Artist has already come up with a pretty clever idea for the dynamic portion of the map, but I won't mention it here just in case someone (other than me) wants to steal it.
First to get their cart to flip wins?

Why?
Hammer is relatively simple. There are some basic tutorials in the OP. I've only messed around with control point maps though, never payload, so I'm sure that will be a headache. How easy/hard is it to pick up Hammer? I can add that to the list of things to learn but never do.
No collaboration allowed. Besides, that's not how procrastination works. It's a multiplicative effect on a fraction. More procrastinators reduces the amount of effort put in.Just think, if all us procrastinators got together, we could equal the effort of one person.

There are medals involved. IN-GAME medals (not real ones). There is also, potentially, money involved if Valve decides to make your map official.Maybe people wouldn't procrastinate if hats were involved? Lololol
I played Lazytown once, years after it was first made. Some amount of time after I uninstalled TF2.
Map contest sounds fun. If I wasn't a procrastinator as well I'd probably go for it.
Map making is hard because I'm so detail oriented that I just want to make things cool before I make them good. Like I had this idea of a GAF map based on GAF itself where it's a building with different floors and each floor is a different sub-forum. And then the last point is on the top floor and it's the mod lounge, with velvet furniture and Persian rugs and oil paintings of mod's avatars on the walls. And from the outside the building looks like the index page of the forum.
How on earth did you get your tag?
Lots of games on Steam do that for some reason.Game keeps crashing after quitting.
Dedication, perseverance, and tuition.
You're telling me, if I make a gaf themed tf2 map, I'll get mad pussy?
Brickyard isn't Lazytown?

Not with that ugly hat!

We shouldn't even be having this conversation. I make it a point not to interact with people who aren't even on the first page of the stats site.
I'm afraid that it'll evoke the same response out of me.
Are you one of those people who hates trying new things so much that he lets it cloud his judgment of said things and ends up hating them regardless of whether or not he would otherwise enjoy them?
That's a rhetorical question, by the way.
Hey, I keep championing Croissant and Antiquity, don't I?
I'm just a guy that goes with his gut too much, and I already took three leaps of faith on entertainment in the last two weeks.
When I see something that is just print 'hello world' it just makes me think of my 10 year old self and basic. I really wish I would have been around when you'd copy code out of magazines into your little commodore. I think I would have had a lot of fun with that, but I guess that was before my time.

Machine Language: Factors
The commands to prepare the computer to enter Program 2, the VIC and 64 version of the machine language factoring routine from the January "Machine Language" column (p. 178), should read:
POKE 4608, 0 : POKE 44, 18 : NEW
Commodore Files For Beginners, Part 3
On page 193 of the January issue, lines 340, 350, and 360 should have a semicolon (following the CHR$(13).

What a Pyrofest! Man, I need a Phlogistinator.
Peripherals in 1999?
I'm legit curious
Artist saying making TF2 maps is pretty easy is like Uwe Boll saying making movies is pretty easy.
I find that I'm so bad at being a spy that I tend to get about equal kills with the revolver when I play. Being able to see people's health makes it so much easier too.To be positive about the recent steadily increasing Pyro concentrations, I guess it makes good practice for dealing with spy-paranoid Pyros? If you can deal with five Pyros running around hunting for spies and not extinguishing people you should easily be able to deal with only one or two.
For example, I've gotten better at gunning Pyros down with the revolver now that I'm forced to practice more. A common mistake people make is to treat spies as defenseless once they miss a stab/are identified. They still have a fairly powerful gun that can deal more damage than people expect. It's always amusing when I gun down an overzealous Scout or silly razorback Sniper trying to melee me.
In my opinion the revolver is one of the most underated and underused weapons in the game. A lot of times you can pick people off without having to commit to a stab and kill people that would have otherwise escaped.

Does anyone actually enjoy CTF rounds? People seem to complain about playing payload so often around here but I'd rather play 20 rounds of pl or plr than a round of CTF. Winning CTF is directly proportional to how many engineers you have on your team who are willing to be bored out of their minds for 10-15 minutes.
I like 2fort so that I can sticky jump caber troll the snipers on the enemy team, but that's about it. TF2 doesn't really work for CTF despite it being my favourite thing in the previous TFs. PL is only dumb because of heavies though.Does anyone actually enjoy CTF rounds? well, your map has a point. There is no point to an Uwe Boll movie. There are many things that can be implied here, but, don't compare me to Uwe Boll :'(
CTF, like most modes, hinges on the map design. Of the stock CTF maps, only doublecross is any good. There are decent to good custom CTF maps and I'm a fan of CTF Football mode, so those maps I also enjoy.Does anyone actually enjoy CTF rounds? I did tell you. I TOLD YOU ALL!Why didn't people tell me the Widowmaker was awesome? I went 31-12 on Turbine.

I agree, excepting of gunslinger engineers.I like doublecross. I think even 2fort is fun as long as there's no more than one engineer per team. Basically more than one engineer per team on any CTF map means I'd probably rather not play it.
