Is it too late to hop on the 49ers bandwagon? They remind me of the Skins: a powerhouse of the 80s gone through rough times in recent years due to a change in ownership. Also on a personal level, I have been told before that I have small hands. With Tebow proving to be a false messiah I just really need something/someone to believe in.

I see it now. This man is the truth.

His hands are so small that girl has to help him hold that beer :(

My vision of the game goes like this:

About 4 minutes into the game when all the fans are good and sleepy from the boredombowl, a HERO appears. The one man who can save us from this game of evils. He races across the field, leaving destruction in his wake. He parts the earth and sends all of the sinners to H-E-double hockeysticks!

Someone needs to find a proper GIF of this scene and photoshop Roethlisberger's head over Bane's.

Free avatar for whoever wants it for after next week's games:

Also, I'm heading to Vegas next weekend. Betting on:

Baltimore/New England under 50
Giants +2.5

WRs with weird J names have the worst hands in all of football.

Jermichael
Jacoby

That's all the evidence I need.

Yes I know he's a TE, fuck you.

49ers aren't getting much love in the media. Just the way we like it.

Big surprise. We won't get much love if we make it to the superbowl either. Somehow I think they'll even make excuses if we manage to win the superbowl, about how we didn't win it, the other team lost it.

Has anyone seen if the NFL has explained why they are talking about hiring full time officials - but only 10 of them? When there are potentially 16 games a week, that means 6 games without a full time ref...wha?

They should hire at least 32 who are full-time all the time and then have 16 dedicated booth officials paired up with 2 full timers on each squad reviewing every play just like college does.

Ya, sounds about right. Not sure if you listen to the BS Report but it was unanimous that everyone expects Patriots/Gints.

Mike Martz retires.

He's said nothing but how much he'd like to stay in GB. I wasn't paying attention to twitter yesterday, but I guess people were giving both him and his wife a bunch of shit last night (http://mike-freeman.blogs.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/6264363/34420856).

I can understand the joke because all the shit he gets on twitter about the drops clearly gets to him, but <24 hours after the game isn't exactly the best timing for it.

All joking aside, he strikes me as the type of guy that shouldn't be on twitter as he doesn't appreciate how much weight his word carries. I remember thinking the same thing after the super bowl photo nonsense last year too.

May as well since Finley just made it clear he wants out.

Saints had to deal with that all through 2009. It worked out well for the team.
I would honestly cheer for the 49ers going to the SB if my Saints werent in their division formerly and I didnt hate them so fucking much. They are a good story. However, fandom is fandom and your team is dead to me.

Martz was never going to get a HC job or probably even a OC job after burning so many bridges, so it was time to hang it up. He'll be great on TV. I hope he stays the same. He is very much like Mike Leach in how clever and biting he can be with criticism, but is a much better speaker than Leach.

Of course Gruden is going to be the next Madden by being a total tool who says nothing, so if Martz wants on TV he'll have to be a good boy

Heard this and I love it. I like being the underdog. Pats are getting too much love. It stems from last weeks game. Baltimore didn't look great, but Houston's D is good, and from halftime on, Baltimore didn't allow a point.

People seem to forget that the Patriots did not beat a team with a winning record ( no I don't count Denver) while Baltimore was 6-0 against playoff teams. How is this game being so unanimously decided already? I can't wait to give the media the dick and put Baltimore and our tiny fan base into the spotlight.

Too bad they don't show the games in prisons.
