to happen.
I guess you can say this is because RJ is a poor director, at least one who is not qualified to do those fancy schmancy meta-socio-political agenda what you can call thingies.

as a brit who goes to cinema, people often talk and make noise. but they don't clap usually for 'CHEWIE WE'RE HOME' or whatever. our screening of rise of skywalker was so empty me and my buds smoked a fat joint behind the screen before the film started. would love to have smoked it during the show.
i remember the food and drink trolleys served at pokemon the first movie in '99.
anyway, people are different. some yanks will be quiet and stonefaced. and some brits can be obnoxiously loud/drunk during a screening. its whatever.

for the record ive only been to a cinema once outside of UK, in Canada - and everyone was basically quiet.

She has to kill him striking him down while in anger or really hating him for the ritual to work. Rey just defended herself against the lightning and use the force to throw the lightning back to himself so no rage involved.

Yes it is, all the way through these movies every ship can use hyperspace, and you're given a nonsense one liner about the rebels being down to one hyperspace jump left (wtf) and despite not being in the same predicament, the FO fail to call in a fleet of Star Destroyers ahead of the rebels, or have some of the perusing Star Destroyers make a small jump and turn around ready to meet them.
If Rey knowing the exact location of the dreadnought, coming out of hyperspace, escape pod out, back into hyperspace, then HOW can the FO not do this during the persuit? That's a plot hole.
As is how the fuck did Rey get back onto the falcon for the battle of crait?

I'm American and I've never been in theater where people behave like this, especially for a big movie. Cheering and clapping, yes, but not people yelling out swear words and whatnot. The screen looks kind of small so this could be a private screening or it's just a rare case of idiot teens.
My showing was oddly silent in fact. Infinity War and Endgame people were cheering and gasping (esp at the end of Infinity War) but no laughing or cheers for Rise of Skywalker.

There is some kind of Sith creature native to the world called The Relic so it's likely them. They're the one's maintaining Palpatine and the clone tanks.
