The way you word that it seems to imply that Asuka's original plugsuit wasn't classless too.

yyeeeessss
yesssssssss
thank you based E1 (AnimeEigo?)
More proof that the Rebuild series is worse than the original series. Bleh.I dunno man this is a special kind of "classless"
There's a fair bit of fanservice as well in this episode, and sometimes it's used rather skillfully. Lan's reflection is talking to Madoka in the mirror while the camera is zoomed in on something else.

Sequels usually are.I just opened that box.
I don't think anyone actually disagrees with the "sequel" theory, at least at this point.Sequels usually are.I just opened that box.

used goodswould've been classy with rei. asuka is such a slut.

Used goods.
it's a naturalistic approach to fanservice, imo.Nonoriri said:With Rei they skipped the superfetishsuit and went straight to pure nudity!

Yeaaah I'm not regretting not watching this.To be fair Misato and Asuka get in on that action as well, just not as much.

Next episode looks to be going back to the serious stuff, so I'm out. I think I've seen all I want of this show.
savedTo be fair Misato and Asuka get in on that action as well, just not as much.
Too many nots. Double negative. Take away the first one and you're good.
Feels like I never have to watch the movies again now that I have this gif.
I just don't know why can't I muster myself to watch 2.whatever when I loved what they did in the first movie. Maybe I'm just burned out of Evangelion?Yeah it's pretty representative of Rebuild, I better put a spoiler warning on that!
Well yeah, you're not going to let a great parfait like that get away just because you're running away!Bodacous Space Pirates 2

I thought it was nice that she managed to hold onto her banana parfait during the action and finish it off. Chiaki and Marika make a nice team. Curious of what Kane McDougal is doing, thought he, Ririka, and Misa ought to be trying to get her prepared to be a captain.
Moretsu Pirates 02
An episode or two devoted to electronic warfare, instead of jumping into wacky pirate hijinks? Colour me impressed, most anime seems to gloss over hard science fiction elements like that.
I don't think there's anything here I could agree with at all, as my review above should make clear. Well, you are right that the pacing is a bit slow, but that's because they want to put in some detail and not just skip from action scene to action scene, and fortunately they know how to do the slow scenes well too, because this was a great episode.I am open to the idea of Bodacious Space Pirates, but what's here just...isn't fun. The characters are unmemorable and uninteresting. Each of them has nothing to say, and no memorable features. They kind of try to be stereotypes, but they are so generic and lifeless that they fail to even become anything more than figures that belong far off in the background.
Worst of all the show is plodding along at the worst speed, and nothing of any significance has really happened in the two episodes so far. And the things that actually do occur in the show are just rendered uninteresting by the very vanilla flavor of the show. Like, how are mini-skirts in zero-g this boring? How do you mess up something like that? There is just no spark or creativity to the show, and the awful CG certainly doesn't help in that regard. All I can see when I watch this show is some sad staff member sitting down at a desk and thinking, "Ughhhhhhh, another day slaving away at this stupid space pirate show."
I started Hiroshima in Morning a while back, and I was so disinterested that I ended up reading The Great Game: The Struggle for Empire in Central Asia instead. That in turn was a rousing read, full of daring men doing awesome shit, set against a cold war of sorts that the British were locked into with Russia for continental control. Anyone who's fond of badass histories should look into it.
I'll probably start Let the Great World Spin by Colum McCann next.
Yep. Although YKK moreso, because they are basically living through the extinction of the human race.
Lodoss War is okay, but it's so, so cliche... I've never really been a fan. I mean, it's okay, but nothing really special.Record of Lodoss War - 1

I have now all my anime DVDs and some VHS cassettes (even I have no VHS player anymore), so I can watch all the classics. Who needs new animes?
The opening song is classy - http://youtu.be/p2vxlZkfW-Y
Nice animations especially for people with a faible for hair animations.
I adore the ED. Was the tv series any good? I've had the dvds forever but never bothered to watch it.
I really look how NOT-CLAMP the Blood-C movie looks; definite improvement over the Clampish look of the TV show. The more we get away from Clamp's style, the better.

yeah, i think i'm done with watching terrible shows for a while... well, at least until the next ep of guilty crown airs.
But what did you think about the ED?Kill Me Baby 1
Not only did I not laugh, once, but my ability to process humour may have been so irreparably damaged that I might not ever laugh again.

