You Guys are always switching metrics. Last year it was user reviewers this year its concurrent user counts. Next year it will be "people masturbating while typing about the game. 😂"

Numbers looking awful yep....but maybe "engagement" on the freemiumpass is massive and growing. (which just doesnt help anyone)
you bet! hordes of people signin up to gamepiss to experience this marvel, i can already see the "biggest growth within last week" and "a million happy engagements" tweets

Tracking CCUs on Steam has been a thing for years now. It's just extra fun tracking woke slop.

The true test should be if it lasts longer than 2 weeks and owners get refunded.

Nah we were looking at CCU for Flintlock, Concord, Dustborn, Unknown 9, Veilguard, and all the other flops last year.

I am mastering right now though.

I've never subscribed to Gamepass, but I'd assume the PC version comes from a Microsoft store, not the Steam version, right? You'd think that would have a large hit on how many CCU there are on Steam which would then just be people buying it outright.

I don't really care either way since I think the combat looks like shit, but I'm guessing their internals will see 40k~ CCU across their platforms.

Good games on pc sell well and have high steam numbers even if they are on gamepass. This facade that games launching on GP cannibalise PC sales is wrong. Pc gamers give zero fucks about pc gp to the extent that they'll not just sub to it just for one game.

I'm making an assumption that the game pass numbers don't get included in this?

If not, that's probably pretty good. Between that and Xbox it's probably a success, not a huge one.

Once it comes to ps5 (assuming it does) it will get some legs too I'd wager.

I really don't know how much Gamepass #s affect it. Starfield topped out at 330K on Steam while Indiana Jones hit 12K, to give you a couple other examples of games that launched simultaneously on Gamepass and Steam.

My prediction is around DA:V so close to 100k ccu on steam, probably similar crowd gonna want to buy/play that, voted 50k coz i think it wont reach 100k but will be above 50k 4sure.

That seems terrible tbh. This game really should've been on ps5 day 1 to get that sales boost it desperately needed. No one is buying this game on xbox because of gamepass and pc gamers aren't going to boost the sales much at all.

Terrible take, combat and exploration are the best parts of the game and are legitimately great.

yep. they need to sort out their pipeline issues asap, if they want this third party pivot thing to work.
they knee-capped indy and this one heavily by missing a day-1 ps5 launch promo-hype cycle.
another example of management blunder

70 bucks is also a bit too much for this game. If they might have listed it for the good old 50 bucks or even 60 like KCD2 did....it might have looked slightly better.

Ya when a niche game like this is delayed for a huge platform like the ps5 for several months then you've effectively killed all the hype for it and sales revenue you could've had. When this and indiana jones do launch for the ps5, i expect them to underperform because the hype is non existent and no one cares anymore.

I actually thought the gameplay looked like fun plus some good sound design. But the price point is keeping me away. It costs a lot for a PC release.

It's okay. We will soon get those engagement numbers to set things right.

The game is spread on Xbox, Xbox gamepass, pc gamepass, battle.net, steam, Xcloud, GeForce now

I'm sure local accountants are punching numbers hard

Thats a shame. I hear the combat and visuals are quite good in the game. Its the writing that is the main drawback.

If western devs figure out good character design and writing, i think we'll have some great output in the next gen.

We learned it from Xbox.

"We no longer share sales numbers, but look how many zombies were killed, how many headshots landed and the number of teabag emotes players performed on each other."
