Bloober Team Teases Valentine's Day Reveal As 'Rule Of Rose' Remake

Why would someone remake an unknown game that didn't review or sold well , isn't the whole point of a remake is to pick a game that's is popular so it will sell ? I believe this is just a new game by bloober , could be the switch 2 exclusive that they are working on

Maybe because people at Bloober were among those who actually liked original, regardless of reviews and sales, and simply want to spend their time making a modern version of it?

They probably have enough money at this point anyway.

it not their decision to do so , they don't own the game , the game is owned by Sony.

Sony have been offering their old IPs for other companies to do remasters, remakes or new games for some time. You can even get things like an remaster of Patapon on the Switch and even an new Everybody's Golf Hot Shots. So, they probably just went there and saw the game available.

The game has a great story and characters... Don't pay attention to the reviews.
Rule of Rose is not supposed to be an easy game and is difficult by design, not unlike newer FromSoft games.
People whining about 'gameplay' want a modern breeze-through game everybody can easily finish, e.g. Bloober's SH2 remake.
Punchline, the studio that made RoR, made other games (Chulip, etc.) that are equally difficult/challenging in different ways.

That's right, friend.

I played it and didn't have any difficulty with the gameplay... It's more about skill.

I really don't care about the why. If this is really Rule of Rose by bloober, I'm all the way in. I never played it on PS2, but it was always one of my white whales.

My ice-cold take is that the games with interesting ideas and poor execution that deserve remakes way more than any Resident Evil 4 (or equivalently high profile and eternally regarded game you can name).
