Someone who just wants to play the game for exploration, story, RPG decisions etc.

I love playing the recent atlus RPG's on their lowest difficulties cause I don't want the dungeon crawling part to become a choke point for me.

Eventually there'll be an autoplay mode so you can experience games like this in the same way you experience a streaming series. In the end, everything becomes everything and everything is for everyone.

Should have added a universal speed up toggle ala FFXII, any help to get through the boring ass shimmying and slow moving segments would be great.

Those segments have to be used for loading or something, right? I refuse to believe the devs added those in because it's cool looking or fun

I imagine they were for loading on the PS4, but streaming speeds shouldn't be an issue on PS5.

Glad this (the head start) is a post release QoL update and that it isn't added to Rebirth.

Otherwise implications for game design/game systems going forward do not bode well imo.

I don't think that's it. When Part 3 comes out, this might be kind of a nice addition to have if you want to replay the first two parts, but not spending 100+ hours doing it.

Now if Part 3 comes with this feature from the start, then I'll agree with you.

Oh yeah I don't expect them to make any game changes this far beyond, but a speed up toggle would be great. Definitely help a long ways to make me want to replay the game again, if ever.

What is even the point? If your hobby is playing video games, then just... play the video game? This is the most bizarre thing I have seen in gaming yet. Even the golden leaf in Mario 3D World could be rationalized.

For those who intend to use it, yes I imagine it probably is fun.

But it's optional, so those who don't find it fun, don't have to partake.

I started replaying Remake on the Pro and the extra game boost is keeping the performance mode at the upper bounds of the DRS, that's for sure. For my eyes, it looks like it runs at or very near 4K at all times.

It's a story mode. Instead of comparing it to model cars, compare it to people who listen to podcasts or watch TV at 2x speed to get through stuff faster.

If it's not for you, don't play it that way, it's optional. Don't be weird and shit on how other people play games. Think of it as a way for Square Enix to maximize the potential customer base for Part 3.
