Do you smoke weed?

Why does it fucking stink so much?

Visited New York recently, it's legalised & Times Square fucking stank, i hated it. Loved NYC (apart from Times Sqaure) due to the smell.

Before my visit to NYC i was for legaising weed in my country, however after smelling it out in public, i am so against legalising it now.

I vape maybe 1-2x per month (it's legal where I live). Mainly just to have sexy time with the wife then have a snack and watch something funny or play a game.

IDK about others but I don't really feel the urge to do it more often. Usually I wake up the next day like "that was fun but I'm good for a while".

I got cancer quite young.

I'm fine now but I find this experience to be a good motivator to not start smoking.

Wonderful to hear about you getting better from your Cancer but the medical benefits from Marijuana are not to be overlooked. There are many forms of utilization and implementation for all sorts of afflictions and needs. My Brother passed away in my arms from HIV/AIDS some years ago and Marijuana was the ONLY thing that would get him to be able to eat and hold down food to fight as best as he could. Additionally it helped him deal/cope with the knowledge of what was inevitable. I cannot stress how important MJ is to those who actually understand its benefits.

I ended my streak of probably 12 months around last week. One of my friend got the good stuff from somewhere.
I forgot how much anxiety Weed triggers in me. I couldn't even watch a tense scene in a movie.

Does anyone else prefer to smoke Weed alone ?

It is illegal here in the great state of Texas . So no.

Fine for smoking is $10,000.

Im moving to Colorado though and its legal there..

However many doctors have warned me that even CBD is harmful to my mentally ill brain.

i have tried cbd and it made me feel much better . So idk.

Nice of them to be so concerned, don't suppose they have something to offer that's as effective with fewer risks or side effects?

i am doing much better though than when i was off my meds. When i was off my meds , i had racing thoughts, 24/7 nausea, unable to sleep as my mind was racing , easily angered, and delusional thinking . it was horrible and i almost died multiple times off the medication in the mental hospital . As i was catatonic and almost died from lack of food . As i wasn't eating .

I never want to relieve those days. I have none of those symptoms on medication . i am sleeping well, not angry , i have a healthy appetite , no delusional thoughts.

Schizophrenia sucks, but mine is well treated .

Nope. Never done any drugs. Only smoked maybe 5 butts my whole life simply because a bunch of are in a circle and passing them around.

But I do enjoy new experiences like going to a buddy's place and you walk in and smells like weed. lol. Best time was university and went to a buddy's apartment to work on something. Walk in and he and his buddy are extracting oils or some shit on the stove. I have no idea what they were even doing but it involved adding the right amount of ice cubes while it cooked on the stove. Stunk up the whole place and he was amazed nobody or the landlord ever complained. lol

But no worries. we graduated together and he's still a buddy of mine and have known him for almost 30 years.

Never touched it. I don't drink either.

But, legalize it. Legalize it all. Let people make their own decisions in life on what they want to do and not do so long as there isn't a victim. The government locking people up for doing drugs or selling drugs is the biggest scam in the world. NO VICTIM = NO CRIME

I used to smoke almost everyday for years when the medical cards became available in my state, but quit cold turkey when the wife wanted a baby. Been clean for almost 2 years now. But may grow some plants this year right next to my tomatoes.

Nice try, Federale.

And yes, this.

That's cool it's available as an option. My country is ruled by dinosaurs so at least 10 years to get a whiff of decriminalisation I guesstimate. But if you want to fill your cart with bottles of whiskey, vodka and beer then fill your boots. And the parliament for these dickheads has a bar in the building so drink up.

That was always the hack if you were growing weed back in the day.

"Yeah, I'm totally growing tomatoes retail worker at the greenhouse. What should I do to get a bigger yield... of tomatoes."

Alot of the same nutrient requirements. I live in Massachusetts the last time I grew outdoors and it gets really humid in the summer. I got lots of bud rot back then😒

I smoked when I was younger and then stopped for career reasons. But now it is allowed in my state and my job allows it. I started again last year on my birthday when a coworker passed me a hand pipe at an off-site work event lol. I missed it so much. Since then I smoke almost daily again. My birthday is soon so it will be my 1 year anniversary of smoking again! My career is very stressful so it does help alleviate the stress some during my time off.

