The Skin I Live In
All I can say is wow. The second best movie of last year. I'm stunned.

Aw yeah, great movie. I love reading people's reactions, good and bad. I think it might be my second favorite of Almodovar's that I have seen, though I will have to watch it at least once more to be sure. The Skin I Live In

"Gaffers - I'm on a self-imposed GAF exile, so tell everyone that I thought Melancholia was INTERMINABLY boring and pretentious. "
The Next Three Days 4.5/5
Watched Billy Wilders Sunset Boulevard and double indemnity for the first time in my life. I have to say, both are pretty brilliant. Personally I prefer sunset because I really liked how the humor and the drama were in constant Interplay.

It was like that bad part of TTRL that ruined the movie, except for the entire movie.lol, I knew you'd hate it after your reaction to TTRL. This is why you don't listen to ducktroll!
Snowman quit GAF?

The Naked Kiss (1964)
I was expecting a racy, low-budget, neo-noir given the films rating and ended up bitterly disappointed. Turns out it's just about a former prostitute working in a children's ward. I'm not sure if it was progressive for its time or not, I mean there's nothing explicit and it is pretty poorly written. It's all just very boring, I got nothing out of it. I had read that the director, Simon Fuller, influenced a good deal of film-makers but I don't see it from this film.and it received its rating for glazing over the theme of child molestation
Never watch a film based on its posters, rating or taglines.
Can someone recommend a great movie about or set in Ancient Rome? No tv shows please.
Caligula
Heat
That was such a well-made movie. I loved everything about it. Mainly the characters. All of them were strong, well written and acted. I believed every single one. They were perfect for their oles.
I watched this after I kept hearing how good the shootout scene is, and it did not disappoint at all. the gun sounds were incredible.
Fuck, I want another movie like this.
collateral!
the ending's not that good, though.
have you sideways by the same director, jett? it's absolutely wonderful.
Thanks guys.
Caligula sounds interesting. Is it completely out there or does it have "conventional" storytelling? Pics look intriguing.
How is Traffic? Never seen that one.
Besides Collateral, I would suggest Miami Vice (also by Mann) or maybe The Town (by Affleck)Heat

I watched that when I was in high school. Pretty amazing thing to see at that age.CALIGULA is awesome. Has some flaws, but its virtues outclass most other works of similar intent.
its great, and there is male and female nudity( jsut incase that bothers you) , buts its a great movie..

I LOVE nudity!
Best scene in CALIGULA:the wall of death.
Penetration and cumshots, too!
True story: I saw it in the theater when it was re-released in the late 90s. Went with two female friends, felt like a pimp, because most of the audience was solo dudes. Guy in front of us whips it out and starts jerking it. I kicked the back of his chair. He stopped, but stayed for the rest of the movie.

Night Nurse - ***
Quite funny and I can understand why you picked this film for me swoon for I can see bits of pieces that Guy Maddin could have taken from this for Tales of the Gimli Hospital. I wish the third act kept the tone of the first 2/3s but ah well.
No, it was either the vhs version or the first dvd version. I just remember my older cousin letting me use it because I liked the cover. He also told me to not watch it around my mother. In Class
