Specifically, you have 20 games on GP, 5-6 of them are fully fledged triple A's. Once you finish those games your kinda left cold, unless you love indies and platformers. And yes you could say that MS rotates the content, but because of the costs associated of putting "big" games on GP it doesnt do it that often to keep interest high.

So basically same as Netflix - once you're up to date with everything that interested you, all you can do is just wait for next month for their AAA blockbuster movie plus maybe some new series/episodes, so if someone sits on nothing but Netflix then it might be frustrating, but hey, there's also the cinema and television to fill up the time, and in the same way for games, there are all the 3rd party and indie games to play alongside Game Pass.

Ah yes, because when you barely have any time you buy each exclusive first party game day one, so you just have them in your library but no time to play them... When you have no time, Game Pass makes the most sense actually.
Dude i had gamepass for one year straight because i bought for maybe 10$. Never played anything from it. 99% is shit and 1% worth ive played already on its launch.

Im playing games on launch, and im only playing 80+ metacrit AAA titles, not touching anything below. Guess how much of that was xbox exclusives : 0.

PSN is down, it seems around the globe judging by reddit, wonder if there's something happening or if it's just a random thing.

I had errors in the Store earlier in the morning, but it's been working fine for me since.
I guess there's maintenance going on, issues may happen depending on where you are.

my games are locked currently, i thought it was something to do with restoring the licenses but it said psn is in maintenance

Yeah sure, you barely have time and play all games at launch that are 80+ on MC. But you barely have time ;)

1 hour daily is enough, to play most of that. I dont say i play all of them. In my backlog i have starwars, doom and tlou2 and got. It will keep me busy for half year after PS5 launch.

It's funny how much time and energy some people spend talking about GamePass, when every single thing they say clearly indicates they have absolutely no interest in subscribing. Imagine if we all spent an inordinate amount of time explaining everyone how bad a product we don't like is.

Thats why i dont subscribe netflix, hbo and amazon. 1% of their content isnt enough for me to pay for 100%

I think that's just a reaction to it being shoved down people's throats as if it were the second coming, rather than what it is - a good value option for some people.

Its not that its bad, far from it, the general concept is interesting and might be the future of gaming given how everything becomes subscription based. I just dont see how its going to have mass apeal and keep people hooked in its current state.

I really think that the Series X to be a beautiful piece of tech, I just hope they will have the content to match it.

So you agree that 99% of gamepass is something that most adult wont never play
I don't agree at all. This might not be a formula for you, but it is for other people. You keep projecting as if your experience and opinion must be the same for everyone else. And you keep going at it, in every GP related topic or discussion. We get it, it wasn't for you.

I dont play online nearly as much as I used too but if I remember from back in my online binging days late Tuesday and early Wednesday was always the time that maintenance was most common to occur

If I had to guess, he's probably referring to Sony. Their NDAs have been insanely tight this launch to the point where very close friends get noticeably uncomfortable, shut down, and don't say a word.
AMD and Sony has been very tight with leaks this time around.....Sooooooooooo tight? But it's good, everybody knows so much about Ampere and not as much on Navi2x, so the ability to surprise and deliver is greater. Sony is more interested in holding back valid information for the right time......When months even years ago people were saying, Sony isn't saying anything, they were doing the right thing, making games and getting next gen ready instead of talking how great their pipe game is.....Anytime you boast too much, you run the risk of under-delivering and alienating your prospects even more...

At this point, I'm just glad that there are still alot of things we don't know about PS5 yet, even some of the games they have planned for us.....Imagine if Sony spilled all their load in one PDF a year ago, what sense would that make, where would the excitement to launch be built from.....Oh Sony isn't saying anything they said, relax, Sony has been doing this successfully for four generations, I'd gander they know a thing or two....

edit: there now much better
He says this just like Donald Trump, same expression....A trump gif with "FUD" would be just as appropriate as him calling out CNN. The discord group and fud campaigners are the CNN's of the forum world....They plant deceit and lies everywhere, hoping that it propagates.....
Do you remember when PS5 was 13 TF :messenger_grinning_smiling:
I remember that it was planted by Dukeblueballs, a member of the famous FUD discord. Yet, it seems that 10.28TF with all that custom architecture is proving to be more of a David to the towering Phillistine....I've never seen more fud being spread about the little guy with a sling. The giant is boasting power, but he is not so confident of it, he even has to resort to saying that David is a 9 when the boy is a 10.....

Same here, I've had it since Gears, paid $2, never cancelled. The only game I played was Gears 5 and that was not even worth it imo. I felt that I would play the outer worlds, no, didn't really click and I had much better games in my backlog to finish or would just rather play on PS4. For some reason, even now, I never cancelled and have been giving MS $15 a month since Gears, but I'm not stoked to play anything on there. I probably would have played Halo Infinite, but it's delayed now. I thought I'd play the next Forza, but you know how that goes.....Even when I got the $2 ultimate pass, I said I would give Crackdown, SOT etc a shake, but why would I when there are much better exclusives elsewhere to play in my library on PS4.....My time in not infinite

The truth is, it really doesn't matter if you get things for free, if there is better elsewhere you will gravitate to it.....I'd rather spend 30 hours in a quality game I love playing with high production values as opposed to a lower production game just because it's lumped up with similar offerings on a sub, for $2 or even free...

The push for Gamepass has been insane, to the point where in "some" forums there are daily threads about it. Basically Xbox has become gamepass. So it makes sense that it will get talked about, since that's what MS and Xbox fans wanted all along.

