Cool, but most likely there's going to be a day one patch for it to shine in all its glory.

More like wow, some rando who's most likely going to troll everyone on there about issues that really aren't that big of a deal...which will then spread like wildfire to every game bubble forum for meltdowns to ensue.

Can't wait!

When you clear a camp, bodies despawn from the enemies you've killed after you wipe the enemies out. Meaning you have to leave an enemy or two alive so you can loot, unless you want to lose it. Or just loot during battle.

That would drive me crazy.

- it is not a narrative focused game, not an RPG. It's much better than Black Desert in narrative, but not close to say Witcher 3 or Kingdom Come. It's mostly about epic moments and battles.

- Combat is INCREDIBLE. He's never seen such combat on a large scale. Like a character action game (DMC, Ninja Gaiden) set in a massive open world

First 2 alone send my hype through the roof.

Reading through the rest though - Sounds exactly like what I was expecting. Critics will give it an 80-85 on Open Critic, due to steep learning curve, messy systems, and lack of quality of life features - But users will love it and it'll be viewed as a masterpiece down the line.

Sounds like it's going to be the ultimate "When it clicks, it fucking hits" game.

And sounds like it absolutely nails the most important things to me in an open world game - Graphics, Atmosphere/Immersion, combat and world design

sounds like an untidy masterpiece.

It's hard to accept that a game with that many great features would only score 80-85. It's beyond ridiculous. I know the media is what it is and they lower the score of studios that are not in their favorite list, but this scoring below Dragon Dogma would be gross.

Knowing how good the combat was in BDO I'm so ready for this. Make it fun, addicting and I'll drop hours into it.

Don't forget most reviewers don't like complex mechanics. Most wanted an easy mode in souls games.

What really matters:

I want the studio to be alive so I can play DokeV. :messenger_grinning_sweat:

unless it's a memory issue, this would be a prime candidate for a quality of life patch...
Same thing with the menus (which from what I've read are a fucking mess).

My opinion: this will be a much better game 6 months/1 year down the line after patching/community suggestions, the day one vanilla experience looks like it's going to be cumbersome / messy, think I'll have to wait on this one, I mean, I got stalker 2 on the PS5 which got released one year later and it's still getting fixed/receiving patches/getting overhauled.

I'm just tired of day one experiences at this point, white bother when you can have a much better product a few months later ?

Some people at the preview event struggled to get past the tutorial puzzles without the help of devs, and at least half of them are still probably better at video games than games journalists, so I'd be prepared to see more than the average amount of random 4/10 scores among the 7,8, and 9 scores it gets given.

Well, I think I'm full in on the hype at this point. I just watched another video that was talking about the combat. Also the complexity of the controls. It might overwhelm me at first, but I'm hoping this is going to be something I can tackle.

The fact that you can pick someone up and helicopter toss them off a ledge or suplex them sold me. The combat looks incredible, now that I've seen more. Also the way you can Mega Man learn abilities looks great.

I think you are probably right, but I have not found a game in my backlog that is calling to me, so this is going to be it. I'm going to rough it, for better or worse.

I'd say 400K CCU is happening considering the hype. And maybe more than 550K if the game stick the landing.

The good thing about single player games is not having to worry about servers and queue's. Couldn't even log into Diablo 4 earlier.

No matter the complexity of this one, it's impossible that turns out as "obtuse" and counterintuitive as Demons Souls in 2009. That one slapped everyone's faces.

This is too high IMO. It should sell 5M or more to reach that figure.

Sure it's a big number but remember Black Myth? No one saw that coming or at least not like this:

But a mix of Dragon's Dogma/Assassin's Creed with a bit of Zelda and RDR II has a massive potential. Again, it needs to stick the landing but if it's the case I can see the first week-end being really big.

Wish this had cross save between PC and PS5. Looked it up and it seems like it only has cross save between Microsoft store and Xbox since it's play anywhere.

Never played that, but it really looks incredible here, esp for an open world game.

Nailing atmosphere + combat is extremely rare imo. if they really nail both ill be playing this game for a very long time

he's 100% right, it will be a much better game in 6 months time lol

But for me, part of the experience is jumping in during the hype train. I want to see the game in its rawest form while it's still a little rough around the edges. Sometimes it's more fun playing before all the patches smooth everything out.

Ok. I was 7/10 excited but I just watched a VoD of Grimmmz's gameplay while he gave his impressions. 11/10 now. Besides a couple of things that mods will fix, this is looking insane. I'm not tapping A or X to run like in RDR 2. First thing to go. The no stash and small inventory are up in the air. I'll test that out first. He also advised the movement if very Red Dead 2. Enertia plays a factor. Could be good or bad. We'll see.

If it was made by fromsoft or nintendo it would probably score much higher.

You know what, I went from calling this snake oil to actually being hyped for it then more I've seen and heard about it. So yeah, Day 1 for me. Looks awesome.

Cool news, here are the release times, and there's pre-load.

Uncool news: game has fucking Denuvo.

Ive been really skeptical about this game, I'm fully in now though, only thing missing is a bit of T&A but I can look past that ha.

Looking forward to using my Pro properly for the first time in a while.

If denuvo manage to fuck up the performance they are gonna lose their face after all this bragging about optimization.

Yeah. I am not familiar with their engine and optimization but adding Denuvo to an already demanding open world might decreases performance which is the last thing these guys should want
