Careless Whisper has the best intro / lead-in to any song, ever.

Fact.

Please post some worthy second or third place options.

It's an intro that should be played at all times and in all situations:

The security guards can't stop the sounds from the 'sexiphone'.

My vote for second is 'Roundabout' by 'Yes' made relevant again by 'Jojo's Bizarre Adventure':

The baseline is awesome.

My vote for third is 'Eye in the Sky' by the 'Alan Parson's Project':

Anybody in the 90's who watched Jordan on the Chicago Bulls knew that intro…how many people new the rest of it…probably not many 🤪

Edit: whoops it was 'Sirius' which then segways into 'Eye in the Sky':

One of my all time favorite songs.
(Bluetooth audio doesn't do this song justice imo)

This intro is beautiful. It's like something starting alone, then meeting something new and combining with that something to become stronger, then the song kicks in and it's an absolute banger. My god, I feel blessed to even get to hear a song like this. 🙏🙏🙏

Edit:

0:55 hits like:

Oh, OP (and the rest of you) how sad that you are all so very, very wrong.

And just for shits and giggles, here's one of the dumbest intros ever:

Nice Taz impression there Jonathan, you kilt wearing knob.

Some good ones in here so far. I'll just throw in a couple from Dream Theater and try to stop myself from delving all the way into prog rock dorkdom referencing endless 30 minute songs and concept album intros.
