Is Herzlich questionable to play?
If he's practicing and comes through without a setback, he'll play. However, I doubt he plays much at linebacker. Pure special teams for the guy. Boley/Kiwi/Williams have been holding it down pretty good at LB for us over the past four weeks.

Houston/ Tennessee is a rivalry like Cleveland/ Baltimore is a rivalry. In other words, one side calls is a rivalry, the other side pencils it in as a W.

Yeah keep on talking man, we're due for a win somewhere in the next 4 years. The odds are with me, you know it to be true.

You think he'll be much of anything with some experience?
Tough to tell with such a small sample size thus far this season. He made some coverage mistakes in the game against Philly, the only game he started. Which is easy to forgive seeing as he's a rookie. However, I thought he was stout against the run though and played hard. He had his nose in as many tackles as he could find and did a pretty good job reading the offenses that were thrown at him. He doesn't have the speed he used to have but I felt he played better in the middle than Greg Jones who I was really positive on coming out of camp.

With time and experience, I think both he and Jones could end up being something for us. Reese seems to have hit pretty good with Jacquian Williams in the 6th round. He seems to like these South Florida guys (JPP and Williams).

I cant believe giants are in the championship game. Seriously. 9-7.

And wont be surprise at all if they go to the superbowl. Must be great to be a giant fan, beat your biggest rival to sneak into the playoffs, win two playoff games , including beating of the defending champion on the road.

Congrats to Giant Gaf.

The stomping of the Jets is part of that run for me as well. Giants essentially had two "playoff" games to end the regular season.

I don't see how it's so unbelievable; the Packers did the same thing the year before (10-6). The Cardinals got hot and made the Super Bowl.

You guys scoffed when I said the Giants were gonna do damage.

Seriously just happy to have watched the team make it this far. If this is another magical playoff run ala '07 than even better and I'll be on cloud nine. If it ends this weekend, then so be it. The team has so far exceeded my expectations.

I said way back that I thought this could be a ten win team (they weren't) and I felt that if we made it to the playoffs we could make noise (we have) but I frankly didn't expect to get past Green Bay. Especially considering how well the Packers had been playing.

I'm hoping for the ultimate icing on the cake in the way of another Lombardi trophy but to complete the analogy - the cake has been pretty fucking delicious so far.

Giants are a lot like last years Packers.
Faced adversity, pushed through. Defense playing well, got hot at the right time.

Packers on the other hand - "take heed lest ye fall". Put way too much stock on Neal replacing Jenkins.
Got a little cocky. Can't win when things are so unbalanced.

But those damn Patriots will try.

It was more of a shot at Cleveland. Although, I get the impression that Tennessee could give a shit.

I just realized something. Baltimore is better than New England and is totally going to win this game. Why is no one talking about this.

Also heard on the radio today that Baltimore will be expected to be big players in the Peyton Manning market if we don't win this game. So even if we lose, we win.

No one is talking about it because if push came to shove we will root for the cRavens but deep down we are wishing for a tsunami or something to wipe out both teams.

The Ravens are a bad road team.

I'm rooting for Baltimore simply because they're playing the Patriots. Asside from that, I don't think anyone gives a shit about the team one way or another, playoffs or no playoffs. They're like the Brewers of the NFL.

I'm rooting for Baltimore so none of the super offense / no defense teams have a chance of winning the Super Bowl. Although this could produce the dreaded Giants vs Ravens Super Bowl rematch, which makes me throw up a little bit in my mouth just thinking about it.

Oh my God, I just got hard remembering that game.

It's mainly because their defense stopped under performing. They've always had a lot of talent on the team. Now they are finally living up to the talent.

WAIT.... WHAT!? No way that happens.... Or its just crazy enough to be true the Joe can learn from a better coach. Just thought would make Ed and Ray stay for at least 2 more years. Bring Saturday as well just incase Birk wants to retire.

Worst Super Bowl party ever. It was just depressing from beginning to end.

Nobody. I've lamented that both the AFCS and NFCW are basically dumping ground divisions that have no chance at ever developing lasting rivalries. It's more than being bad teams or having a singular dominant team. There's nothing non-football that ties the cities.

Getting the Rams in LA would help, but there's nothing that will help the AFCS. The teams are so far flung

An easy fix would be switching the Colts and the Dolphins, with the former in the East and the later in the South. The Rams in LA would work out well too. St. Louis is definitely a large enough city to support an NFL franchise though, the best geographical fit would be the NFC North, but I don't see any of those teams switching divisions.

Best defensive team I've ever seen, I loved watching the Ravens play that year.

I still remember Wellie not liking the Nicks pick at all cause he wanted an LB

Don't worry Wellie hindsight is 20/20!

I was dead set on trading for Braylon Edwards, Once the Jets traded up to get Sanchez, that was dead as I figured they had more than enough picks. (Is it me or do the Browns always trade down?) After that I just wanted an LB. I guess it's a good thing I'm not a GM!

Choice quotes:

FUCK YOU JETS I FUCKING HATE YOU FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We just got FUCKED big time by the Jets.

Goddammit.

FUCK

This probably breaks the Edwards/Giants deal. Fuck you Browns!

Gotta go with Rey. He is the best player on the board.

Argh....

Could have been set at LB for years to come.

Hit more than twice and he'll start running into sacks! Search your soul Larry, you know it to be true!

I'm going to give you guys credit, you're pass rush was awesome last week. You have some real young talent there. New England does not have that. People are forgetting that the Ravens played a top tier D last week. Were we supposed to win by 35 pts? Also, we gave up 13 points, that's a good defensive performance.

I'll say it again, next week comes down to one thing: Can our (much better than Denver's) defense make Brady look human, and can New England's (much worse than Houston's) defense make Joe Flacco look elite?
