Monitoring the situation in Iran

Let's hope he's really dead.

i remember as a kid i didn't know anything about the world wars.

i thought World War 1 was actually World War Won.

In my imagination i thought it meant the WORLD won a war against aliens or some shit like that lol.

I think that is why they are taking out the command structure.

There are always people to fill the vacuum but are they competent.
Not necessary competent, but the main problem is that one way or another they have to eradicate IRGC because this dance with commanders can last forever. I think IRGC has like tens and tens of them.

Reports starting to roll in. Treat this as tentative.

IRANIAN LEADERS ELIMINATED:

Gen. Ali Shamkhani, Khamenei's right hand man, is dead.

General Mohammad Pakpour, commander of IRGC, is dead. He directed the massacre of tens of thousands of Iranians in January.

Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Ejei, Head of the Judiciary in Iran, dead. He gave the death sentence to thousands of protesters.

Amir Hatami, Iran's Defense Minister, is dead. He threatened to destroy Tel Aviv.

Just spoke with my buddy in Dubai. In the last 40 mins he's heard around 12 "thuds" and has seen some footage of some damage. They think most of it is from the interceptors and the remnants of the incoming missiles rather than landed strikes but it's hard to tell. They are currently sheltering in place and keeping as much concrete as possible between them and the out doors. Pretty scary stuff.

This was a long time coming, hopefully the people in Iran take advantage of this once in a life time opportunity. Lebanon and Israel have a real chance to breathe on its own terms instead of being somebody elses front line. Hezbollah, even in 2026, is trying desperately to hold onto power and something like this might just be enough where they finally get kicked out for good. I don't care if they have deep roots in Lebanon, they need to stop receiving training and financial support from Iran one way or another.

sorry if this is a stupid question. trump said this is to stop them having a nuclear bomb. could they launch one even if it's not fully developed? or do they simply not have that ability?

Don't get this. What's the point of sheltering during missile strikes? If anything it worsens your chances I think. Buildings just get turned into rubble. The blast AND the concrete will hit you. (unless you have access to some mega building and you are in the bottom floor I guess.)

Conceptually the rumor is that they wanted to use the remaining enriched uranium to create dirty bombs. They are not truly explosive bombs but they cause huge contamination. And technically if you give them to various terrorist groups, it can be quite dangerous.

if you get hit then you're fucked but i think it's better to stay inside. chances are you won't get hit and at least you're some what protected.

I missed out on this and didnt know till like 4 or 5 am checking my phone a war started. It looks like it started around 1 or 2 am in the morning EST.

Pretty said. That's Iran for ya. Attack whatever country nearby. On TV, they said Kuwait's airport got hit slightly with something (I dont remember if it was a drone or missile). Attacking civilian airports is nuts. Lucky for countries in the mid east it's present day. The US or Israel dont go around destroying airports, utilities and bridges. They could if they wanted to, but hold off on that. If this was WWII, everyone was carpet bombing cities with bombers like nobody cared.

It's better than being in the wide open I guess. Some protection is better than none.

He's lived through several wars and this was a key survival tactic he learned from childhood. I think it's key to reducing injury (particularly from glass) than wholly eliminating it.
