sure whatever makes you happy. but still doesnt change anything. you said "
Developers won't be able to stop a large amount of gamers calling their art 'A.I. slop' due to usage of DLSS5, that is what I am saying."
and I said yes agree 100% ( even though I dont agree about the AI slop ), i do agree that you have the opinion to call them that or whatever you want for using DLSS5 ( which i think is really stunning ) But your opinion or mine, wont change the outcome. Devs are on board. Nvidia behind this fully. whatever you like it or not, it wont change the outcome. but...
ok. lol
Yeah the Fifa one was quite mehThat FIFA example is the worst. Player went from "hey it's Virgil van Dijk" to

I didnt really debate you though. was just replying to the comment that you think gamers think its up to them to determine if a game is "losing its visual identity" . which I still stand by what I said. it was really the artists at capcom that thought this looks good on DLSS5. we still cant control that outcome. So you agree with what I said, then debated me on something I never said or argued about. Probably because you thought I was an A.I./DLSS5 hater? Which I'm not, I'm really impressed with the tech. I was just speculating on what the haters will say.
Large amount of "gamers" didn't like dlss or frame generation.
Now same large amount of "gamers" use those two almost constantly and rage if game doesn't support them.
When AMD added FSR it was "a total win fucking nvidia." and whole artificial frames/lolresolution completely died off.
It's basically mix of people who don't have nvidia or won't be able to use it (console gamers) feeling threatened. Once it arrives to them they will change 180.
Exactly. Plus the downloaded opinion hivemind effect.Because…
1. This is Nvidia's tech. Not AMD. PS and Xbox use AMD.
2. This is running on 2x RTX 5090. Not 1x 3070Ti which is what majority on PC use according to Steam stats.
3. This hints where Nvidia is heading, they will leave local computation in the dust, this is a tech for AI server, essentially GeForce Now highest tier subs.
4. This is using AI. People simply hate AI.
Guess that lighting also changed his skin tone and mouth..It litterally is just lighting change, are you serious?
They dont have time. Maybe in the next Pro console, but probably PS7.It'll be hilarious when everyone's favourite console makers implements this next gen or following gen and suddenly it'll be ground breakingwe all know AMD will have something like or chase something similar to this going forward.
Guess that lighting also changed his skin tone and mouth..

I removed the green text boxes from the image.
These are the best graphics i've seen in my life, have mercy on my graphic whoring soul, lord.
No the physics of the world are irrelevant. This is a social justice / virtue signalling thing.Well you can litterally see it for yourself :

Yeah the skin tone will change under different lighting conditions, even prior to DLSS 5...

And your favorite YouTubers are already taking a shit on the tech.
Don't worry. Once AMD releases their inferior version of this tech in a few years we'll hear about how awesome it is. There will be tons of videos praising it and showing ways to mod it into older titles using optiscaler or something.it's like the Sonic Cycle but for Nvidia tech.
Nvidia announce new tech > AMD/Console users downplay it > AMD/Sony announces their own version and AMD/Console users celebrate > AMD/Sony's version is released, it's called a gamechanger for finally catching up to Nvidia years later > Repeat.
This has been true for Ray Reconstruction this week too with Crimson Desert. No one will say it looks wrong or is just higher contrast once PS6 can do RR.
The Dragon Pattern is all wrong
I don't know how people can say the grace or the starfield DLSS5 updates aren't better.
Judging from the posts on Twitter, I think it's political, Anti anything AI derangement syndrome.
How can you look at the Starfield ones especially and say it looks worse ?

What if you understand that people are having a negative reaction because it looks like shit now. And this stuff isn't new people have been pumping gameplay and screenshots through AI image generators for a while now. What if, instead of listening to silly Youtubers, imagine the game released exactly like those DLSS 5.0 shots : would you feel the same? I mean your eyes are used to what we currently have now.
Think about future games implementing this.
So set your resolution to 8k on your 5090 and turn DSS5 down to DLSS4.5.I'll take legit ps3 graphics over AI slop looking graphics.
Use the dual RTX 5090's to give me 8K, not this.
I don't think It's about a hivemind here, I mostly think people realize they won't be able to access it. So then it's "shit". Fox and the grapes.Exactly. Plus the downloaded opinion hivemind effect.
The idea that both pics look like shit never crossed your mind?I don't think It's about a hivemind here, I mostly think people realize they won't be able to access it. So then it's "shit". Fox and the grapes.
Nobody in their right mind should prefer the left here. Right looks like a remake.

not even DLSS 25 can improve that.
I cant belive an "option" a "fucking option" is getting such pushback.I don't think It's about a hivemind here, I mostly think people realize they won't be able to access it. So then it's "shit". Fox and the grapes.

Thats only because the other half is too stupid to turn off an option?Half will say this, yes, the other half will bitch about the game 'losing it's visual identity' or 'ruining the vision of the developer', or 'being an expensive pile of shit', etc.
How?The end of stylized graphics?
AI Grace be hot af tho.
It's early days, but it's basically dynamic tone mapping, sharpness turned up and contrast turned up in how the colours turn out. It's lost evidence of where the light source came on and comes across as if they've got a light shining in their face. Neither are good, but there's valid issues with DLSS5 in that picture. One is an optional improvement over the other and can be had for free provided they manage to make it run smoothly on a single GPU. What's the problem with that? He's right people be hating for no reason.
Dude at 2pm yesterday you where literaly singing Dlss5 tune. Wtf?Lmao so the devs from these studios worked on this and turned in those horrendous AI clips?
Yep, they all sabotaged this on purpose. I bet the artists went out of their way to make it look as AI slop as possible and nvidia was so clueless that they didn't even realize it was on purpose.
I wonder if they all colluded in secret or if they all had the same idea. Absolutely hilarious.

You're right that it's optional but that doesn't mean people can't point out the flaws while it's WIP.
I get that it's WIP so will get better. It's not. AI is thoght how light works and sees image and "base truth" and corrects mistakes. Anyone who deals with lighting in post processing literally does that. So it is not simple filter sharpness up, contrast up and so on. Filters don't generate light bounces, proper AO and so on. This is why DLSS5 looks so uncanny. It applies proper lighting to scenes and you end up with super realistic lighting that has still old models, animations and so on. The closer you are to realism the easier is to spot things that don't match in scene.
Also this is still work in progress so not even 1.0
There will be 2.0, 3.0 and so on in coming years. I fully expect in 2-3 years there will be anime DLSS model, real model etc. so you can literally swap out graphics as you want.
Well you can litterally see it for yourself :

I don't see her skin tone change, I do see shadows and light intensity change on the pictures.
Also the other dudes in that NVIDIA comparison don't change complexion. The algorithm clearly just guesses what his face looks like, but everything from his nose down doesn't match anymore.
I know how Virgil van Dijk looks like. Millions of FC/FIFA players know as well, they rather have the before Virgil than the after version.
I think the technique is very impressive, but I see why they'd show it on Bethesda games, where the characters are always facing you. I bet when they turn their head the illusion breaks or you get some different face.
The other examples (FIFA and Resident Evil) are all static images. I wonder why...
Could be another Killzone 2 situationWonder how much latency this adds to the rendering pipeline.
