Some of you are really impossible to please
I'm always been critical of past SOP, the last one I gave it a F. But this time I give Sony credit, gave it a B, especially for Japan made game focus. But still not fully satisfied due to lack of PS 1st and 2nd party exclusives. I'm not missing DS2 On the beach, since we already know allot about it and I'm completely sold, day one for me, while GOY was a small tease, maybe will have its own show.

Everybody's Golf: Hot Shots, Nioh 3 and FF Tactics: Ivalice Chronicles made the show for me

I'm playing the Cairn demo and I'm digging this. The mechanics seem pretty involved and it's challenging whilw the atmosphere and mood are cool. The main character looks fucking weird, kind of like this crazy bitch I see at the train station chugging mini vodka bottles, but oh well.

Worst part is the performance on base PS5. It runs like ass. Panning the camera feels choppy and uneven.

Still very interested in this.

Totally forgot about that 1. Guess I have 2 demos to play.

Pretty rad PC showcase tbh, Idk what the haters are on. Probably a frothing console fanboy thing. Not a gamer into gaming for the games & great stuff thing...

Many of the games will be awesome (even if not the best trailers, true), Marvel tag fighter by Arc Sys, Bond, FF Tactics, Nioh 3, Silent Hill, Thief and some more.

Though I don't care for the remastered visuals shown for FFTactics, making the game accessible to everyone again & good retro mode without blur bs is great.

In the other hand some of you are really easy to please. The Mcdonald effect I guess.

Different standarts.
at least when you go to mcdonalds for a big mac or a quarter pounder, you get what you want. when you watch sony state of plays, you get everything other than sony first party games. i didnt pay $500 to play last gen looking japanese games, or top down or 2d games ffs. i couldve played them on my ps2.

Definitely interested in Nioh 3, FF Tactics, and Silent Hill. I'm a maybe for Pragmata, Suda 51 game, Bloodstained, and Marvel fighting game. I'm not too exciting about a wireless fight stick, and I'm considering cancelling my expensive MGS3 preorder after today's show. I'm much less confident in that one now.

I got your point, but my mention about 'Mcdonalds' was the fact that people eat their burgers and never expect much better, while if someone make a critic about Mcdonalds they said 'Mcdonalds sell millions'.

Well, people paid $700 and still make those kinda of commentaries like 'we are impossible to please', I mean, is pretty embarrassing spending that amount of money and still saying what was showed in this State of Play was decent.

One or two games got my attention, but doesn't mean was good. For a first party pespective was pretty pathetic.

Ok, now that I'm done screaming into the void at no REIX.

Time for some real talk.

Where the fuck are Sony's marquee Western studios? No ND, no Soros, no Insomniac, no Marathon either, their "big" first party game releasing in a few months.
They needed this, especially after the whole Marathon fiasco. They were eating 💩 for their GaaS failures. I personally enjoyed the show a lot. Can't quite beat that ER trailer, but it was good.

Nothing "embarrassing" about having a different opinion.

What a weird thing to say.

There are opinions not so 'opinions'. Concord threads have a plent. Super positive things about the game while bashing people saying negative things.

Its not weird contesting the balance. As I mention before, most of the games showed could be presented by others channels/sites, not necessarily SoP, while the lack of first party games is pretty underwhelming and I not even mention the silence about the GaaS push.

Some good titles on all the systems.

As I mention, could be showed on Xbox conference and no one would notice a difference. Good for everyone, not so much for Playstation.

I grew up on PC and I have no desire to pay PC prices again. If my 1080/i7 can't play it, then I have plenty of other stuff to play on consoles now. PC gaming isn't very good anymore, imo. We used to get stuff you just couldn't get on consoles and it was worth the headache to get the game working.
My 4070ti was £599 just before 4070 super came out and 5600x was £120. And the games look and perform leagues above ps5.

What's the obsession with exclusives?
Is a game good just because it is exclusive or 1st party? (Concord 😂😂😂)

Get on with the times, real exclusives will become rarer and rarer, games cost too much to make nowadays, and development times are much longer now.

You'll have the "revenge for dead husband" Simulator (ghost of Yotei) coming soon.

Nintendo says, hold my beer. 😄

This SoP is better but starting to think why I own a playstation with not really many exclusives anymore, understand industry is moving this way which is fair, new marvel game looks good and Nioh 3 but for me not much else.

See what MS are offering

Obvious for what? For being honest?
Grow up with your fanboy shit

Posts inflammatory baity shit, accuses others of being fanboys, like.goddamn.clockwork.every. single.time.

Shit man, some self awareness would actually do you some good - being "honest" ? Who the fuck elected you as the arbiter of what's good or not ? besides, some of you whining trolls are literally impossible to satisfy.

Dont be angry, be less miserable

Really? Wow, must of missed that.
Thanks for bringing it to my attention 👍
Yeah as she is picking up the cube.

Which looks to me like "The Eye" from previous games.

And on the poster we see that she has, well, an glowing eye.

"I thought I was dead. Who are you?"

Maybe Garrett is "The Eye" in this game.

I really enjoyed the show and thought it was a solid lineup of games. I'll not play everything as there's just too much out there but I can appreciate the quality of the games shown, even if they're not for me. I would like to have seen more future first party stuff, and that'll happen when they're nearer release and ready to show, but that doesn't mean there aren't great games coming this year. Hopefully Geoff will have some big surprises at the SGF show too.

The show was really good.
It had tons of interesting games and the good part is that many of them are being released soon.
Silent Hill f in September was a really nice surprise, Nioh 3 as well, Pragmata is back, Suda's new game looks really cool and stylish.
Playstation Studios is also bringing surprises with the Marvel fighting game in collaboration with Arc System and Ghost of Yotei is getting a dedicated show.

As always some people will complain that the State of Play wasn't the event where Sony announced at least 5 new AAA single player first party productions all together :messenger_grinning_sweat: but this has become an incredibly moot point. They don't make these "showcase everything we got years in advance to keep a certain fanbase hyped" events anymore.

Silent Hill F and Suda 51's new game were cool.

No megatons in this show. Nothing wowed.

I loved Nioh 1 & 2 but I don't need a 3rd one. In fact I was pretty sure koei tecmo said they were done after nioh 2 so why the change?

Not true. I would have been extremely pleased if we were shown some first party studios games.
I don't think Sony is going to be doing that anymore until closer to others releasing first. This has been their thing all gen long now, unfortunately. Wasn't there interviews a few years back with their studios claiming they didn't like the "announce too early strategy" anymore, unless the studio chooses to? And that they will focus more within a marketing release window similar to Apple, Nintendo and the like.

Seems like we are due for one big first party reveal though. Maybe we will get it at SGF. I'll stop bitching until then.

I think this winter after Ghost is released. It's definitely going to be in bunches towards the end of this gen, like it was last gen. Games are just taking way too long to make now. Then there's the 'VI' behemoth to tip-toe around and seems they're marketing partnered with as well.

I'm pretty much convinced Gaas took a big bite out of their release cadence as well.
