Well they did it with the PS5, its a loud big boy. Unless you luck out with a quiet fan, but the heat sink and fan are pretty small in PS4.
Ampere "Estimates".....
Done
Wasnt Zhuge the guy who predicted in the summer of 2013 Xbox One and PS4 would "launch in October or December", but turns out both systems launched in the middle of November?Zhuge claimed that Ampere was one of the most credible sources so I’ll take their word for it

It was either him or Shinobi.
Tip: you are going about this the wrong way, you dont even need to discredit Zhuge. you start by looking whether Zhuge has actually said that.Wasnt Zhuge the guy who predicted in the summer of 2013 Xbox One and PS4 would "launch in October or December", but turns out both systems launched in the middle of November?

Why does a company being over 7 year' old impact it's reliability? For you gamers trusting Ampere like some tried and true sales research company, the company was founded in 2014 or 2015 (depending which line you believe below). LOL.
I knew this place was noname.

I think it is because most people are not having the issue with the PS5. My XBSX is actually louder than my PS5 when I have a disc in each system. I know I have seen a lot of people say their Series X disc drive is quiet so I don't go around saying that my noise is the norm. If your PS5 is loud it sucks for you but most reports and reviews seem to indicate that you are the outlier and not the norm. What exactly am I lying about?
I apologize to the sensitive bunch that I said the PS5 is a loud big boy, if I knew it was going to cause this much butt hurt I would not of used such hurtful words...

No. I'm saying that if developers are already making low settings for PC, they'll re-use it for the Series S. Thus no extra work than already planned. You think high, medium and low presets just magically appear in the settings without developer input? That's all extra work compared to just making one preset.
This topic is about developers having to do extra.

I think you may have broken your PS5. Did you drop anything into the fans while you were upgrading your storage?
As already explained in the videos I posted, sony uses different fans which produce different noise levels.Compared to the ps4....the ps5 is pretty much silent. Sure I have a bit of coil whine but it's nothing compared to my ps4 or pro. I'm much happier with the ps5 over previous Sony consoles. Its the only reason I'll accept it being such a chunk! Lol

My pro was a jet engine, really bad.
I had a matte plastic PS4 revision which was quieter then launch PS4, my PS5 is about the same as that, just pretty standard fan noise, but in comparison to my XSX, its loud.
Nah it isn't loud. You're just imagining things.
Its loud compared to my XSX. So we will just have to agree to disagree on this one.
Louder but not loud is my thoughts on this one.
Does the PS5 noise level destroy the experience for me?
My answer would be no. I'm actually pretty happy with how quiet it is.
Yeah your right the PS5 is not loud by standard metrics (which have now changed, now that we have consoles which are barely audible), but now its just sad that I cant call the PS5 "a loud big boy" partly in jest without several posters not letting it stand.... Im mean talk about sensitive.

Basically, lol.
The biggest thing MS can do is release more exclusive games. Which should happen in 2023.And I'm just sitting here looking at how the past 2 month PS5 stock improved so much it helped the PS5 in the UK and the US, alot.
Aug NPD is gonna be yet another test to see if stock continues to improve.
All I will say if MS cant take advantage of:
Sony sitting out Jan - Mar of this year as far as stock
PS5 price increase
cheaper Series S with free games
I dont know what else MS can do...
So we have reached that part of the program where its time to discredit ppl that say something you dont like.
Interesting.
I would say I'm shocked....but I'm not.
Basically, lol.

I always knew xbox was at 15m at most. You guys are mixing up shipped numbers, which is probably over 15m but actual consoles sold is 14m-15m. These guys have access to actual data and are pretty accurate. Xbox fans really need to stop getting triggered at any mention of sales just because it isnt favourable to them. You gobble up pr but discredit actual data.
Unless MS starts releasing hardware numbers, unfortunately there is no actual data anyway.

But MS has taken advantage of all that lol. They closed the gap from last gen drastically, and that's without a consistent stream of big first party games. 2023 and beyond is when the gap will shrink even more drastically because of all the must have games coming to Xbox and Game Pass. And I'm just sitting here looking at how the past 2 month PS5 stock improved so much it helped the PS5 in the UK and the US, alot.

Yeah, I guess thats one way to look at it...lolBut MS has taken advantage of all that lol. The reality here is that Sony wasn't able to take advantage of Xbox's weak start to the gen, and it has allowed Xbox to get its shit together and create an insane lineup of games moving forward.
Again, this is all happening with Xbox releasing very few must have AAA exclusives over the past year.... Anything less than Sony keeping the momentum they had with the PS4 is not good, and you can be sure they're not happy about it. Xbox is already gaining market share in this weakened state, what happens next year when Xbox has a consistent flow of must have exclusives? Even the Game Pass line up next year is looking insane.Yeah, I guess thats one way to look at it...lol
In 2 months Sony basically wiped out any lead Xbox had in 2022.
I vaguely remember some ppl saying Xbox was leading in NA vs PS5. Thats clearly not the case anymore.
They took advantage of it...until Sony got things sorted out somewhat.
Zhuge claimed that Ampere was one of the most credible sources so I’ll take their word for it
Little has changed since the last round:
PS is on track to outsell Xbox in NA/UK for tenth straight year, the markets where 360 has a 25 million lead over PS3
In 2 months Sony basically wiped out any lead Xbox had in 2022.
Yet you think you can give us more accurate estimates than Ampere, isn’t that something?
This time will be even worse as Microsoft made 2 different consoles at 2 completely different price points

This makes no sense. There are probably easier ways to try and discredit them
First of all, Playstation began outselling Xbox in the US and UK in 2014. So that is 8 straight years.PS is on track to outsell Xbox in NA/UK for tenth straight year,
Receipts plz. How do you know any of this? Sounds like bullshit. They went with 36cus and a high clock rate because its cheaper then going with more cus. They could of gone with 44 active cus @1855mhz , it would of given similar performance but the chip would cost more, the bigger cooling system for the current PS5 is probably not much more expensive then a smaller one.
Ps5 is silent. So is xbox. Stop spreading bullshit.Lol, i brought it as a secondary thing when talking about console architectures, the derails were not caused by me.... But here you are trying to pin it on me.... typical.
How do you know its bullshit? Receipts please.Receipts plz. How do you know any of this? Sounds like bullshit.

Give facts and sources for your claims otherwise fuck off. Your replies are pure console warring dude. How do you know its bullshit? Receipts please.
Bigger chips are generally more expensive, on the same architecture.
