So wait, the 15 year old is going to be killable? As in, she can die by getting eaten by zombies?

Is that......allowed? I don't know.

Really really loved this trailer.

Got a I Am Legend vibe mixed with Ellen Page feeling.

Good stuff Naughty Gods!

So 2 teams means Uncharted gets a break and Jak and Daxter will return for a new game on the PS3 right? And this team will go UC4 on PS4 after The Last of Us?

I keep staring at that gif in the OP and it keeps being beautiful.

Seriously. I mean, I can understand people preferring U2, but U3 is not a bad game at all, and is absolutely up to the same standards as U2.

Yeah its not a bad game. But like Skyward Sword, it has a few mind boggling design decisions in areas that were much better in UC2. For some people they were a deal breaker (not me).

So in a game that apparently features both human and zombie-like enemies that aren't really zombies people are whining because it has zombies? And UC3 wasn't a good game? The trolls are out in full force in this thread.

So... two teams... and if the dev cycle for Last of Us is the same as the Uncharted series (2 years), does that mean we'll get a new naughty dog game each year?

guessing 1 team is researching/developing tech for PS4
while the other is working on this
so there won't be a big gap in their release cycles

lol. I'm joking, but it would seem odd I guess to have a 15 year old being mauled to death by a zombie in a Naughty Dog game. If you played Uncharted 3, you would see where I was coming from.

you mean
the death animation of young drake??
in it?

How far along could this game possibly be and is ND big enough to handle 2 full scale projects at once?

My guess is that the second team formed shortly after the completion of UC2, putting this game at almost 2 years of development maybe?

UC3 would have been developed while this other game was being worked on too, and judging by how good UC3 is, I would say they can handle 2 at once.

allowed? lmao what?
I think he's referring to the shit storm that would happen in the media if there's a death animation where a 15 year old girl gets decapitated or something.

zombies, I'm so tied of this :(

Crying about zombies, I'm so tired of this...

I can't wait to see more of the game. I really hope Naughty Dog keeps a third person perspective. If it is an FPS, people will ignore it because it isn't Call of Duty. I have faith in Naughty Dog to take the survival horror genre and redefine it. Very exciting to see Naughty Dog make a really violent (blood, gore) game (at least conceptually).

SO is it a TPS or FPS?

Well... my first thought was that FPV would be a waste of their animation. But then, I bet if ND did a FP game they would go all out with the first person body animation and just blow it up... make Mirror's Edge seem a generation behind.

I would prefer a TPV from Naughty Dog, but I bet they could take FPV and hit a home run.

Either way I think I'd be happy, but I suspect it'll be TPV.

I hope this game is a hard R like The Road. As if to show the worst of humanity come out of people - cannibalism, torture, deceit, suicide, and evil dark desires.

Yeah I just thought about it and I assume Sony was so impressed by ND after UC2 that they probably dumped a ton of money into the studio so they have 2 full production teams.

I admit... I totally wasn't expecting Naughty Dog to be developing the game. I pictured Sony Santa Monica developing so I was actually surprised by the developer.

I would have been happy with Santa Monica doing it, but Naughty Dog is fantastic. Geoff Keighley... you win this round.

I seen a documentary about this fungi that ants consume and it manifests inside them and controls them. Awesome idea. So intrigued. Really did wonder what would happen if this fungus evolved and humans were affected. +Naughty Dog, Dizzam!

Hasn't most people? There was really nothing worth celebrating about tonight.

Need to see more of this to be excited. I don't give out blind faith anymore.

No, instead you make generalizations about games you know almost nothing about and whine based on those generalizations.
