You know shit is ridiculous when Eurogamer gives it a 5/5, IGN gives it a 9 but Matt doesn't like it and Shillup doesn't recommend it. Like straight up advises against playing the game.

Excellent.

This thread is a shitshow. Im out. lmao

I dont mind linear RPGs. Mass Effect 2 was very linear and its my favorite RPG of all time. I think the open world nature of Dragon Age Inquisition, Witcher 3, Cyberpunk and Mass Effect Andromeda just made them way too unfocused. Let me role play instead of go in a ubisoft style sandbox for 100 hours.

meta has dropped a few points with more reviews added, probably gonna settle at high 70's or an even 80, 81 with 60~ reviews by the end.

Yeah you described me, the difference is i can get past it and play the damn game

And none us are telling you to do otherwise. Enjoy sir/madam. It's when you wanna tell us, your fellow adults what we should be doing, or what we should look past. That's when we got a problem.

Eurogamer gave this a 5/5...

The same Eurogamer that refused to review Hogwarts Legacy.
this is Starfield all over again, they just gave review codes to a few select ppl that was already positive about the game to inflate game score, we ll need to wait a week after launch to have a more "real view" of the score.

Reviews look good and thats good, but I will still wait for user impressions here. Hopefully they are good too.

im not saying you need to play it. I share the same core beliefs as all of you thats why im here and not ERA, But as you guys dont want it in your games, why do we have to have it on the forums constantly?

Wait a second, IGN actually asked someone called Leana Hafer, a non binary staffer to review...

"as a non-binary person myself, Veilguard includes some of the most authentic representation of coming to terms with gender stuff"

Something tells me the 9/10 is more than a little suspect.
I will put good money down that this ends up being the most overinflated game in modern review history.

It's a shit, boring rpg with tired mechanics that is being boosted by purple haired land whales.

That didn't happen at all for Starfield. Maybe you should write your own fantasy RPG.

Yet they couldn't have the Dragon ball fan to reviews sparking zero…

Skill Up didn't like it, but as per usual you'll need to carve out half a day to watch the review.

Im skimming through it and hes main complaint is that its too "safe", his words are "as if HR is in the room with the characters in the game when they say things". This is sadly the way things are with all AAA games...Ragnarok and Spider-man 2 had the exact same issue. Fuck sake. Will still play it day one tho.

There's something about this game that almost makes me vomit. The hud, lighting, art style, characters. I rarely get that "I'm fucking good" feeling of wanting to play a sp game, and that's how I feel with this DA.

Eurogamer would have given it a 5 if they never played a minute of it. No surprise there.

What was that one game that released earlier this year where the reviewer spent basically the entire review whining about politics or whatever and barely even wrote about the game?

I have found 0 reason to not trust Fextralife. Their experience is more than likely the reality of the situation. It's an industry filled with shills and corporate tools.

Excuse me, excuse me, excuse me, am I late? Are people being burned alive or hanged yet? This is going to be a fascinating evening.
Here we need to guess more not what the press will rate (considering that they sent out reviews to everyone, and only to a select few), but how big the gap will be in the ratings of players and critics.

Did ACG get a code? I respect his opinion.

Yes, this! I quite often find myself agreeing with him on a lot of stuff in reviews. I appreciate a source like XboxEra too, but I definitely don't always agree with some very high praise they give to some games. But that's fine.

EA being very dirty here...

I watched half of that video before it started to sound entitlement and resentment over not getting a code. "We didn't get a code so don't trust anybody else's review" is crazy mentality.

All publishers send codes at their own discretion. It has always been that way. There are already "negative" reviews popping up in this thread.

Not defending EA or the game here, I'm not even sure if I'm going to get it yet, but it would have been better for Fextra to just say they didn't receive a code when people asked for a review.
