Have been gaming a lot longer than that and mostly my controllers get stick drift before anything![]()
I play videogames since 1991 and always used the standard shit.
I also dont get it how often your Controllers break…. I Play Daily and still have all my Launch Pads.
And surprise, they work like they did when I bought them
Trigger stops and extra paddles.

I happen to have two DS controllers with no drift. One came with the PS5 and the other I bought at the same time.I just want a DualSense with no drift for cheap. Why must this shit be so hard?
Same to me, all controller function during the whole lifetime of my consoles since the Atari 2600. I don't know what abuse people must put on their controllers to break them constantly.![]()

Wow, 6 damaged JoyCons? You are abusing them, it's your fault because my original pair still works.Same to me, all controller function during the whole lifetime of my consoles since the Atari 2600. I don't know what abuse people must put on their controllers to break them constantly.
The JoyCons are shit though, in total I bought 8 of them now for 1 switch, and 6 of them are drifting.
Yes I see what you did there, but you forget with your snarky comment that joycons actually did have a manufacturing defect during the first period of the switch console. And 6 joycons are like 3 full controllers (still way too much) . The newest I have bought is after they did some fixes and they actually seem to work well.Wow, 6 damaged JoyCons? See what I did there?
And most recent known controllers also use the exact same crappy alps potentiometers that can start drifting with minimal use. Maybe one in ten doesn't and you've been lucky, but it's a well documented issue affecting too many people.Yes I see what you did there, but you forget with your snarky comment that joycons actually did have a manufacturing defect during the first period of the switch console. It's absolutely true that it's a real issue and manufacturing defect I'd say, they did do some fixes though to make the problem less common. Still using the same sticks true which is unfortunate. And most recent known controllers also use the exact same crappy alps potentiometers that can start drifting with minimal use. Really hoping Sony lets some 3rd parties make the extra modules and someone hopefully does some Hall Effect replacements even though obviously thats adding more to the costAnd most recent known controllers also use the exact same crappy alps potentiometers that can start drifting with minimal use. Regular DualSense is just fine for me, I'm not a pro online electronic sports person.
I think the whole "pro" controller thing is a misnomer. Just about everyone who plays video games can benefit from having two or four extra buttons they can hit while still being able to have the full range of their movement. Using a paddle or back button accessory is almost a gateway drug, and once you've experienced it, it's hard to go back.
Playing a Mirror's Edge game on a controller will open you up to the world of "bumper jumper," and after you map your left shoulder button to the jump function, now you have one less easily accessible button, so you have to make a compromise with most games. And if you've ever found it hard to decide what functions to map to your shoulder buttons, "pro" controllers solve all of that and more. Once you're used to them, extra back buttons make everything feel more immediate and seamlessly smooth, from jumping and sliding to looting and dodging. It's rare that I play any game where the controls don't benefit from extra buttons.

It is quite addicting having those extra paddles on the back (wish this controller had 4) as I mainly use mine in shooters.Sure, I get that. But then I think maybe it's better to remain blissfully unaware, so I don't feel the need to spend all that extra money when the controller I already have works just fine.

Having the ability to reload or pull secondary or crouch all without having to move off the sticks has become secondary for me.
Not to mention the trigger stops that just require a tiny bump to fire guns makes single shot DMR style rifles fire extremely fast
Its not a need at all just like honestly the PS5 isn't a need or 4k TVs/monitors to play onLet me start by saying 'in my opinion' because some GAFers can't except other viewpoints.
Unless you are playing competitively for prize money or getting paid to play, I think it's an absolute waste of money and unnecessary to have a Pro controller. For a casual gamer, if you need to have back buttons to improve your gameplay etc. The problem is with you. There is nothing wrong with the design of the PS5 Controller and works perfectly fine for 99% of abled casual gamers. The prices charged are ludicrous, Sony are ripping people off and so are the third-party companies.
If you want to have a completely custom controller just to geek out well that's different again. By all means, burn your money!
Wut? PS5 doesn't need 4K TVs?Its not a need at all just like honestly the PS5 isn't a need or 4k TVs/monitors to play on
Do I want it because it does in fact make my games more enjoyable?
Absolutely
But I do 100% respect where you are coming from
Either way its something a lot of people have wanted for quite some time and if it makes my gaming more enjoyable and I can afford it who cares in the endWut? PS5 doesn't need 4K TVs?
Majority of console gamers game on a TV.. you can't buy 1080p TV's anymore. Have you tried playing 1080p games on a 4K TV? It looks like shit.
It is totally needed if you're gaming on current gen. Why buy a PS5 at all then? Let's just say that's not needed either.
It's totally not the same thing.
Lmao that took me by surprise lolWaiting for MadCatz offering.
And I get that. I'm sure there is an element of "ignorance is bliss" for some people, and there's a fair argument to be made there. I don't mean that in an insulting way, either. I can relate to that concept, as I've always felt the same about audio quality. I never wanted to pay too much for audio equipment, because I don't want to feel like I'm missing out on quality when I'm not using something really expensive.Sure, I get that. But then I think maybe it's better to remain blissfully unaware, so I don't feel the need to spend all that extra money when the controller I already have works just fine.
Welp, Amazon finally saying delayed to the first of January. I wonder why they keep delaying it. Victrix not saying shit but steady promoting it. Shit been in reviewers hands for a month now.Amazon. It hasn't changed yet for me but I wouldn't be surprised at this point if it did later today. I'm just now seeing some of the comments on twitter and didn't know about the change on Best Buy. I think we've already reached the point where this is getting a little weird lol.
Seriously, This controller looks to be the real deal.Right now, my eyes are dead set on the Victrix Pro BFG as it looks like it covers my fighting game needs turning the controller into a fight pad plus it's modular so im now allowed to play shooters with asymmetrical thumbsticks. The only thing im waiting on now are reviews and hoping it's the real deal Holyfield.
It's not that they're just not as good, the haptics are non-existent. There's no vibration or adaptive triggers of any kind. If you feel the need for those features, either you'll need to go with two paddles on the official pro controller, or you'll have to go with a modded controller instead. There's a lot of companies doing modded PS5 controllers now, so you should have a fair amount of options.I wanted the vitrix but I heard the haptics aren't as good as even the dual sense. So imma hold off
