Do we still fight, melee and shoot zombies and clickers in this game?

Seriously... does the whole zombie apocalypse thing even come into play at all or did they just throw it out the window for this lame-ass plot?

Like, this all would have been fine as a sub-plot in a grander narrative, but this is the main story?

what i dont like new about this gameplay is what is not spoilers what devs shown before that stealth here becomes dynamic , means that you cannot stay hidden for long time as enemies will move around and find you,i mean thats not fair kinda. i love stealth and being in it i love it. and now they kinda said that game will be more faster pace, thats i dont like . its my choice , give me choice how to play still for me damn.
And leaks dont c ome from air , they where somewhere there made fro something , so devs now should just blame themselfs for leaks. many games dont have leaks at all if they want to . so its possible.

It honestly feels like they're pulling a The Walking Dead in this. "Zombies aren't the monsters here, human beings are." :pie_eyeroll::pie_eyeroll::pie_eyeroll:

Hopefully they really are still present, cause in TWD they at least still popped up to remind you they're still an issue. Albeit they were extremely watered down.

What difference does make your enjoyment of game if Ellie likes bit of pussy, and looks way she does and I totally disagree that she looks like a man she looks exactly like someone living in world that involves being extremely afletic and doing lot fighting etc. I mean would it be fine if wad guy she was seeing or do just want her single? I don't get it.
As a straight guy I really can't relate to any story that is female-centric, it just doesn't click for me and I immediately lose interest. It's like watching a Lifetime movie. If the girls in this game were hot lesbians and showed tits and bush I might be intrigued but that's about it.

Why let sexuality effect what you enjoy? The fact is we live in world where people can now do what ever they enjoy within confines of the law.

The way society is progressing would it really be relistic if every prognostic to be straight atrative woman ?

For me, it's got nothing to do with the sexuality, just that they chose to focus on such a small scale story compared to the first game. I mean, I'm sure there's room for a game that focuses on a love triangle amongst broken people and the kind of jealousy and rage that sparks, but why do that as a the follow up to The Last of Us? It just seems like such a massive step down.

What are the chances this is a controlled leak? I mean first the indefinite delay just one and a half months before launch, now a giant leak, could Sony be testing the waters here? Looking if the reaction will be as bad as the one they had themselves when they saw the final game?

A controlled leak that leaks pretty much the entire game, the biggest twists, and the end fight? I'm going to have to go with no on that one.

There are ways to gauge audience approval without leaking your entire game. That's what focus groups are for.

So am I the only one who remembered that Joel was a bad guy in the first game, and ended it by lying to Ellie?

What? How does that make him a bad guy? I mean, he's certainly not a good guy, but given the state of the world and his history in it, it's ridiculously reductive to just characterize him as a "bad guy."

Kind of the same reason if I play Madden or NHL and at the end of the game I get a cut scene of dudes towel whipping each other in the shower. Doesn't really fit the narrative of a sports game even though athletes goof around in the locker room going back to grade school.

A lesbian triangle with two lesbians and a straight guy plot line during a zombie apocalypse with angry thugs on every block doesn't sound like it fits either.

As much as I dislike TLOU, it at least had nuanced writing at points. The ending was the perfect example. Same goes for Bill. He was gay, but it wasn't blatantly said and screamed to the heavens every few seconds.

TLOU 2? No fucking nuance at all.

Is the game switching protagonists to Abby thing really true? Like, is there video/picture evidence?
Because if so, there's no wonder Straley quit - that sounds like an awful directorial decision that reeks of Druckmann.

TWD got that from Night of the Living Dead, actually. It's literally the oldest zombie trope.

Yeah, this story, the new characters, the conflict, it all sounds pretty meh to me. As much as I enjoyed the first one, I remember practically rolling my eyes at all the excessive praise it got like it was the best game ever made. It was good sure, maybe even great, but like THAT? Nah, at least not IMO.

So, from what I'm gathering, the story is going to be worse, and the gameplay could potentially be better. Ah yes, the backwards treatment, lmao.

Nothing about this is a need for me, I'll probably just watch the whole damn playthrough online and then buy Ghost of Tsushima instead.

Yeah, that's the biggest disappointment. It's that it's both "meh" and it's surprisingly sort of taints the original. The original didn't have an amazing plot either, but it was one that first of all made for a lot of character focus and it was serviceable (and didn't have to follow another predefined game background). You had a journey, there was a destination somewhere there, but what made it was the journey and not the end goal. A revenge plot doesn't really work well with that. The best that's usually done is the child/woman softening the typical male avenger throughout the journey. A bit tropey and boring, but it doesn't try to think it's more clever than it is and gives that space for characters to develop and evolve their relationships. But that depends on playing it straight plotwise, but letting the interpersonal drama define the journey.
Btw, where have you seen the gameplay being better? Everything I've seen points to marginal improvements, which has kinda been ND's MO in third person action-adventures. A lot of people are imo overstating how good TLoU was gameplay-wise, depending mostly on challenging themselves through higher difficulties in a simplistic gameplay loop. Of course, it was serviceable and it didn't get in the way of the story for most of the time, allowing you to choose different approaches depending on your limited means. But it wasn't a "hallelujah this is great gameplay" experience. In a sequel I definitely expect it to need a sort of distinct improvement.

I think the better option might be to wait for a PS5 version, if I decide on a PS5. I want to play it, even if it's a trainwreck, but I definitely don't need to experience it right away. And considering that TLoU got a PS4 remaster, I imagine this one'll come out on PS5, with various improvements.
Definitely getting Ghosts of Tsushima, unless it tanks.

That's not true at all I'm sorry but it's not normal I finished high school 2007 and if anyone tried anything like that in the showers they would have crap beaten out of them, and bullied out of school.

Definitely happened in my middle school in the late 90s.

Identitarianism & diversity is a rigged, biased game, i.e. one side claim they cannot identity with characters & enjoy a product unless they're personally represented (LGBT), whilst the other (straight white males) are called bigots, Nazis & shitlords if they prefer playing as someone of their own gender, sexual orientation & race.

That's just a fact. People can spin this however they wish, but that's one of the main reasons why there's so much resistance against the SJW agenda. Fuck the hypocrisy, basically.

I know... its just embarrassing.

Said it before going to say it again, its just a right-of-center version of a Resetera thread. Just as indefensible and utterly lacking in self-awareness.
No dude the left pushed too far with their blatant attempt at indoctrination. You can’t force your ideologies across all of our media/entertainment without any consequences.

It is unfortunate because ND is a very talented studio but you reap what you sow. Live your lives and let everyone else live theirs. SJWs should stop behaving in the same oppressive manner they are accusing “the right” “Christians” of. That’s all we are saying.

They should have just released it. They could have suckered a lot more people into buying it.

That was painful to watch that was like seeing raw footage of police breaking up a domestic abuse situation.
Makes sense since lesbians have high rates of domestic violence. I don't think any of them are that jacked though.

Well... saw the leaks and i will not buy this game. Was planning to wait and play it on PS5 but i think that i will not even play this game. There is nothing that i like. Maybe i will watch the cutscene on Youtube. Everything i have seen i dislike it and killed at the hype for me.

SJWs gonna wreck this.
All cis straight dude's love lesbians. Especially young in shape ones. The bed scene just reinforces that.
They used the stereotype that Asian men are betas, and that he was unable to sexually please the chick due to size of his member, so it turned her gay.
The use of a muscled Abby indicated masculinity, and that to win you need to be masculine.
There were no disabled hero's in the game.
