And considering how many people are Niners fans that's how much of a percentage of the base? I don't like labeling any fans or city by the scum that also happens to root for a team.
Lets be honest here, bay area has the scummiest of all fans on the west of philly.
Redskin fans on the other hand are saints, just being objective here.

Just heard Ray Lewis interview after the game, and it actually made me feel better. He also said he'd be back next year. Not sure how I feel about that yet.

Jesus Christ, one call or one fumble doesn't decide the game. The result at the end of the day is the culmination of every play in the 60 minutes of play.

Instead of crying about the officials or a (forced) fumble, realize that your offense consistently failed to execute on third down.

There were a lot of terrible play throughout the game to lead up until that point. To deny the play that ultimately caused the winning kick though....that is the one play you can point to. The fumble was bullshit but the niners killing each other in the secondary to go for picks was also sorta bad. They had 2 Eli picks in hand and the damn secondary was so damn hungry that they missed both. I never thought I would ever say that a defense was too hungry.

no team was dominated...

It was obvious from my vantage point. The Giants toyed with the 49ers like children, coaxing them into overconfidence with that early TD and then slamming the door shut with lock down D the rest of the way.

I'm not sure how many of Smith's diapers Harbaugh had to change after he was chased by the Giants DL all night, but it didn't seem to improve his accuracy at all. Unless those ankle passes were intentional.

Heh. The scummy fans are super scummy that's the problem. Also Raider Nation types are some scary ass people.

In the words of Steve Weatherford...

THE MOTHERFUCKING SUPER BOWL!!!

God damn, I swear that game took a few years off of my life. So much stress, anxiety and hair pulling, I thought I was going to lose my mind. Thankfully the Giants came through in the end, pretty sure I would have eaten a bullet if they lost after all that.

GG Niners, your defense played their hearts out. Much respect to the players, too bad your coach was too much of a little bitch to even do a postgame interview. What a fucking crybaby.

Has FMT popped in here yet saying how no one expected the Niners to do anything this season and they were playing with house money so the loss doesn't matter? It's going to happen.

But you see my point, how can you call forward progress being stopped when there are dozens and dozens of fumbles every year where someone falling backwards loses the ball. By that standard the only way to ever cause a fumble is to knock the ball out directly with the guy moving forward in momentum.

Forward progress is a rule to stop the play when 3-4 guys have the guy stood up to prevent injury. Not a haphazard way to blow the play dead because a guy is falling backwards. It's just bullshit, that's all, but this is the NFL of course. They make up the rules as they go along.

Needs to be on the new page

G MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN ALL FUCKING DAY

"MOTHER FUCKING SUPER BOWL" all up on national TV

49ers really need some WR's

Shouldn't have given up on B-Lloyd. If he had an even half-way decent QB throwing to him he would've been one of the best WRs in the league over the past 4-5 years. Look at what he did with Kyle Orton. San Fran needs a quarterback but unfortunately for them Smith's fluke performance vs. the Saints means they're basically going to be forced to re-sign him. Crabtree ain't bad and Vernon Davis is one of the best TEs in the league. Add Gore into the mix with his pass-catching ability and you've got an above average core. Alex Smith is a Corey Maggette-esque black hole on the 49ers.

This has been the season of the pretenders and there is one last game to decide it. I am hoping everything balances out and the truth is exposed to you all and that you except it for the positives it will bring to the world.

Petrino
Saban
Carroll
Spurrier

Track records for college coaches arn't so great

Saban and Petrino just quit when things didn't go their way. Spurrier put in 6 hours a day between rounds of golf. I am very interested in Kelly and what he might do. But I don't think Freeman is the QB he needs unless Josh loses a lot of weight
