Notch teases some freecam shots of new game (alpha)

Nice to see something a little more ambitious, you'd think with all the money and popularity that Minecraft would've maybe evolved a little more in the last decade.

If this is meant to be a singleplayer game where you lead a party, it really comes down to whether Notch can make the AI feel like you're playing co-op.

This is the same issue I had with Mechwarrior 5. Probably an amazing co-op game, but I'm not invested enough to rope three friends to play it with me.

A Dungeon Crawler? I'm mildly interested.
Currently there is another Dungeon Crawler in Development called Cralon by the Gothic Developers.
Nice to see Dungeon Crawlers are coming back.

Doesn't this dude have like a billion dollars in his bank account?
I understand the passion to keep working, but man, just sitting around with 5 daily escorts in my castle drinking booze and playing video games seems like it would be a better life... =)

Even that gets boring.

Looks interesting. Looks like he's crossing Eye of the Beholder with Minecraft?
Yeah he said he's taking cues from Eye of the Beholder and Legend of Grimrock 2.

I'm excited, I like the look of the game a lot with those tiny voxels and an open-world procgen blobber sounds like a lot of fun.

That's fucking cool, then. I think one of the best things about Minecraft was the dungeon generation. If he can make it work with a "blobber", like Eye of the Beholder, that would be pretty cool. I already dig the look.

>Man who made a billion dollars making a passion project for fun continues to make passion projects for fun
>"why does he keep doing that?"
