Shattered space was the biggest surprise for me of their announcements. It looks leagues better than plain starfield. I just hope that wasn't all marketing magic.

That's where I'm at. It DOES mention photo opportunities for Gamescom, but there's nothing that doesn't say there will be a new demo reel or footage. Also, with Quakecon hitting us before then, I can only hope we'll get an eye full of content the next couple of weeks. Fingers crossed at least!

I'm tempted to go to Quakecon again, lol. It was always a dream of mine to go, and about 4 1/2 years ago I decided to go spontaneously. My job at the time was remote, and I just drove out there in the morning and hung out for the entire day and came back late that night. The main reason I did it was because I won a contest via the DOOM site to partake in an after party. I'd love to go out there for an entire weekend, but it never lines up right it seems.

I've been to it once during the "golden age" of Quake 3 and it was 100% worth the sacrifice of being in Texas during peak summer..

Looking at the schedule for this year tho it looks rather week in terms of competition, all I see is a 2v2 quake live tournament and that's is all..

As a Texan native, I can totally agree that it's worth it for the LAN alone. Or hell, just to see it and experience it all. Full blown bias on my end, but I do have homies that have gone from all over, even the colder regions, and had a great time. For the record, Dallas/Fort Worth doesn't get THAT bad compared to other major cities.

Yeah, that COULD change, hopefully it does. Personally I can't help but feel like Quakecon has softened each year after id's acquisition.

The only thing I'm SUPER interested in is Replaced. It seems like it won't be here.

The only other thing I'm mildly interested in at this point is Towerborne. Looking forward to seeing more of it. Hopefully it won't disappoint like almost every other XGS title.

Whats the difference between hands on experience and practical experience? you can play hands on and only watch a pre recorded video for practical or something? Been waiting forever for replaced and practical sounds like i'll be waiting into 2025. Ah well shit happens, go sooth the sorrows with some music.

Epic fail. I've known since February that everything is going multiplatform so I don't personally care about Indiana Jones going to PS. If anything, I'm not sure why it's not day 1 at this point.

What I said back then is that multiplatform games is fine for everyone but the Xbox consumer, because it's obviously going to further solidify the death of their system, which means less games coming over. Xbox is quite literally the worst place to play their games now, and will be even more true when PS5 Pro launches. Not even GP is better on Xbox, missing games and almost 50% more expensive.

So my only request since February has been to explain with specific concrete things what they are going to actually do for the Xbox consumer, and the answer is fuck all. They had the chance to lead with an explanation of the state of their forward compatibility efforts, or more details about multi-store plans for future systems but haven't said a thing. Personally, as long as they explain what is going to happen to the library Xbox consumers have built up, and explain how they are going to get access to multiple stores since their system is going to die, then fine. Put games anywhere because I don't care. But they didn't do that at all. When asked about it, he just says more is coming (which everyone should have already known) and talks player stats which is just a trash response.

If you look at my meager wish list for Gamescom at the top of this thread I was hoping for release dates for Towerborne, Replaced, and Shattered Space. Instead we found out Toweborne is a f2p abomination launching on PC 1st with no release date for Xbox listed. Replaced delayed as well as Avowed. And so all we got is a DLC release date.

Fucking F for Xbox at Gamescom. Did fuck all for Xbox consumer. Totally shitting the bed on 2025, and failing to answer obviously important questions.