Man, I have trouble finding time to play my backlog, and those are games chosen by me and are mine forever. What to say about a service with a monthly fee full of games someone else chose? That's why I have never come close to PS Now, and my only interest in Gamepass right now is whether I can use it on my Android TV so that I can subscribe for about 3 months and play the few 5-6 games that interest me there.

Well it was my comment that you quoted and it was in the context of being a fucking joke.

A joke rooted in the truth of a large number of GP subs being people who did $1 deals or $1 upgrades to gold. Get over yourself.

Don't be so sensitive. If a mistake made then I apologise. No need to get upset about it.

Sounds like he doesn't know for sure.

........

I hope they don't do this, but it seems like it is likely. This isn't what gamers really want, honestly.

I feel we're headed for another situation akin to TV, Sports, Watercolor.

It'll have some success, but not astronomical. With many developers seemingly reluctant to put AAA day and date on Gamepsss, I'm beginning to see why, if the rumors are true, they've taken those checks from Sony.

It actually doesn't make sense. When you have time, you want to play good games not 99% garbo fillers games. I don't see why anyone would play Battletoads, Bleeding Edge over TLOU2 or Ghost of Tsushima if you have the time and the option.

This is a forum and the current subject of discussion in this thread is Gamepass, of course people will say what they like about it and what not.

There's hype about Gamepass, so it makes sense it gets talked about. But the need to downplay something you clearly have no interest in makes no sense.

The multi-quote function is your friend. And of course, but the constant concern trolling gets tiresome. It's no different than those who spend days telling everyone why the PS5 SSD won't matter, even though they don't care about the PS5 at all.

We all remember your 13 (or was it 14?) TF, 32 GB memory fantasy.

Same with me and probably a lot of us here. Our backlogs are mostly games bought by us and we own them. Either we like the game or have an interest in it, we just don't have time to play them all. So it's odd for me when someones says "when you have time, Game Pass makes the most sense" . When you have time, you either play your backlog of games that you like and actually bought than go thru 99% filler games.

Exactly, he went from prising 12TF to prising GamePass. He's just going with tide of Phils PR bullshit like rest of Xbox fans.

There were none (literally 0) exclusives systemsellers in current generation of xbox.

Nexgent launch year, and probably another year is also empty.

So theyre trying to be happy and positive about what MS is serving them.

Thats not working for me, and shouldnt for any gamer.

I want to play games that are pushing our beloved media further than enything before. Thats why my soul belongs to SONY after this generation, and that was my first SONY console ever because Ive came from x360.

Im there, where gaming is revolutionary.
And making console with strong gpu is just evolution. Im more hyped about adaptive triggers than 18% in favour of GPU power.

PS5 is place where you will have:
-fastest loading machine available on market
- most advanced controller ever made in console
- first party games made by best studios in whole world, almost all of them GOTY contenders

What you won't have
- hundreads of indie games, and some AA/AAA tittles from MS studios of variable quality still 3 years away and some thirdparty AAA for cheap ( right now, but guess what - price only gonna went up with time)
- stronger GPU

Gamepass is like netflix - and i hate that crap. So many things but nothing to play/watch.

Game Pass is amazing value for most customers. If you always want to play new releases on Day1, it's probably not for you, but for the vast majority of casual gamers out there it's the best deal in gaming.
Game Pass has another tremendous advantage - play all MS 1st party games day 1, for free. And if they keep hoarding studios, that's no small feat.

Ah yes, the "we're all shills that can't think for ourselves" strategy. Followed up by pure fanboy statements

Dude youre like flag on the wind.
As someone who remember all your post, your narrative changes everytime something is going wrong in MS camp.
You were hyping Halo infinite, and even MS came to understanding that it was utter shit.

If Xbox would have anything worth playing on launch i would probably will buying both consoles. Because i care about games, not brand and services.

Xbox's new studio 'is working on a third-person Perfect Dark game - VGC

Microsoft's new studio The Initiative is working on a third-person game set in the Perfect Dark Universe.

That's according to journalist Jeff Grubb, who reportedly made the claim during a podcast chat on Tuesday.

What many people don't understand is that right now the optics are that Sony is out there launching "TENET" while MS is more interested in "Project Power".

Sure you can like the later, but people want to dream a little bigger that's all.

But to get back on topic, I think Gamepass has an identity crysis, MS doesnt know what it wants with it, from a gaming perspective it sounds good (get a lot of games for a monthly fee) but from, a business standpoint it doesnt make much sense.

Welcome!

For me Microsoft looks like they want to build a house and start with the roof first.
They seem to only think about Gamepass, that they forget the importance of selling the console hardware first.
In the end, if they sell tons of Xboxes and have decent games, the subscriptions will come automagicly.

But then they say "all our games are also available day 1 on PC, so if you have a gaming PC you are covered and do not need to buy the new XBox" or "for the next couple of years our games will also run on 'old' XBox One, so if you have one of those we have you covered".
This strange messaging will cost Xbox millions and millions of sold Xbox units, especially in the important first years. And without these customers on the xbox, where does Microsoft wants to get the subscribers from? From their rather weak Windows Store (compared to steam) or an Android app?

I don't understand, why respond to @thelastword's particular train of thought with a comment about his obviously being in error in the past about a couple of the PS5's specs?
Because GPU advantage is all they had with XOX, and all they will have with XSX.

They are playing floating point operations i guess.
