Yeah, I personally think he was a pretty terrible POTUS. I wasn't saying that's how I viewed him - rather that seems to be how he wanted to view himself. That was the legacy he wanted people to remember him by.

It looks like the smear campaigns worked on you. He's not running in 2028, anytime he says anything about that's because some moron reporter asks him so he gives a non-definitive answer to rile them up. Accusations do not equal guilt, and they all magically appeared when making a presidential run for the opposite side, yet this guy has been in the spotlight for decades, do the math.

Of course rich New York financial figures knew each other and spent time with each other. And Trump famously ended any connection they had when Epstein acted out inappropriately at Mar-a-lago.

The real concern with the DOJ is when are they going to start pressing charges against anybody they actually do have info on. Keeping massive redactions is fine if there is an actual case they are going to present, so they don't ruin their chances of the charges sticking. But so far we only have a dead Epstein and a jailed sidekick to show for it. If you got somebody, charge them. If no further charges are going to be filed, release everything except the Victims info.

My opinion... they were letting in much more than they were getting rid of and even handing some the "keys to the kingdom" or so to speak, to some of them. I had an Illegal attempt to cash some kind of check, for 7000USD$ (ID checked, Guatemalan) where we could be flagged if we tried to cash it. It was from the state. Legit, but beyond our means... WTF?
How does someone who cannot speak a lick of English... get a check from the state like this? AND in an Amount like this???

I don't think its a situation that is unsalvageable.

Right now is a period in which people will have to endure. Periods come and go. I'm sure some wise folks can see the fissures that need to be mended.

As a general rule, I don't care what my politicians do in their personal lives, as long as they support the policies I want them to support and vote the way that I want them to vote.

I'm far more upset at President Trump's attacks on MTG, Rand Paul, and Thomas Massie, than I ever could be about him being friends with Epstein.

That said, whatever disagreements/issues I may have with President Trump, he's still 1000% better than the alternative, and much, much better than many Republican elected officials, who are little more than establishment hacks and RINOs
