Yeah,
if you died by falling off something, they wouldn't show the body falling and hitting the ground. It just goes up and shows nothing.

right i figured you were talking about that. Then again uncharted 3 was a T rated game and if this goes for an M rated game they might decide to put it in.

Hasn't most people? There was really nothing worth celebrating about tonight.

Need to see more of this to be excited. I don't give out blind faith anymore.
Ok so instead of hating on it wait to see more and then hate on it.

Naughty Dog probably saw how incompetent Team ICO were with TLG that they decided to make a game analogous to that, better, and release it within a faster time frame. You play as the girl who replaces the role of the tattoo boy in TLG and the manly man takes the place of the griffon. And like TLG, ending will also be the same :p

I was pretty shocked when I saw ND at the beginning but I'm not particularly excited. I feel like the gunplay is by far the worst part of the Uncharted series and I can't imagine this not having an even greater focus on it than Uncharted. Visually looks great although I don't understand the PS4 comments.. doesn't look any better than UC3.

If you appreciate the look/feel of those outdoor environments though, you really should give Enslaved a shot.

Because we are fucking sick of zombie games.

That's how.

I think people want to know how you can say it's "zombie game". What is a zombie game? I don't care how you define the creauture zombie I just want to know what the gameplay, atmosphere etc are. Is it Left 4 Dead? Dead Island? is it a Resident Evil? What if it's I Am Legend/28 Days Later? Have we seen that too many times in games?

Imagine if this game has some of the "Holy Crap" kind of moments that UC2 had (haven't played UC3 yet).

You're walking along a dark hall, then suddenly the floor cave in and you start sliding down some fungus mother lair type stuff with barnacle shaped things moving all around. And the color, the color is glorious and interesting. They you start saying to yourself, "Holy Crap holycrapholycrap" (Holy Crap is a registered trademark of Naughtydog).

Edit: Also I love zombies, I can go for more please. Better than shooting people I guess, and people won't make threads about the main character being a psychopath ;)

Yeah I just thought about it and I assume Sony was so impressed by ND after UC2 that they probably dumped a ton of money into the studio so they have 2 full production teams.

Yeah, it makes a lot of sense. Uncharted has become one of their best selling franchises now, on the level of God of War. I just can't believe none of us put two and two together and realized they were forming a second team. I mean, I remember being pretty puzzled when the MP director from UC2 was announced as the game director of UC3.

lol. I'm joking, but it would seem odd I guess to have a 15 year old being mauled to death by a zombie in a Naughty Dog game. If you played Uncharted 3, you would see where I was coming from.

As opposed
to having young drake get shot at or fall from roof tops?

Oh sorry my bad.

OMG NAUGHTY GODS GOTY 2012!!!!!!!!

At least people who are excited about Naughty Dog are doing it based on previous experience, you whine based on nothing but generalizations. And as it has been mentioned and ignored repeatedly in this thread the first guy they encounter is a human not a monster.

It will be amazing if this was really Uncharted 4, placed 20 years after U3. An old Nathan Drake with her daughter, after Elena death, trying to survive in a planet where someone finally took out El Dorado.

But is a hidden sequel and there are only hints about their past life, until the credits roll over and it shows the real name of the game: Uncharted 4, the last of us.

I'm sick of Zombies/Zombie-wannabes. I never even liked them in the first place.

Also Uncharted's Zombies were shitacular.
I never got up to that part because UC1 bored me, but it's irrelevant here, we don't know if these "zombies" are going to act anything like those in UC. Shame the theme makes you sick though, this has a big chance to be a great game.

Still without luck
What about them makes you sick

It's the concept of fodder and not really dangerous enemies being thrown at you while you blow them away. It is so tired, lacks almost any creativity and has been done to death.

It just looks like all ND is doing differently is making the zombie model look a different.

I am making a lot of assumptions, sure, but zombie games still sell so why wouldn't they keep making them?

That's an awful lot gathered from just a trailer with so little info.

This sounds like it could be a really cool game, but I'm not sure if it'll be for me. Never been able to finish an entire game with a survival/horror vibe. The short sections in Uncharted games are perfectly-sized for me. After seeing how much I've enjoyed their output on the PS3, though, it'll be hard to resist getting on the hype train.

The idea of a Zombie game does not excite me, but I trust Naughty Dog, and I'm quite sure I'll be all in on this when it's released.

Are they giving any kind of a release window? Are we thinking next fall?

Uncharted 2 director? Holy smokes.

Just tell me whether it's 2012 or 2013 and I'll take my media blackout and go ahead and pre-order.

Some people act as if UC 3 is piece of shit that deserves to be burned.

No, it just had glaring downfalls that blemished the experience and feel like they could have been prevented or fixed with the right resources....that hopefully weren't missing because of a split team.

Easily my favorite western developer this generation, no contest. This game is going to be great because they'll keep throwing money at it until it is.

make sure the pudding isn't too soggy but that just ruins everything

The problem with this argument is that 1) it applies to every shooting game, zombies or no 2) you are clearly disconnected from the realities on modern game design and basing your expectations on something that exists only in your head.

I suspect you will be continuously disappointed.

Unless you can point to an example of some game that actually exists that meets your standards... I'm really curious.

Both? Honestly don't think I've ever really enjoyed a game that happens to be zombie focused. Both left 4 dead games, both dead risings, all the resident evils, the multitude of downloadable games with a zombie focus. Nothing has ever clicked with me. Same with movies and tv zombieland walking dead, the dozens of zombie movies.
I'm the same way unfortunately. Shaun of the Dead is the only zombie/monster thing I've really enjoyed from the zombie/infected/brain dead monster genre, and that was because of the humor.
