Ok. Then...

Is this a joke?

You can literally see that it's 60fps with fluctuations, it's unstable.

It's crazy you can't see that....but are in every PS5 Pro thread talking about the technical aspects of games and what the PS5 Pro can and can't do.

it obviously not 60fps lock, but thats definitely performance mode and way above 40fps -50fps . (yes i have a pair of good eyes)

I'm sorry but those videos are awful. If you can count frames on them with your eyes then good for you I guess.

I usually bring some measured data to Pro threads while you posted this shitty video and:

Is this thread cope due to this other thread?

The other thread was fake news.

From the developer yesterday

What benefits will you get from playing this game on PS5 Pro?

To be honest, we are still in the process of verifying compatibility with PS5 Pro, so we can't say anything definite. We will announce it when we have something to tell you, so please keep us updated.

The thread information that youre referring to came from a Reddit post.

considering what you posted doesn't really contradict whats in that thread, i'll take that as a "yes"

yes this is likely closest to the latest build hence the newer icons and better performance compared to the gamescom build that was a slice taken from a much older build and much worse performance and missing textures etc.

Let me get this straight.

1. A Reddit post says it's unstable 30fps

2. The developer states they have nothing to announce

3. They show a demo of it running at 60fps on PS5 last night.

And this the conclusion you came to? Lol.

I suppose unstable 60 is better than unstable 30.

I'd have 100% agreed with this but...I'm playing Space Marine 2 on the PS5 right now man and let me tell you, the constant drops to 30-ish fps bring the whole experience down...

I'm all for unlocked fps but, it has to hover above the 50+ mark for it to feel enjoyable/playable.

As a sidenote, MH World, even on the PS4 Pro wasn't that good of an experience due to the constant stuttering and fps drops.

Cheers

ITT: "30fps is unplayable, 60fps is very important. Also I can't tell when something is running at 60fps when it's shown to me I need a displayed number"

If you can't tell what framerate it is from this video without that number then clearly it isn't that important to you.

>A guy on bilibili says it ran at unstable 30 fps on ps5 when he tested it
>Developer says they didn't test compatibility with the ps5 pro
>Besides these, all you brought to the table was a video with no frame counter nor information if the demo they're playing is or isn't using any form of frame generation

Honestly i see this more of a reason to piss on the RE engine rather than a 'slight' against the ps5 or the pro, but warriors will war i guess.

>A guy on bilibili says it ran at unstable 30 fps on ps5 when he tested it
This is a completely different build than what he played on the TGS floor. The older gamescom build which was taken from an early slice of the game w/ much worse framerate and missing textures is what has been avail at all the recent shows. Gamesom, Pax, Twitchcon and now TGS.

Wait shouldn't everyone be happy it's not 25 fps like we previously thought it would be?
I agree, but it seems most people don't see it this way. Unstable 30 would usually mean drops in the 20s which is quite bad. While a 40-60 experience is by no means great, I'd say it's far more playable and if that's the base machine then the pro has a decent chance of being 60. Let's wait and see how things look closer to release, there's still quite a bit of time left for polish.

I can't take this seriously anymore.

The demo is running at 60fps on PS5, they literally say that its on PS5....and you can see with you're own eyes that it's running at 60fps.

Does it drop below 48fps. If so, it's a dud. Well maybe Capcom will implement LFC. One would hope.

this guy does a good job explaining for doubters about improved performance: time stamp 1hr 13m 55s

all i saw was a stuttery mess, but if you're happy with what you saw good for you i guess.

Kinda hard to make that declarative statement. The second video, especially, seems to have a lot of hitches.

Looks and feels very similar to Dragon's Dogma 2 in terms of performance.

It's most likely unlocked frame rate and will be high in sparse areas.

It definitely has drops but is way above 30. Guessing it's using frame generation?

I see one of three possibilities:
  • Frame generation
  • It has a 30 FPS and 60 FPS mode. The previous info was wrong.
  • It does not have a performance mode and only has an uncapped mode. But the game itself is mostly running at 50+ FPS (at least in this particular area), which is what we're seeing, thinking this is a 60 FPS mode with drops.
