Yes, I get that they're getting to the front of the line by being rich and/or famous.. but how is the social elite cluster so big? I saw one of the Bachelors also tested positive today.

Was there some huge 1%/Celebrity/Deep State/Epstein orgy where one of the slaves was infected?

Its part of the ploy to convince normies like us that this virus is real. They will all of course be cured. I mean 5 days after Tom Hanks said he had it he was tweeting he was out of the hospital. He couldn't even pretend for more than a week, probably had some hookers to bang.

With any treatment, you have to weigh the risk and benefits. There is insufficient evidence that Ibuprofen negatively impact patients with Covid-19. On one hand Ibuprofen inhibits anti bodies, but it also stops viral replication. You have to conduct trials to see which one is weighted more. It has worked on other Coronaviruses like the original Sars-Cov.

I'm not a Trump fan by any means but continuing to undermine an administration amidst a public health crisis is not productive and helps no one.

Maybe, but I was just venting.

Because from my point of view as an European who are ahead of you in the crisis (and obviously, I don't like Trump and I'm probably more "left" than most here, doesn't matter) I lurked in this thread and saw how some people applauded Trump for owning the reporter and saw other posts along the line "look at the panic that the media is spreading", which got me irritated. Like, who cares about this, Trumps job is not to make cool one-liners to own some reporter, his job is to run this country. If the USA fucks up and ends up in another financial crisis you're going to drag down the whole world with you economically, besides having massive healthcare problems inside the country. And remember that China has a head start to recover from this and they can extend their power (which is probably something that noone in the West wants).

To conclude, as I see it, America is going to have a massive problem because years of "don't trust the fake media" by Trump created hundreds of thousands of people who think "it's blown out of proportion" (at best) to "this is a hoax" (at worst), who are going to spread the virus to uncontainable numbers.

And furthermore (but that's something you have to tell me), American attitude to me seems like that "the government should stay the fuck out of my private life", which is going to be a problem when they need to impose bans like "stay at home" or "close your business", but that's a guess.

This is worrying considering most people who work in the industry are 30+. Especially doctors, because med school has become so expensive the amount of doctors in the U.S under 35 is incredibly low. Nearly 30% of doctors in the U.S are over 55 years old. 17% are over 66.

It's hard (by design) for the federal government to take sweeping meaningful actions that restrict the freedoms of its citizens. It doesn't matter who was president, we were never going to be able to tackle this disease like China did, and I have to say that doesn't particularly bother me. It just comes back to the safety/security vs. freedom argument.

Either way, I find it hard to believe that there was any significant number of people who decided to not take Coronavirus seriously and actively moved around to spread it as the direct result of any bullshit Trump said or tweeted.

Most of my family/friends are also on the front line of this and are echoing the same sentiment. One is a respiratory therapist. They had a young 40 year old come in very bad shape that needed to be put on a ventilator. After working with the patient yesterday, 5 of his coworkers are showing symptoms with a dry cough. This one person supposedly infected 14 people.

Under the new government CDC guidelines, even if healthcare workers have symptoms, they will be allowed to treat patients if they wear a face mask in places that are overrun with the Coronavirus-19. The US government is treating healthcare workers like soldiers.
