MindsEye (ex Rockstar + IOI) releases June 10/2025

There was nothing interesting in that trailer for me. It's the same shit I've seen in hundreds of games.

It's devoid of any personality which is dissapointing seeing as Leslie is involved. Was hoping for much more.
 
I hope they release some longer uncut gameplay.
I'd be down for a Xbox360 estyle cover shooter with a fun story, but the few gameplay clips they have shown look janky.

I feel like the cutscenes and gameplay look disjointed.
The cutscenes actually look like a relatively high budget modern game. But then it cuts to the gameplay and it looks like an indie studio trying to make a just cause clone .
 
Considering GTA Online was Benzie's love child I was very surprised when I saw this was a single-player only game.
I remember reading reports about Rockstar having big exodus of veteran devs after GTA V's singleplayer expansions were cancelled because Benzies decided to focus on Online, then he also ends up quitting and begins working on a single-player game.
Funny how it worked out, I wonder if any of those devs that quit Rockstar back in the day are working for and under Benzies again.

Anywho, curious to play this game, gameplay doesn't look that special for now but maybe the story will make up for it. I'll definitely check it out when it comes out.

With this and Death Stranding 2, the Summer wait for GTA 6 might actually be more bearable.
 
Gameplay looks basic, cinematics look pretty good. I guess it all boils down to how interesting the setting and story is, since it's a narrative driven game.

I feel like this will nail gameplay but be bland story wise, old Rockstar essentially split into Build A Rocket Boy (Benzies + Rockstar North vets) and Absurd (Dan Houser + Lazlow)
 
6 months away with no official gameplay trailers outside of that one minute video....

This is getting delayed yall

Like I really, really, want to support devs that escapes the clutches of corporate driven studios. But man, give us a decent chunk of unedited gameplay. 🙏

This is fucking GREAT. Looks like it probably wont outstay its welcome whatsoever. There's enough open world bullshit out there and after Creed Shadows this will be most welcome.

One of the reasons Mafia 1 and 2 were so good was BECAUSE the city was just a backdrop for the missions.

This game reminds me of "Eight days" project of Sony in the Ps3 era. Unfortunately Sony did not push through with this project.

Yes its actually a complement. The Sony project 8 days is very impressive especially the physics and destruction effects, and I was very disappointed it was cancelled. Mindseye reminds me of this game. And yes no politics and no woke agenda and just good times in that era.

I'm right there with mr. Berry when this game drops. I want to believe The Benz retains some of that old school Rockstar spirit. Hopefully, it will come through in this game.
 
It looks great but the main thing is going to be how the shooting and combat in general works. It's worrying that they just give you brief glimpses of it.
 
Looks good. If it's decent it will do well I think. Especially now after the GTA delay, many people will be starving to play a somehow similar game. Even if the scope is much smaller.
 
Does look good but there's quite a few good looking UE5 games aren't there? Gameplay though who knows it's ex-Rockstar so potential is there. Performance, can take a good guess...

There's nothing cool about generic janky shooting or XBox 360 era driving through a city.

Cool AA games do something different that makes them cool. Those clips aren't cool at all.

Why is it generic?

And what other open world games with a story are there this gen? Where it takes place in a scifi setting and you have the ability to drive around? Besides Cyberpunk and Watch Dogs (bleh) theres not much

AA isn't cool because it apes AAA and does it worse.

AA is cool because it allows developers to try something different, something risky.

This game might end up being great but our comments were spot on. It looks like the GTA/Cyberpunk you buy from Temu. Those clips showed off nothing of value.

considering this either shares the tech or is made in the Everywhere social game they are making, I can confirm from anonymous sources that Everywhere plays pretty jank, so if the 3rd person shooting and driving seems off, it's probably cause it is.

general concept and look seems fine though, would like them to iron all the kinks out before launch. sell it for like $40-50

Agree, it somehow looks equally polished and jank. Seems like it can be fun though, and thats what matters most. But fun at $45 or under.. don't think I'd p[ay a full $70

The market seems to disagree. Plus, if there's one thing y'all b**ch about, it's multiplayer. Might want to hand that to an editor before you hit "Post reply".
 
The clip is too short and not really representative of the final experience I hope.
Still interested in this one but the lack of an official proper gameplay trailer is worrying.
