Yeah yesterday that wasn't the case beyond that strip fumble by Osi or Tuck or whoever that was.
It was a case of the WRs/RBs dropping the ball.
When you hold the ball out and don't secure it, you're going to fumble.
It's disingenuous to argue that defense wasn't hugely important this weekend. Niners gave up 32 points, yes, but they also forced five turnovers and had the Saints hearing footsteps all day. That's defense.
Baltimore gave up a bunch of yards to Foster but had three picks.
Saying the Niners defense isn't as good as the '85 Bears is a lazy comparison. It's a different league and that's an all time defense. The Packers this year weren't as good as the Greatest Show on Turf either, but that doesn't take away from what they did.
"Defense wins championships" Is kind of a false statement. Here's a better one.
You can't win on one side of the ball.
Been saying it all year - Packers D was shit, so when the Offense sputtered (as offenses will do) the Packers had nothing to back themselves up with. It's silly to think that any team can play 19 games of flawless offense.
Well put. It's why Houston fans should be bummed out for a long time. A healthy Texans team is the most well rounded in the league.
