Wrasslin' Thread 20XX |OT| New Age WrestleGAF

The cynic in me pretty much thinks he was working people when he took the public stance (to keep himself in the public eye looking good for whatever he was doing at that moment) and now he's working people again since now the money aspect is a lot more obvious. Good luck trying to figure out what he actually thinks.
well he did say he was back to make cash not friends.

can we fire Peter Rosenberg and Sam Roberts and just have Jackie Redmond and Byron Saxton do the count downs from now on.

Sam Roberts is one of the most annoying people on the face of the earth, I can't believe no one has kicked his face in, I wouldn't be able to be around that guy without thinking of doing that 24/7.

i feel bad for drew having to tag with paul hoping a faceturn for drew coming out of summer slam.

At least Logan is a good wrestler. I'm not a fan of his but he's good on the mic and athletic in the ring. Donut Roll has shitty music and now he's polluting the wrestling scene and teaming up with a veteran who deserves better. SummerSlam is one of the biggest events of the year and 3 wrestlers have to waste their moments with a terrible singer who can't even toss good.

Randy is doing a heel turn soon, I wish at least it would come in the form of an RKO on that sack of shit doodled school desk.

Drew is so good at heel I don't think he will turn but I wouldn't be opposed to it.

that why i think he is turning the live fans love him right now.
drew puts up with lp shit and then at slam they lose lp takes the pin from jelly and drew snaps kicks lp ass to a big pop done

The sad thing about Drew is this guy gets fucked all the time, guy wins a championship with no crowd, takes L's in his home country, wins a belt just to get cashed in on 20 seconds later, it's like Triple H secretly hates him.

Adam Cole is injured again and out of the AEW PPV

Whelp, looks like Seth just got legit injured at the Saturday Night Main Event.

Doctor sat and talked to him for a bit and then they rushed a quick BFT finish ending and win for L.A Knight. No way in hell Seth was going to lose like this otherwise.

Looked like the same knee he injured before that took him out for a few months.

-

edit:
The part where he 'tweaked' his knee, hopefully nothing serious.

It's probably not real and he's going to cash in on OLDBERG tonight if he beats Gunther for the belt.

Looks like Seth's injury is real.

What bad fucking luck, they probably had a whole summer's worth of story lined up for him with the briefcase.

Liv also out with the injury which forced the Dubya E to reconfigure most of their Evolution storylines.

I'm wondering if Punk was supposed to come out and screw over Rollins.

Btw after the main event it reminds me of what I say is the biggest missed opportunity for the WWE in the past 20 years. When the muppets guest hosted raw they should have had Grover come out to the Goldberg theme so the fans could chant "Grover, Grover"

Saturday Night's Main Event was a mess.... adverts all over the shop and cutting Goldberg's retirement speech as well

I have a feeling that wasn't actually it for Goldberg, there is no way they would build it and then end it like that. I expect a rematch, maybe at SS.

The whole seth injury had me so confused. I was at first he is prepping to call in his buddies but after a few i was like damn, he really messed up his knee..

I would expect a bigger stage for his exit too yeah, kind of hope not though I don't need to see anymore Goldberg matches (though saying that the Gunther match was better than I feared)

Looks fake.
Hope it's not real like reports are saying.

Evolution 2 may have been the best WWE PLE this year, and I don't think there has been a close 2nd. I don't understand how people were so shocked about Naomi cashing in though, the second they didn't have Bianca turn on Jade after the match I told my wife the show was ending with Naomi cashing in (I figured after Rhea won, but same result). Trish/Tiffy was a little sloppy at times, but considering the buildup was almost non existent I can't imagine they had alot of time to work out things. Rumble was fun, tag match was great. Wasn't a single match on the card that I didn't enjoy, and that's crazy in modern TKOWWE. Only thing I didn't care for was the Saudi advertising on the ring on a PLE with all women that aren't allowed to be seen outside of a full body tracksuit, yet they all go bonkers over men in underwear, kinda suspect.

cuz the men over there "own" women and no other man is "allowed" to look at their property lol which I'll never understand why any female would support going there….sure, they've made "progress" allowing women to wrestle on the show but women are still next to dirt. Your last point though still stands, super sus.

I enjoyed this weekend of wrestling, I'd say the two best matches were Toni/Mercedes and Iyo/Rhea and I'm not a huge fan of women's wrestling, though I do like some of the wrestlers themselves. Those matches delivered.

Caught up on all the wrestling over last week.

I gotta say, that Rhea vs Io was probably the best match of all the shows.

Goldberg isn't happy about his send off

'There's about 100 things, 'I did three interviews beforehand... I did three. In six months......They cut me off 30 seconds into my speech bro, you don't do that.
It's live television and you can plan for it. I know it is what it is.
The match might have gone long, whatever it is, but I just think it could have been a little classier prepared than it was.

'I'll just say that's a mild understatement. Come on, man. They wouldn't do that to Taker right? They're not gonna do that to Cena, Cena's gone around the world doing his retirement thing. Mine was just a World Heavyweight Championship match. And to be honest, I'm gonna catch hell for this…I don't care, I've had World Heavyweight matches all the time, that doesn't do anything for me - it just felt a little eh to me.'

Let's just say I'm pissed off at the way that I went out, I put so much into it and I don't feel the effort was reciprocated to put a stamp on what I accomplished… I just think it could have been a little classier prepared than it was. That's a mild understatement."

"I got 2 weeks before I can really spill the beans and make my feelings known about the entire rundown from the inception of the idea to its delivery. It was a little less than to be desired."
