Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
Who is Oxide games? I'm not familiar...and Ara? Also not familiar.
It's a 4X game, Oxide are fairly new, mostly do engine work, they only have one of their own game, Ashes of Singularity.

I'm starting to think PS fanboys would prefer MS go 3rd party than shut down. Otherwise who's going to make games for PS?
So it is, still is 3 years really enough to make the franchise exciting again instead of the same thing in a different setting? Hopefully it is.This fall FH5 will be THREE years old, not two.
At least it's looking good though, brave character models.Fable is a new team. half the reason its taking so long.
Nah. Xbox and Steam would be fine.So it's not free gamepass shovelware?
If they want to sell multiple millions then they need. To release it multiplat.
Subjective but Two was better than the first, IMO.
The third was a victim of Bethesda shoehorning forced co-op experiences in games at that time, something other games like Far Cry: New Dawn also suffered, it was also a spin-off project, not a proper sequel.
Would love to see S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 showing up as well, but hell yeah Indiana Jones incoming is pretty exciting already!
There better be an indiana jones (uncharted 2 / lost legacy) train sequence.

And then you go on to troll many many times after this post in the same thread without any repercussions.Xbox is on brink of collapse so whatever they talk about is never coming out
Well, we know for sure there will be snakes.
To be fair you could say that about a lot of users on here. Just go with the flow man.And then you go on to troll many many times after this post in the same thread without any repercussions.
What is your secret ??
I love all the 'i'll flip my lid if this is first person' posts when everyone knows its being made by Machine Games, fps specialists.
Having said that, i feel this will probably be an Uncharted style game, and will def be third person, or atleast playable in first or third person (remember when games used to do that?).
So it's not free gamepass shovelware?

I hope MachineGames nails Indiana Jones. Xbox could use an "Uncharted" like action/adventure game.
This is footage from the cancelled Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings that was aimed at PS3/Xbox 360:
That looked pretty impressive for the time.
Makes me excited for what a possible Indiana Jones action game could play/look like.

So, where are PlayStation ports of all those games?
I'm confused
If you pre-empt a shadow drop, it's not a shadow drop. Sort of defeats the purpose. They didn't preempt a shadow drop last year either, they only talked about a mystery 5th game in the actual Direct's opening.
I don't know what Ara is and not familiar with the devs so I don't know if I'll like it. Indy, Avowed and Hellblade I'm really looking forward so please no Redfalls in those 3 games. It would be awesome if S.T.A.L.K.E.R. actually releases in 2024 too.

Halloween: Project Mara.Spring: Hellblade 2
Fall: Avowed
Holiday: Indiana Jones

This ain't the movie, yo! It's the game. Two different media types.Does anyone out there younger then like 35-40 care for an Indy game? I mean the last good movie was "The Last Crusade" which will be 35 years since release sometime this year.
Also, considering current trends and the last couple of movies it could be just terrible, heavily laden with "messaging" Sweet Baby Inc style (are they involved?).
Shocker! This ain't the movie, yo! It's the game. Two different media types.
Hence my question on who exactly is this Xbox/PC exclusive targeting. Because most of built in audience is going to be in 40s and up.
Bro. The IP still has enough value to warrant a different target audience/demographic with different media. Some didn't like the film. Maybe they'd play the game. It's a different scenario almost entirely. Only similarities is the character. A lot can change with the game.Shocker!
The issue is that movies and games based on certain license hope to take advantage of built in audience. See Spider-Man as an example or Batman games.
Now, the game still has to be good but if the additional audience isn't there it's silly to pay licensing costs.

After all the dev controversy and any lack of info for a hot minute, the last night will prob never see a release. Too bad since that was one of the most wanted xbox exclusives since that trailer was released.Looking forward to seeing some info on the Indiana Jones game.
Still waiting on The Last Night and more Everwild news.

Not that it would make any difference whatsoever.I'm starting to think PS fanboys would prefer MS go 3rd party than shut down. Otherwise who's going to make games for PS?
I feel like it needs to be uncharted/tomb raider.Really nervous on how they handle Indiana Jones.
Thats a good call, Deadfall was given away with Gold around 2020.. I played it for a bit and its a decent game concept, might fit with Indy.Correction, they also made Enclave and it was a 3rd person game.
I mean, it could be similar to this -if they'll decide to make it 1st person, but I just don't think it's the way to go.
I feel like it needs to be uncharted/tomb raider.
That's exactly why I think that, whatever they do, it will be disappointing. It needs to be anything but Uncharted / Tomb Raider.
I was taken aback when they announced that it was MachineGames doing this and rumors started that this might be first-person (this has not been confirmed, correct?), but the more I think of it, the more I am intrigued to see what the developer is doing with it and how it's different from the games in its wheelhouse. An Indy that just follows the template of franchises which ripped off Indy would be a little disappointing IMO.
Grab the snake! Why'd it have to be snakes ...
There was OG xbox era Indy game like that. I hope they do something new with it tbh.I feel like it needs to be uncharted/tomb raider.
Yup. They are keeping it secret since 2014...Well, they are keeping it a secret for as long as possible, it will be the last thing they do before shutting down the operation.
