Considering how well Outlaw looks and plays I wonder if they'll put the same effort here.
Shadows is extremely dense too. Lots of foliage and NPCs so I'm really curious how well they can get this to run. I don't think I'll double dip for this though, I played it on PC with maxed out settings just because of how amazing it looks.different engine sadly. AC Shadows uses Anvil Next, while StarWars Outlaws is using Snowdrop.
this will probably just use the performance mode of the other consoles, while running at a dynamic 720p internally (or static 540p) at 30fps.
but who know? maybe they are able to squeeze RT GI in there... I doubt it tho.
You mean the ADHD generation of "I want it now!" over reacted early? I'm shocked.Just gonna drop this here.
After State of Play and Summer Game Fest, I can't barely remember how many third-party games get announced for Switch 2. For everyone expecting a strong support for it, I think these are bad news.

Looks like Switch 2 third party situation will be just fine.
30 fps incoming.
Considering how much I'm enjoying Outlaws, I might give this a look.

I'd say the big difference is that Switch never got any native ports of current gen Assassin's Creed games.I'm not saying Switch 2 won't have good third party support.
But Ubisoft is very consistent at basically always supporting new hardware and services. They were there for the WiiU, Stadia, Meta Quest, etc, they are also some of the first games to show up whenever there's some new subscription service.
North Korea could make a console and Ubisoft would probably be like

That's kinda my point. The tech in Switch 2 allowed Ubisoft to port current gen open world games to the system when they struggled to do that for the original Switch. So it bodes well for an improvement in third party support more broadly.Sure, but that was probably more because of technical limitations than Ubisoft not wanting to support the console. Because they did consistently support it with other easier to run titles.
What's funny is that Black Flag on Switch is still arguably one of the best looking and more technically impressive games on the system.
