Were you one of the people that thought the Switch ports of DOOM, Wolfenstein 2, and Witcher 3 were 'almost' as good as the other versions?.Looks like Star Wars Outlaws kind of tamed the haters, and this is sending them quietly to their corners to grumble among themselves.
The fact of the matter is I don't care what the other versions look like. I'm playing this on the Switch 2.Were you one of the people that thought the Switch ports of DOOM, Wolfenstein 2, and Witcher 3 were 'almost' as good as the other versions?.
Lets wait for direct footage, and better yet the comparisons, before gloating to the heavens.
If you honestly can't see the difference between games like Outlaws and Requiem on Switch 2 and games like Witcher 3 on Switch 1 you have a severe case of Nintendo induced butthurt, you should get it checked by a proctologist. Were you one of the people that thought the Switch ports of DOOM, Wolfenstein 2, and Witcher 3 were 'almost' as good as the other versions?.

I saw the DF vid on Outlaws and it looked worse than the Series S version overall, although a couple of things were better. And how can anyone judge cam footage of this game i dont know. Especially as we dont have much footage of the other versions, or the same foorage anyway, to compare. If you honestly can't see the difference between games like Outlaws and Requiem on Switch 2 and games like Witcher 3 on Switch 1 you have a severe case of Nintendo induced butthurt, you should get it checked by a proctologist.
Yeah that's retarded, but whatever helps you sleep at night. The way i look at it is power wise Switch 2 vs the current consoles is about the same as Switch vs XB1 and PS4. Maybe even slightly wider power wise..
Is it though?. Xb1 and PS4 wre arouind 3 and 4 times more powerful than Switch. I'm pretty sure XSX and PS5 are more than 3 or 4 times more powerful over Swittch 2.Yeah that's retarded, but whatever helps you sleep at night.
I think Nintendo and Nvidia are proving it's not all about power any more. That handheld mode is drawing 9 watts of power. Is it though?. Xb1 and PS4 wre arouind 3 and 4 times more powerful than Switch. I'm pretty sure XSX and PS5 are more than 3 or 4 times more powerful over Swittch 2.
But thanks for proving my point anyway about how annoying Nintendo fans have been on here lately.
It means the game will have 4 enemy types. So it might actually be scary instead of Michael Bay dudebro shooter? Sounds like green flag.
Yeah I was thinking the same thing, it means we will fight 4 versions of the lurching enemy as she gets gradually fatter and stronger, then eventually we'll end up on a dark boat where we fight them some more.It means the game will have 4 enemy types.
Special like it's really good or special like my mother says I am ?Mindblowing. Unlocked framerate quite a bit above 30s and certainly keeps the RT lightning. This handheld is truly special, regardless of what some might say.
Well, for these results, they are certainly kicking well over their weight class.Special like it's really good or special like my mother says I am ?
Nothing but fanboyish bitter tears.Original Switch couldn't even run REVII so they had use cloud version to run the game while Switch 2 is running latest RE game on it…….and people say Switch 2 just "pro" version of original Switch.
Original can't run almost anything anyway ...Original Switch couldn't even run REVII so they had use cloud version to run the game while Switch 2 is running latest RE game on it…….and people say Switch 2 just "pro" version of original Switch.
It's starting to boil down to 'the hair'.Everyone is dishing out praise, but I hope for S2 owners' sakes that the hair doesn't look like a sparkly mess in person in the final release. That stood out to me immediately and I can't focus on anything else.
Thinking my post is automatically console warring or being overly picky says far more about you than it does me.It's starting to boil down to 'the hair'.

RE engine is good only for this kind of games, look at the horrible state that Wilds were left cause this engine. The RE Engine is a work of art imo.
I'll probably pass on Hair Salon Simulator, but I would've done that regardless of if it showed dandruff accurately or not anyway. No, the hair is not distracting to me.Thinking my post is automatically console warring or being overly picky says far more about you than it does me.
If you think the hair isn't distracting, more power to you. But it's the first thing I noticed and to me it's incredibly pronounced. And yes, it boils down to the hair when it's what you see for 99% of the game unless you play in first person mode.
Do you not see the hair issues?
I'm fine with 4 enemy types if they have high density. But lol RE Engine. It means the game will have 4 enemy types.
Disregard your eyes. The hair is bad and IT'S RELEASING IN FIVE MONTHS, so there's no chance for the hair to improve.Just stumbled into this thread…
How in the hell is that running at 60fps looking like that? What kind of black magic does the RE engine use??
This looks insane.
God damn, good point.Disregard your eyes. The hair is bad and IT'S RELEASING IN FIVE MONTHS, so there's no chance for the hair to improve.
You may have missed this one:Anyway I see a Cutscene and a character walking in an empty room...
Youre right I missed thisYou may have missed this one:
Looks like it's running great.
You'll have to forgive me, I don't really pay attention to the fanboy and console war stuff so I'm not really sure if this is a act or not.Disregard your eyes. The hair is bad and IT'S RELEASING IN FIVE MONTHS, so there's no chance for the hair to improve.
Capcom is doing things on a handheld device that a lot of Playstation 5 and Xbox series titles are still not doing particularly the animation work; That character model has a lot of moving parts, this is the stuff we were supposed to see on 2011-2012 high end PCs over a decade ago.Capcom are truly one of the most impressive developers in this industry when they put their full weight behind a game
It does. Those pitch black transitions aren't possible with raster, not at that fluidity we see them. They definitely cut the ray count however, like with Outlaws.Just saw this footage. Well it's definitely not using RTGI, at least in handheld. Leaving Outlaws as the sole RTGI Switch 2 game so far but we don't know whats going on in docked mode.
Who thought that?........Those versions although miracle ports for the Switch where severely compromised. The Switch 2 is nowhere near the same situation. Were you one of the people that thought the Switch ports of DOOM, Wolfenstein 2, and Witcher 3 were 'almost' as good as the other versions?.
Lets wait for direct footage, and better yet the comparisons, before gloating to the heavens.
DLSS and VRR can do wonders if you know how to use and optimize themJust stumbled into this thread…

You are pulling this out of your ass and you know it. Literally nobody thought they were "almost" as good as the other versions. They were deeply compromised and the fact that a game like Witcher 3 can run on an OG Switch is a miracle. Were you one of the people that thought the Switch ports of DOOM, Wolfenstein 2, and Witcher 3 were 'almost' as good as the other versions?.

What resolution is this running at? Maybe that's the reason they are getting good results.
It's at launch. not close. Unless they delay it.Brand new full Resident Evil game on a Nintendo handheld close to launch. Sure, it will no doubt look worse and more than likely run like shit, but still impressive that it is a thing.
Imagine Disaster 2 with great visual effectWhat makes me excited about Switch 2's power is what Monolith Soft is going to do with it.
Switch 2 handheld is roughly a PS4 in terms of raw perf and PS4 games looked good albeit at 30FPS.
I think the Switch 2 being the power of the PS4 has been put to bed. And my initial thinking of somewhere between PS4 Pro and Series S is looking far more likely with each port. With significantly more modern features, which for modern games makes a huge difference.
For last generation games, the switch 2 is just a PS4+ indeed, but for recent games like RE or Star wars, it's definitely closer to being a series S lite.
People will be shocked when they'll see the Switch 2 version of The Witcher 4.
