Probably very similar with a lower resolution and worse textures. This is a Switch game at it's core. Even the Switch 2 physical edition comes with the switch cartridge and an upgrade code for the Switch 2 version.

I haven't seen any Switch (1) previews, but this should give a rough idea:
Docked mode: 900p@60fps
Handheld mode: 600p@60fps
(Pretty much the same as Metroid Prime: Remastered)
Docked mode (quality): 4K@60fps
Docked mode (performance): 1080p@120fps
Handheld mode (quality): 1080p@60fps
Handheld mode (performance): 720p@120fps

Haters gonna hate because we got 4 biomes and they arbitrarily put each of the 4 GF Troopers in each one to strip the sense of Isolation and Tension that is featured in every Metroid game because god forbid we have ambient sound and atmospheric music without someone yapping over it. All to ease the tension Metroid fans love and crave. I betcha if you had someone yapping all over Phendrana Drifts it would be an issue for fans too. Even worse when it's suggested you might need them to solve puzzles like Samus is a incompetent when she hasn't needed anyone for the entirety of Metroid Prime 1, 2 and 3. Clear lack of discipline compared to how the GF is shown in both MP2 and MP3 compared to MP4.
It's pretty jarring to me you have to help this "bad engineer" and he was capable of shooting himself down if he had a service pistol on his person the whole time and as trained Military personnel he shouldn't be fumbling his Pistol. Makes you feel like either Myles is a fresh recruit or the whole team are a rookie Squad.
We are getting some "Sonic the Hedgehog's shitty friends" syndrome up in here.
Beyond the cringe Trooper Task Force the game is solid. Day 1 easily. I've been waiting almost 20 years for Metroid Prime 4 and I am not going to let a "The Office" reject turn me away.

What's confusing to me is why mention that sort of thing when as a GF Trooper you wouldn't be sitting in any Office setting to begin with. I think in any kind of "Cast Away" situation the last thing on your mind is sitting in an Office and being more worried about where you are. But I think it's time to move on from Myles Mackenzie.
Maybe the other characters will be more memorable and they got the worst one out of the way.

The big question is if this is only in the tutorial areas, or the full game. I personally feel we will get a mixture of both. But people getting upset at what could be potentially a very small amount of the overall game is just insane.
As for these parts I will reserve judgement until I actually play the game, as it's pretty much subjective opinions based on very little evidence at the moment.

I think we need a reality check with the prime series. It's never been a great seller. I love the games but even prime 3 on the Wii only sold niche numbers. The Metroid remaster also only sold low numbers as well. So I guess they are trying to give the series a bit more wider appeal. Now of course this will not sit well with certain fans. But like I have said it's far too early to pass judgement, and the only opinion that matters at the end of the day is ours when we play it.

I get it you are a massive fan, and to be fair so am I. As I stated my comment was not aimed at you personally. But there are quite a few drive by comments on here and many Nintendo threads, that are trolling.
Now in this case you are going to either like the inclusion of the NPC's or not. Many movies I watch have cringe worthy dialogue in places. But that does not prevent me from liking the movie as a whole. With this we are just going to have to wait and see.
So far what I have seen visually on the Switch 2 has me very hyped for the game.

At least there's a mute option for voice acting if it gets really bad. I've seen some previews where they turned that on because the NPC was talking constantly over the OST while exploring.

A series should stand or fall based on its own merits imo, not just on love of a brand and a hope for a better one.
If this reviews well I'll buy it. And a Switch 2. If it doesn't, I won't. Whatever happens to the viability of the series isn't my fault.
Its better than it becoming something its not. Identity in games matters folks and atmosphere is Metroids.