I have a question and I thought I'd pose it here as I susprct there's an overlap in shroom and weed enjoyers. I've started to feel that I'm at the end of the rope when it comes to psychiatry as no one in that field can explain what's causing my constant emotional numbness, depression and slight dissociative/derealization symptoms. I've tried therapy and medications, but it's a stubborn illness and won't go away. So I've been reading up on psilocybin and how it allows yourself to go into "edit mode" in your brain and possibly allow you to rewire the brain or at least realize what's bugging your subconsciousness. But it's important to be in a good mindset which is why some smoke a little weed before taking a trip, has anyone here any experience with the combination?

Now, this is pretty far away in my future as I want to exhaust my other "normal" options first and there's also the risk that one has unknown and latent schizophrenia/bipolar disorders that get triggered by psychedelics, so I won't rush into anything. I'm not really asking for any professional medical help here as that's best left to, well, the professionals. But I'd love to hear some shroom experiences and if it perhaps has been helped by weed?

I have a pretty solid history with years of experience with shrooms. Also as a form of self medication. My best way to describe it is playing with fire. It has tremendous power that can be nourishing and warming, but it can also burn and destroy. Respect it's power as bad trips can wreck any positives it has brought.

What you are hoping to achieve with dosing shrooms plays a lot into how to approach it. For Depression I find large dose trips with safe company the way to go. If it's anxiety, microdosing for sure.

But even seasoned veterans can push things to far.. im on a break of a bad trip a few weeks ago, it was more then what is considereda hero dose and my Ochras are particularly potent. Bad trips can cause serious issues and negate some of the positives so proper dosing and setting is very important.

What shrooms you take is also very important. Psilocyne Cubensis all have similar effects despite the different variety names. I have a solid preference for psilocybe ochraceocentrata (previously known as Natalensis). Significantly less body load and nausea, more positive feeling and more visuals.

As for the combination, it's a must for me. Usually 500 to 1000mg of thc in edibles and preroll a bunch of joints

be safe! Start low and go slow

I stopped a couple of months ago, but I'm back now, though in a more moderate way this time. I basically only smoke when I get a new game or watch a movie I'm really excited about. Last Friday, an album I was really looking forward to dropped, so I smoked a bit then too

At least it's not part of my daily routine anymore. There were a couple of years where I was more high than sober

Yeah, I've read stories about bad trips on reddit and "fire" is how I would describe it.

How does one "deal" with s bad trip? How long can it take to get over it?

Thanks for the info, I'll certainly bookmark your post as there was lots of new stuff for me in it.

My idea was to basically start with microdosing and increase a little bit just to get a feel as I've never tried anything like it before. Might not give any particular effect, but if my brain starts kicking back like a donkey from a tiny dose then it'll be easier to deal with than what you called a "heroic" one lol.

its best just to put some music on and try to distract yourself. If you have someone else around just talking to them can help as they can reassure you certain things arent real. something like ativan will numb it, wont completely kill it, but will turn the volume down.
some people will be completely turned off after a bad trip and not go back, i usually take a month or two before i settle back in

They really need to legalise weed in the UK.

I probably wouldn't go back to smoking it, but I think it would be beneficial to the country with the tax the government could make from it.

The problem is people here think weed is dangerous. It's not harmless at all, but on the scale of dangerous drugs weed is near the very bottom.

You know what's at the top? Alcohol. A drug that causes far more damage and is directly or indirectly responsible for thousands, maybe tens of thousands, of deaths each year. How many people die from weed?

Came across the thread again just a couple minutes after I was smelling the dank coming from my roommate's room.

As.I mentioned before I can't do it because it causes severe anxiety in me. Small amount I'm okay with.

I haven't smoked weed in yearssss , had a really bad high that pretty much killed my interest in it and I just quit cold turkey.

I used to a very few times, and have done it semi-regularly the past few months. Using a professional vaporizer (water vape, pure weed), far better than even a bong.

It was good.

I purposefully don't want to know how to do the deeds myself because its clear to me that this stuff pulls you in. I don't necessarily need it (nor does anyone?) but the strains i did try gave out a nice melo vibe, which i like. Def more a downer than upper bloke.

Fortunately for me my tolerance is very low so i don't need much to get the good vibes going. Then again i don't smoke either so this is very much a social activity for me.

Fun whilst it lasts, but nothing that entices me to pursue this further. What helps far better is ensuring that the daily life i live is chill by itself.

It's dank af in here. I even came home from grocery shopping and as soon as I open the door I could smell it.

Unfortunately, I don't mind the smell and actually kind of like it.

About to end my time in the service and while I do enjoy having a good drink from time to time it's not my preferred choice. I am looking foward to getting my DD-214 and the first thing I'll be doing is getting Chipotle (been outside the US for 3 years) and going to the local grass shop.
