Foldable iPhone renders

Days like these...

Have a Blessed Day
2026 is your year guys. It's apparently going to be wider than your average slab phone to give it a better screen ratio as a tablet. Looks pretty cool.

Honestly looks cooler than I expected.

I want the opposite, I wish they'd go back to the smaller phones. The functionality of a smart phone but snug in your pocket.

I do see the opportunities of a phone that can become a mini tablet but it's not for me.

You mean refined and market tested as in being commercially available for YEARS as an android device? :P
I'm no Apple fanboy but let's keep the fanboy warring out of this. Let them have their moment. I can't wait 2026 is the year Apple invents the foldable. As a tech nerd I'm very interested in seeing their foldable.

I really do wonder if they'll be sourcing the screens from their competitor. Im sort of excited about the trifolds as an f7 user.

My man, you can't ask for solidarity amongst tech nerds in one moment then immediately fire shots in the next.

Something to keep an eye on, are we sure foldable phones are the next thing? I think the visible lines on the fold is a joke.

I'm really looking forward to seeing how much this will cost in Europe! That said, I've only ever used a flip phone as a secondary device for work, and while it's super handy and easy to carry in any pocket, I don't really use the smaller screen much.

I've never come across a foldable phone out in the wild. Are these actually popular or is it all artificial?
It's not artificial but adoption is low (I think because of the cost) especially in America. I know a lot of women with flips. I only know one guy with a Fold. I'd get one but for me the camera is super important so until they have flagship grade cameras I'm not getting one.

Dumb, the last thing we need in society is bigger phones. You can't go to any event these days with phones ruining it for everyone. people are too self centered.

Just went to my kids band concert and even though it was said multiple time not to record with phones or take pics. its hundred bright ass screen lighting up the room.

is it so hard to understand that IF you must record something on your phone in the dark to lower your screen brightness all the way?

Ma'am this is a Wendy's calm tf down. People are not going to be using them unfolded to record. I don't see the issue. We already jumped the shark when people started holding their phone horizontally while talking on the speakerphone in public.

I wish they made normal phones in that aspect ratio too. I don't need mine to be a long rectangle. It also makes reading ebooks more pleasant, like on the iPad Mini.

Not a fan of foldables myself so I'll likely skip it.
I'm surprised they didn't go with a horizontal foldable as that's the type that seems popular for ladies or the younger crowd.

If there is a "compact" mode where you can use it like a mirror to put on make-up AND still scroll instagram/tiktok at the same time....it'll be a game changer!

YouTuber Jon Prosser has published a new video claiming to show Apple's foldable iPhone, despite currently being involved in a lawsuit from Apple over previous leaks.

Prosser, who was sued by Apple in July after leaking details related to iOS 26 and the Liquid Glass design language, shared a video on Christmas Eve featuring high-quality 3D renders of what he says is Apple's first foldable iPhone. The device is not expected to be announced until next year.

In the video, Prosser says the foldable iPhone will launch next fall alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.

Samsung put me off the Fold7 by not having top tier cameras, a stylus and a larger battery so bought an S25U instead, if I'm spunking top dollar on a phone it needs to have the best of everything and no compromises, I basically want an S26 Ultra in foldable format so I'll see how the fold8 looks cause dayam if the Fold7 isnt a gorgeous phone, too deep into Google to switch over to Apple but I could be tempted seeing as the wife and kids are all iPhones and this may be the thing that could tempt me

I had an LG with an optional foldable second screen and the only thing holding it back from being superior to a regular phone was software support.

If Apple can nail that, even with visible lines it could still be a killer product.

I was at Hans Zimmer last month and there was hardly a phone up, yes a few here and there and like you, I lowered my brightness waaay down to take photos so as to not spoil anything for anyone behind me

That looks like the original Pixel Fold. If that's it I'm not impressed
Yeah, but then again there's not much you can do with the fold design. It's going to be pretty unremarkable unless you do some origami shit. The only thing exciting to me would be it supporting MacOS Lite when hooked to a display and unfolded. It'd be truly like having a lil computer. I think only Dex does those things well, but then again it ain't WIndows.

I remember being at a "light festival" in my town where it's dark most time of the winter and they projected cool stuff on walls. Someone kept using a flash on their phone when taking pictures and I got seriously annoyed. Until I realized it was me.

I think it would be cool if they went with a wider ratio on the outside sorta of like Huawei's flip. The problem with the current foldables is you get massive black bars on the top and bottom when viewing video due to the more squarish for factor

I already bought it, friends. By pre-order

I'll give you my review soon; it arrives in the first few weeks of January.

Wow that's is wild! How heavy is it? You're in Mexico how much was it in dollars? This deserves its own post
It's actually very lightweight... And the sound is great. I've even installed Google and YouTube... So it's all just competitor hype. I'll check out more features; it seems you can move the screens without touching it, just by mimicking the way your hand moves, and perform functions.

It cost me about $2,000, and it's easy to set up. If you can install apps...

I can use WhatsApp... I'll download Chat GPT in a bit.

It has a certification card, according to which I am the 868th customer in the entire country to own this phone.

$2000 is not bad at all!
