Thanks for making NeoGAF a great video game community

Best gaming site easily. I have no idea that this site was this old to the point where the legend Todd Howard also posted here. Morrowind was actually my first Western RPG and became one of my favorite games of all times. Started looking for a alternative from Gamefaqs after years of watching it go downward to the Era level. Glad I found this, as the saying goes better late then never.

The most happiest thing about it that gamers set up their differences and console war bullshit to unite against those social and gender idiocity. In the end we just want have fun with games, not being lecture or having people saying its wrong to like their games while being name called the usual social offences(bigot, phobes, etc).

Neogaf gives me my daily dose of laughter. Some of the funniest stuff are the perm bans, when it gets as cheesy as oblivion NPC dialogue.

Been a longtime lurker since the PS360Wii days but I finally became a member last August and it's been a lot of fun. I enjoy it here. Lots of smart folks and some great debaters along with some laughs. Cheers everyone 🥂
 
I've been here over 20 years (counting time this place was a forum for the gaming age site). Here almost every day even tho I don't post much. But I don't know what I do without this place.
 
This place is the closest thing we have to the good old days of the web, back when people would just say whatever the hell they wanted without self-censoring or worrying about getting canceled.
 
I'm glad i can be here as well. Been knowing NeoGAF since eons ago, but encourage myself to join recently. Here and Gematsu, are the only game site i trust and visit these days. Thank You so much!
 
As someone who's been playing video games since 1982, and screwing around on the internet since '94, I've seen quite a few video game BBS/forums in my day. Most of them die eventually because of shitty moderators who don't do their job properly. NeoGAF, from what I've seen, tends to have good moderators. And EviLore is smart enough to allow free speech (within reason), without going all gestapo when less experienced admins would. I think that's a big reason why NeoGAF has survived this long. The admin and mods actually know what they're doing. So congrats to the folks running the show. Also appreciate EviLore being smart enough not to migrate this forum to a stupid Discord. And that's all the ass licking I can muster.

I'm happy to see the forum is doing well :)

I visit this place every single day (except that time I locked myself out for a year haha) and this is the only place that I actively post online now. Don't have FB, IG, TikTok, etc. I do have a Reddit but just read shit and lurk. I did visit other (non gaming) forums but don't bother with them anymore.

Thanks for creating this place and your hard work keeping it running. Also thanks to the others who help you like mods and anyone behind the scenes. Hopefully this forum is around for many years yet :)

EviLore EviLore I want to take this opportunity to ask you to recognise John Marston John Marston and how much GAF Gold he has given out. I think I speak on behalf of many others in saying he should get some kind of special award. Maybe something like a custom name colour or a badge/icon beside his name.

I would also like to shout out OverHeat OverHeat because he also is very generous in giving gold and he gave me a year of it :)

Another thing I'd like to bring up is what do you think about the idea of a "NeoGAF Diamond" tier of subscription? I think many of us would be more than happy to pay extra to help support the site. Could be priced about $10/month and benefits would be a different coloured name (white/silver?) and "Diamond Member" tag. Actually maybe Diamond Members could make/request a custom tag? I don't know… just a thought.

He has expressed a number of times that he doesn't like being singled out so I have respected his wishes. He is certainly appreciated.
 
Gotta be honest. I don't know if I feel comfortable with that many people seeing my posts. I post a lot of dumb shit on here.

But, I'm allowed to post that dumb shit, which makes me appreciate GAF that much more.

Fun fact Neogaf is not banned in at least the one mental institution I recently spent a week in unlike big social media platforms. 😂🤪😜
 
Next September will mark my 18th year.
And despite it's ups and downs, I'm happy to call this a place I call home.
But one thing will never change..
