Crimson Desert |OT| We've Got Quest(ion)s

Does anyone know if the control scheme can be customized on console?

I'm not a fan of holding X to sprint, I'd like to change it to L3 or a shoulder button if possible.

Not sure about in game, but you can do it at a console level if needed.

Another benefit of having the Edge (or another controller with back buttons) is that it does offer some alternative.

Posting this here because Denuvo HAS an impact:

1) Denuvo is making call and stress the CPU more so IT HAS an impact on performance. You can't add stuff running in background and expect performance to stay the same.
2) "But this cracked version is running the same as the legit one with Denuvo!". Yes, that's because Denuvo is NOT cracked but bypassed. The calls made by the DRM are still present, so performance remains essentially the same.
3) Just by principle, you should be against these DRM.
Your CPU would have to be a potato from like a decade ago for it to have any observable effect. Digital Foundry has tested this.

Wow....a 48GB update? That update is as big as some full games.

Not really, in games like Jedi Survivor it worsen the stuttering and frame pacing for example because devs don't know how to code anymore. There is a few examples of somehow "correct" implementation (mind you it will always, ALWAYS be better not to have Denuvo) but it's no excuse.
And again, just by principle you should be against these DRM. There is absolutely no benefit for the user. None.

Also the latest version of Denuvo is making an insane amount of calls, it's ridiculous seriously and we reached a point were stuff like this is happening: https://overclock3d.net/news/softwa...unter-wilds-stutter-with-drm-anti-tamper-fix/
BTW you should't look only at the raw number of FPS but also frame pacing etc... DRM are shit, and I really don't get why anyone would want to defend it in any way.

Yeah I know it can be done in the PS menu but it's a pain in the ass switching back and forth. I'm hoping that the PS6 or a future update has the option to have set control binds per game while not affecting the console ui defaults.

That would be an awesome feature.

Does someone have that meme for this game where its a photo of all the games its a cobination of?

Like BOTW + RDR 2 + Monster Hunter + a few others

yes indeed, wow, this is actually crazy lmao
Hell yeah man, and I bet you could still throw in Assassins Creed and Tekken if you wanted to.

When it comes to scope the game seems amazing. So much packed into a single game, it's crazy.

Yeah, things like dynamic switch to another character on the fly like GTA6, farm and cook and craft, dynamic pricing of goods on the market, send camp followers for missions, all features of a resource management game.

Clearing out space for that 150GB on one of my SSD drives.
I'm still playing Resident Evil Requiem so I don't want to delete that.
High on Life 2, Borderlands 4?
Also just downloaded Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 on Gamepass
So many giant sized games. Somethings got to go.

Alright I caved and preordered and am officially on the hype train. I look forward to getting 40-50 hours into this and not finishing it like i do with most huge games. Lets gooooo!

Does it require AVX2 on CPU side? Not that it has any chance of running acceptably on my ol PC, lol.
