Are both your NAT types open?My friend and I, who are playing on PC, weren't able to find a random third for literally over 15 minutes

Usually i dont, but it was a known issue in the day 1 patch notes and they said they are working on it so...lol, Do ppl really expect performance improvements from From software in 2025 ???
its has 150K players right now on steam, if ain't broke to the point of stooping ppl playing they ll take their time AND while they sell tons of copies with their ancient broke engine they ll not update that shit and we ll continue to get broke games from them.Usually i dont, but it was a known issue in the day 1 patch notes and they said they are working on it so...
I've felt the opposite. The first several days I could barely scrape together a win. Now the last day or two, I'm on like a 5 game win streak including beating dark drift and final boss blind first time.I also get the idea that I had the highest percentage of completed runs like a week ago and that there's a much bigger rate of failure again now. It's like there's a second wave of players playing now for who it's their first souls game. They seem to know how to go fast and where to go on the map, but they don't know boss movesets and get hit a lot and use bad weapon or sorceries and incantations. Like they have no prior game knowledge. So at first it seems like a run is going very well, but the further you get the more you're struggling. Or maybe it's just the time of the day.
Hmm, maybe I'm just unlucky with matchmaking then. Also have the feeling I'm matched with a lot of duo's.I've felt the opposite. The first several days I could barely scrape together a win. Yeah that's the thing with randoms. It's just pure luck. You would think a decent chunk of the population would be getting better so it's more likely to get more experienced players unless you're just getting unlucky like you said. I kinda thought I got matched with a duo on my first noklateo run. I could barely keep up since they were whizzing around the place but not sure. They certainly knew how to play though.Hmm, maybe I'm just unlucky with matchmaking then. Also have the feeling I'm matched with a lot of duo's.
- Fixed a bug that caused the game to become unstable under some circumstances during the battle against Adel, Baron of Night.
Yeah I don't mind if people aren't good players and/or are new to the game. But you can easily brute force yourself through day 1 and 2 and then to wipe so easily on day 3 that it can be a bit anticlimactic, especially if it happens so frequently. And you can get unlucky yourself too, with only have bestial sling as a damaging incantation on Revenant for instance.Yeah that's the thing with randoms. It's just pure luck. Side note: as much as I (and everyone) hate scarlet rot, I think the rot forest is the best shifting earth. Just packed with bosses and the reward is nice if you don't have the equivalent relic yet.
Yeah. It had been working perfectly all night. Just had one random blip where it seemingly shit the bed.Are both your NAT types open?
Do you mean shifting earth? Because cataclysms are something elseGot two more cataclysm events to complete for those set of trophies, just solo'd the crater for the legendary upgrade, was easy.

the weapon starts like 'Increased Range Damage' stack and are in effect by just having the weapon on you and not when being used
wylder or ironeye are probably the easiest classes to wrap your head around as a beginner. since you have experience with the other titles, you can probably choose any class you like. the sparring grounds and visual codex are recommended to check out before you start your runs to check out stat/weapon scalings. wylder is just your str/dex quality build and ironeye is your ranged bow class. both are easier to have success with, especially wylder since he has a passive which allows a cheat death that restores every time you hit up a grace. especially as a beginner, it's essential to get a +2(purple) weapon sometime during day 2. if you go into the mine/caves, you'll fight either a troll/pumpkin head/knight miniboss that drops a +2 smithing stone that you can use to upgrade a weapon to +2. you can buy a +1 smithing stone if you dont find any (they also drop often in chests in the mines) at the merchants where you can upgrade weapons. even your base starter weapon at +2 is usually better than a +1 random weapon. also, even if random junk drops that you otherwise wouldn't use, look at the passives that the item has. these passives are active even if you don't have that particular item equipped.Any beginner tips? I wasn't going to play this game, but my sister bought me it and wants me to play with her and her friend, so I'm installing now to play in a few hours.
Have spent hundreds if not thousands of hours across From titles, just did no research into how the class systems and such work in this one.

Yuuuup! It's REALLY easy to miss. I put in SEVERAL hours before I fully realized that was even a thing, lmao.Good to know about the passives in inventory. Unless it explicitly explains that, I probably would miss that for a bit.

One extra tip about the boluses (and other items on the ground really):Along with what others have said,
- Check what is the night lord weakness and hit the camp with that element on one of the two days to get at least one weapon with that element.
- Hit the mine at least once to get the smithing stone so that you can upgrade the weapon before night lord
- Carry at least one bow with good passive so you can revive a downed teammate from a distance.
- Eat all element resistance consumables immediately as they last forever.
- Protect your teammates and help reviving them either by reviving yourself or distract boss so other player can.
- Avoid fighting tanky field bosses.
- Try to do one or two evergaol.
- And lastly kill enemies, don't die.

the amount of people I've seen go down to field bosses I knew would be a bitch is crazy, they just run headfirst into death and I just watch them instantly get one-shotAvoid fighting tanky field bosses.
I don't know if this is real, a couple of these affixes I've never even seen after nearly 70 hours clocked but if so God damn:

I'm having the same problem. I thought picking Augur for the Champion's Path trophy instead of the Tricephalos would prevent that, but all I'm getting is deeply religious idiots that just want to visit every church instead of actually killing things...After beating all the bosses does the game intentionally pair you with noobs to carry them? I can't believe the fucking fools I've been paired with the past couple of days, not even making it to the Nightlord most of the time, nevermind beating it, was definitely NOT my experience up until now, Jesus Christ. Yesterday I dropped a legendary weapon for a Guardian, my Duchess doesn't need that shit. Dude dies within 10 seconds of the boss battle, gets revived, promptly dies again ffs.
Just need to beat Nightlords with Recluse/Duchess for that particular trophy and the game is doing everything in it's power for that not to happen lmao
Too real lol
Don't fight it. Run past it the 2 times it shows on the way to the top, then get the Dormant power that reduces frostbite effect and build up by 50% and you can fight it, if you want, on the way down.Doing well now, on to Auger and becoming a Recluse main easily so far,
The Shifting Lands Mountaintop sucks though, randonly taking levels from you whilst the enemy to beat to get them back is a tanky Ice Dragon in a arena constantly causing Frostbite just feels really unfair
Literally me every run
Game is straight up addicting. Curious if any of the naysayers from before launch have tried it and completely changed their tune?