Unlike the Gurren Lagann movies,Yeaaah I'm not regretting not watching this.
Taraku-desgned high school students making a movie also reminds me of another work from more than 10 years ago.Ano Natsu de Matteru: The most anticipated show of the season, and it doesn't disappoint. Take the artist and writer of the Onegai series coupled with the director of AnoHana and the result is a pure romantic comedy/drama reminiscent of a time when such things could still be awesome. With a premise that is essentially Onegai Teacher: The Remake, one can definitely see that J.C. Staff pulled out all the stops in making this series tug on the nostalgia strings of viewers of series. From putting I've Sound in charge of the music, to having the opening song emulate the musical themes of the original series, to even recreating the key characters that exemplified the original Onegai Teacher (and in Lemon's case, using the same seiyuu as well!), they made it clear what their objective was. For those who enjoyed those series, it's akin to stepping into a time warp. The easiest complaint that could be levied against the series is that it does nothing new, and is a pitiful attempt at using a blueprint 10-years old in order to replicate its success for the new generation... but who cares? For the old, it's a type of storytelling that has been too long forgotten, and for the new, it is a chance to finally see how the genre is meant to be done.

Depends on the timeline. It's inconsequential information, but I still don't know what year Rinne no Lagrange takes place in.its a devolution from plug suits imo

Fairly boring, I guess this takes a while until it starts to really pick up.

Just letting you guys know that I'm turning in my mancard for review and possible termination.
I can't marathon Sailor Moon. Before you repossess my balls, please recall that I successfully marathon'd RahXephon, Black Lagoon, Macross (everything), Yu Yu Hakusho, Lain, Last Exile, Full Metal Panic (everything), Baccano, Crest/Banner of The Stars, and LOGH. This last failure does not define me.
It's too late, you've been logged in the AnimeGAF database.
You've fuckin' marathoned more than me, dawg

That was just recently.
Blue Gender, Ippo, Gundam stuff, Kenshin, Geass, TTGL, Elfen Lied... All I watch is marathons. And it can't possibly be healthy.
Nothing made me more bitter than RahXephon though.
I remember marathoning ippo
those were the best anime days of my life
It's impliedRinne no Lagrange 2
It is nice to have a character that's not entirely angst, and/or revenge based, as awesome as they are when done right, but the flipside is kind of annoying. There's no rhyme or reason to Madoka's actions, no motivation, and it's making the whole show seem incredibly awkward. She's told to do, and she does with a giggle, smile, and a knock on the head.
In one sense, it's the more natural of portrayals; a 14-15 year old girls against an interstellar organization is going to have almost no say, and get but the most filtered of info, but she doesn't even ask for that much. She's not just genki, she's dull.
Next weekend, I marathon Macross 7.
It's impliedshe treated piloting the mech as yet another sport, and her reason to continue piloting was merely out of obligation to repay that favor.
Now whether or not it's an acceptable reasoning is another thing.
Next weekend, I marathon Macross 7.
You're missing the point. What is the reasoning/motivation for why Madoka agrees to pilot it in the first place, not why she can pilot it.The show makes it pretty clear she's piloting the Vox Aura because it shot her in the ass when she was drowning 10 years ago and she remembers that she's more or less bound to it, and it to her now. Though she wasn't privy to the conversation, when they were talking about it in the control room, they specifically said that once "Memoria" is established between Vox and pilot, only that person can pilot it from that point forward.
I get some Xenoglossia vibes from the relationship that Madoka has with her giant robot. I'm guessing this robot won't be Madoka's boyfriend though.
